- Its been a hard Winter for my Fuchsia and so its time to prune off some of the damage that the frosts have caused. In this video I remove the Fuchsia stems which have been killed off by the hard frosts and prune back some of the other growth to get a better shape.
Even with all this frost damage the plants are showing signs of new growth and within a few weeks they will be happily growing again.
Thanks for watching

Lovely plants, awesome colurs.
...and the moral is throw nothing out until you give it a chance to revive!
Exactly, especially when it comes to plants which may look completely dead. Many just need time to recover.
Maybe a playlist for your fuchsia updates..? You are making me want to have a fuchsia in my life.. where to put it? 😋 Hugs & sunshine 🌞 N
I have overwinted my fushsia indoors.
Brought them out now and reported them to give them extra nutrients but there are just bare branches. I spray them with a mist in my he morning am I doing everything ok for o make them survive.
They are not the hardy type.
nice vid, how is your ficus benjamina bonsai doing? any updates coming soon? just started one myself because I have been following your one :D
It starting to put on a lot of new growth now the weather has got much sunnier. I'll need to redo the wires soon as they are starting to cut into the stems and I may need to do some light pruning. I'll probably make a video sometime later this month. However I am currently uploading a video about my new cascade ficus benjamina bonsai, so that video should be up later today.
Very helpful video! Do you have an idea on why fuschia plant dries out? I have two fuschias and I had been watering them every day since we have hot summers where I live. However, new buds and leaves have all dried and wilted.
Fuschia plants, although sub tropical, don't like very hot or dry weather. Keep the plants away from the midday sun if you have hot summers and you will need to water almost every day if they are in pots. Here in the UK they grow best in Ireland and the west of Scotland, so they really like cool damp weather. Try to grow them somewhere with some shade and higher humidity levels away from drying winds.
@@Gardeningat58N just went to floors castle and got myself a fuschia, and I live in central Scotland, so hoping it'll survive.
What does your Voodoo giant trailing fuchsia look like this year?

Is this plant dead, mine is also looking like this .I thought it is dead.
