I am at the hospital right now. I had a thyroidectomy earlier today. I am in pain with my throat but watching this video calmed me as I am still receiving antibiotics in my recovery.
💕🤗
Very painful I'm experiencing it too
@@eishychoicy7696 how do you feel now
I am at the hospital day 3 since I had a total thyroidectomy and left neck dissection and right nodules removal due to cyst inside of the nodules. It’s all cancer but hasn’t received the pathology test results what stage of cancer I have… I hope it’s gone away 🙏🙏
Thank you for this informative video
Thank you for the wonderful note! We do listen to feedback from folks on CZcams, and we would love to hear more suggestions for topics. Hope you are doing well.
I've watched several videos and this is by the the most informative one, plus good graphics and animation. Thank you
VipeR Z they hadn't explained steps..Not informative 👎👎waste of time
@@drdreamer7515 it's not a surgical tutorial it's about what will happen 😂
Thank you for this video!
I'm going under surgery this next Monday, please pray for me and pray that the surgery goes well ❤
Are you alright?
I prayed to Allah for you☪️
All the best. I am going for mine in March
I’m on my total thyroidectomy post-op day 15 and I don’t really feel any different aside from the visible little swelling on the surgery area. Right after I woke up from surgery, I was already able to talk and eat soft foods.
Thankful to the doctors, surgeon, and other medical personnel who took really good care of me. 🤍
I'm so thankful for Nucleus Medical Media! You might be just the reason I pass my MCAT
Did you pass?
Hope your procedure went well!
Yes! the surgery went very well, now I'm at home and I'm feeling great! Thank you 😊
I'm a week out of surgery and I feel pretty good. I had a large goiter with nodules. I didn't realize how I didn't feel good intil it's been removed.
Is it normal after surgery
Did u have any calcium issue?
I want to talk with you on this topic cause i have same issue but not having a surgery yet
Same here. Five days out. Feel so much better.
I had it done yesterday and I feel wonderful , I can't believe it blessings to all of you. 💝
I am going in for surgery tomorrow to have my thyroid removed. Praying 🙏🏼 all goes well.
How are you now
I will be admitted this coming June 30, 2015 for thyroidectomy for my right thyroid has swollen for 10cm already....I had this goiter for more than 10 years but I have decided to end my dilemma through surgical procedure..I'm quite scared but hopefully I know I can make it....God is so good all the time!!! good luck too Nayaab...
Are you from ph? Mind to share who's your doctor and what hospital did you had you operation?
Thanks. I got this hyperthyroidism and need to be operated.
how did your surgery go?
+Cryptid Hunter In God's mercy my operation was very successful, i did not feel any pain at all, it's been 7 months now post operation, I was very active at singing before my operation but as of now there's still a little octave that i can't reach when I sing but hopefully I can get my singing voice sooner maybe after 1 year....
+Alethea Cheszcka I only had my operation at SPMC in Davao City, the doctors there were still very young but very expert in their fields of specialization...the hospital is run by the gov't but the services are superb...
this is a pretty good video. I had a total thyroidectomy and bilateral dissection. it's amazing what they can do.
ameliorated did you try yoga it can completely cure your problem
Do you have any noticeable scars?
I have thyroidectomy also. , before four weeks
This was great I have a hyperactive thyriod too im looking for info about getting mine treated. im on meds for it but it doesnt seem to help anymore . Anyone have the same issuse or has gone through the two options would share any pros or cons about them would be nice.
thank you for this video.. This adds to my knowledge
Hello, I worked for That's Solent TV - a local station based in Portsmouth, UK. We're doing a feature about thyroids and I wondered if we could use your excellent video in our report? Many thanks.
I was diagnosed with hashimoto disease last year, i find out next month if i get my thyroid removed
what happen without the thyroid?
I have a toxic goiter for 11years now, due to that my heart is affected also and the doctor said that i have already a sever MR. Beacuse of that i find another doctor who is expert for my case and he said that my goiter is a nodular and need an operation because medication wont heal this that only operation can. But it is safe for me to have an operation even though the result of my Ft4(im not sure the name of the test ) is very high? The normal is 14 and my last result is 59.. We've plan that this coming december,we will do the operation.. Is it safe for me?
Please I need your advice. Thank you

Thank you, NucleusAnimation team. I have been concerned about my Thyroid but this does not give the side-effects of an injured Thyroid, but this is a great video and it's enough proof that you've read my mail I sent in and you do care for my health. Thanks guys, I shall be forever in debt to you. :)
I just found out I’ll be having surgery on my thyroid. Got a 2.4 cm nodule and an overreactive thyroid. This was very helpful thank you
My one is nearly 5cm😳they’re thinking of removing
@@lunapaz5222 girl, we’re the same. I have a 5cm nodule and I’m a bit hesitant to do the surgery . Did your endocrinologist say there are other options?
Did you have hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism?
@Luna Da Paz Sousa i am having 6.5 TSH levels. I am 24. What should I do?

My mom had to have her thyroid removed in 2009 or 2010. She has taking medication called synthroid for it since then.
I just had my thyroid removed yesterday. I had a huge goiter. My neck was huge before the surgery. But as soon as I had the surgery my neck went down.
Hi! Would love to hear how you're doing now? Did the surgery help with problems you had? Have you been able to get the medication right?
@@j00f yes I was able to get medication. It’s working well. I’m doing just fine.
When you take out your thyroid, do you gain weight alot more easier? Because my dad is having the surgery and I don't want him to be fat, I just want him to be himself.. :(
Did you need to intubate if you take a operation?
What happen if theire thryoid remove? can they live without?
I'm getting this and I'm nervous..does it make your eyes go normal again? I have the goiter
Thanks for the video. It's good to know what to expect. I don't know yet for certain if I'm having mine removed but I probably will be. They found a 3.6cm nodule, now to have it checked to see what it is then go from there.
nice work!keep on the great work.I 'd lije to see videos about alzheimer
Is parathyroidal autotransplantation during complete thyroidectomy commonly performed? Or does it depend on the certain disease of the thyroid gland?
yea
Thanks
if i have choice i woudnt go to surgery for my graves desease but since my thyroid always overactive the doctor suggest to remove it.im kind of nervous right now.i hope everything will be fine.
Elda Jarleh Allen it’s actually better because otherwise doing iodine radioactive would make your Graves’ disease worse. I got my surgery tomorrow
Yes have it removed the radioactive treatment will effect your eyes
Same, except i have 3 choices:

Hi. wondering if you've had any weight issues after surgery? I'm having mine taken out on Wednesday.
Mary Kay Andrews hi. Hows life without thyroid? Please answer. My dr. Is planing to remove mine.
Awesome
I didn't know the thyroid was in charge of raising your body heat.... just might have an overactive one cause I get really hot during the day when I'm not even cold :I
It was been a year since I have gotten half of my thyroid taken out (I was 12) and its a 1.2% chance for children my to get the type of tumor I got. And in that percentage they would most likely get cancer from it but some how I didn't get cancer. I had a swollen gland and it started pushing on my air way. So they ended up treating it like cancer. So many doctors were interested in it, I remember one doctor within the first minute talking to him he wanted to take an ultrasound just to see what it looked like. I was admitted on the 19th of December 2017 ahhh that was a fun christmas...
5 years down the line, how has it been?
Thanks mam
Then if its removed then what happen to our body
What about parathyroid
More video please seriously more
very rational information
I’m having this surgery tomorrow
I have to have surgery on my thyroid because I have a goiter and I’m scared. I have never had surgery in my life...shit I never have broken a single bone in my body....I’m scared but I have to go through with the process I know for sure. Any advice?
I was in the same situation, first ever surgery.
I had anesthesia so slept and didn't feel anything during the surgery. Quite a funny experience to feel it kick in before you go to sleep 😝
After the surgery I got painkillers, so you shouldn't worry much about it. Wish you all the best 😊
Kenugget thank you. I’m in the hospital now lol it was that bad. I went to sleep so fast before I made it to the operation room!😂😂 that’s funny you replied the day of my surgery that’s cool. Thanks again
Well, you'll be more tired throughout the day trying to stay awake with sheer willpower, you'll start feeling really bad, you'll be constantly run down, hair falls out and/or gets brittle (fragile) and extremely agitated. Not to mention a-lot of other symtoms that go along with that. That's what happens when you do not have a Thyroid.
If you take no medication for like months I ain got 1 n I’m chillen
That's how I am now WITH my thyroid. But that's what the daily medication is for once you have it removed - to produce the hormones your body is no longer producing on its own.
is this for hyperthyroidism
why my t3 t4 tsh are all within ranch when my whole thyroid was removed and i am not on thyroxine pills tq
could be malignant but non functioning?
I gotta go to the doctor because everyone around me is saying I either have something wrong with my thyroid or I have PCOS. I have symptoms of both but more of thyroid issues.
No wonder I feel crazy, I've had thyroidectemy 15yrs ago, can't work anymore due to extreme fatigue. Weight gain, weight loss the past 15yrs. I'm tired, Lord take me home soon, I'm over it....
Why not just ask Him to heal your heart , and mind.
Dont you take medication to replace the hormones? Im asking bcz i have to undergo the surgery and i am nervous
Oh my god , I’ll be admitted Dec 28 2017 to extract mine
Saeed Majrashi how was it
thyroid taken out 4 years ago. I remember when i woke up from the surgery, the surgeon asked me if i wanted to see what my thyroid looked like and i said no. i regret that :< i

how's yr mom surgery goes?
I'm getting the whole thing remove
That may have to be the case with me I'm not sure I'm kind of worried about it though I'm going to have an ultrasound on my thyroid on Friday and then I got to have it scoped and I'm hoping that I don't have to have it removed cuz I'm afraid of getting surgery in general
I might be getting this I’m extremely scared
Oh give me a break, I had the procedure done the best decision I ever made, Virtually painless in the hospital only overnight. I take one pill once in the morning just like you would take a multi vitamin once A-day no big deal. No longer do I have to worry about if the thyroid become cancerous because once it does that a different ball game. Then you talking About chemotherapy and radiation. And nothing is worth going through that.
Me too
Don't be afraid I've have many operations. It was the easiest I ever had. It's been 8years now. Always use a good moisturizer so it won't scar as bad. It didn't hurt at all ever. I went to John's Hopkins if you are in Maryland. They are the school of medicine. So interns worked with a great surgeon.
Really it's not bad. Learn and understand all about it. It will help your anxiety. Wishing you well
No worry just got it done 2 days ago it didn't hurt they don't insert the breathing tube until your completely out of it i wasn't even scared they removed my complete thyroid and recovery was almost instant i still feel woosey from losing so much blood and the anaesthesia but i feel 90% besides that. Hope i helped.
@@yzzo84 how is your life after the surgery? I will undergo it and i am scared
