    Nice dent in that new pipe..... You should do a video on removing dents, all of the ones that I have found are old.

      I think this "dent" you mention is stock, its a flat spot oem on the pipe, not a dent. look at this video, 2:45 czcams.com/video/liIj8zUiOjQ/video.html

    Seems like a no brainer, especially for a beginner. Great stuff, thank you.

    Missed my rear brake practicing standing wheelies, I think this would be a help. My Neighbor
    has been missing the pedal on his KTM 350 as well. Its kinda a small pedal and easy to miss.

    Welcome to the club! Been running this for over a year no problems!

  • @Cactus73

    The clutch case cover you installed, pushes your boot out away from the cases a little bit and that's why you missed your brake pedal. I had the same issue. The stock four stroke KTM brake pedal tips are 5mm longer than the two stroke tips. I installed one of those and I haven't accidentally missed my brake pedal since.

      yeah, all these additional parts -despite having their own purpose- often come with so many side effects....i stay clear of stuff like that, its easier on your wallet too

    I rode my new husky with knee braces the other day and the braces pushed my foot just fad enough away from the pedal that I have to pivot my foot to use the brake now. There was a learning curve involved for sure. This is a cool product and I'll be picking one up.

    I think it’s your clutch cover. It’s a bit wider and you use it as a reference to where your brake lever should be. With it sticking out just that little bit it changes your perception of where the lever is.

  • @taylorbeams2929
    @taylorbeams2929 Před 5 lety

    Your bigger clutch cover is probably what made the difference in not being able to find that brake pedal. I have polisport one on my clutch cover and just that little extra makes a difference. I’ll be getting one of these also. Good video!

    this larger tip is standard on the dirt bike (Husqvarna FC350). I have also replaced it on my enduro motor (Husqvarna FE350)

    I found that with my Sidi crossfire 3’s I started missing my rear brake and I bought the ktm orange extended one. Just the 5mm helped a lot. It’s one of the first thing that gets installed on a bike for me.

  • @taylorbeams2929
    @taylorbeams2929 Před 5 lety

    Kyle I know your not a pipe guard fan but I just put a flatland aluminum one on my stock pipe and it’s pretty dang stout. already saved me from some big rocks. Half the price of the carbon ones and better IMO. Slavens has them

  • @wv4life375

    My feet naturally point out at a bit of an angle when standing so finding the rear brake is always a problem for me. These are a must have for me. I am using the SW Motech one with success.

    I bought a used 2018 EXC-F 350 SixDays and thought that my lever had been bent since I found the tip to be so short. Seems I'm not alone. I'm ordering one of these ASAP!

    Another great video, I would just grind off the first tooth or tip on the break leaver closest to the engine sump cover, as these break lever teeth can end up cranking them...

    When riding your toes are supposed to be pointing inward and on the balls of your feet. when braking move your foot forward and you shouldn't have a problem hitting the brake

  • @robw3761
    @robw3761 Před 4 lety

    Hey Kyle thanks for the video I wanted to let you know that that tip was too big for me and I went with the Tusk one and it was half the cost of that Enduro engineering one I really like it also that dent you got in the pipe Tusk makes a universal two-stroke pipe guard $30 and it doesn't look bad and it gives you more protection than the Carbon Fiber One do

    Take a look at OEM tip installed in 4T 450 and 500. I don't know why but these bikes have wider tip. The part number is 79413051000. Another tip is available in power parts catalog but it is definitely too wide for me.

    I was considering getting a new ktm in the next few months but i was looking at the service manual it said to re do your bearings and your rod at 80 hours is this something you commonly do on ktms I've never done a bottom end with out needing to

    • @Cactus73
      @Cactus73 Před 5 lety +2

      KTM bottom ends typically last over 500 hours.

    • @taylorbeams2929
      @taylorbeams2929 Před 5 lety

      Ktm’s are pretty dang durable guys get lots of hours on oem parts without issues (haters will say differently)
      The manuals are overly conservative on there service intervals just change your oil regularly and keep filters clean and you’ll have no problems.

      My KTM is running just fine with the same bearings and rod, getting close to 400 hours now. Changed the piston once at around 200 hours. The bike is 2012 EXC-F 350 with normal service intervals.
      Still runs as new :-)

  • @Scottstunts
    @Scottstunts Před 5 lety +2

    Instead of buying countless items to make you better just ride more. I use my rear brake more than most for wheelies but I’ve never needed an aftermarket brake lever. Ride more squid.

    • @memmo7732
      @memmo7732 Před 5 lety +1

      agree to disagree, that clutch cover is more beefy and make you miss the brake, one of the reasons why he missed it, but yeah the more you ride the better
