Really? I've been shaving mine for years cause they were hairy and I can go awhile now without shaving them literally at least a month or longer. They never itch.

A good replacement for arm hair removal is Nair. It gets it at the roots and avoid that itchy phase. I agree we all have the individual right to decide whether to remove our arm hair or not; but for those who wanna; that’s a smart way to go. Just follow instructions!!
i had a girlfriend who had harry arms - she one day decided to shave them for the first time and it felt so wrong.. It was a terribly odd feeling - like she was pre-pubescent. That's when I realised something I had never really verbalised before: Body hair isn't a man thing - it's a human thing that tends to happen when we mature. I understand social pressures are incredibly strong and everyone's situation differs, but if you can, try to remind yourself that it's just how the body works - you can go all your life fighting against it or just accept this is how you are and move on. The people you lose because of these cosmetic things were not worth keeping to begin with.

As a man with not a lot of arm hair, I’m jealous 😂 I’ve seen super muscular, hyper-masculine men who naturally have no body hair, hyper-feminine women who have a lot, and people of all genders and expressions in between. We’re all unique and that’s a good thing
I've found using an epilator (it pulls them out instead of cutting them) causes my hair to slowly give up growing back 😂 my legs are a lil patchy when it grows in but omg there's so much less hair

i have hairy arms and im aware that it is a natural thing to have but i do still prefer to wax/shave it. however, i am not embarrassed for having body hair. some people just rlly prefer to remove their body hair to feel good for themselves. some people just want to do it not to impress anyone nor theyre pressured by the society

I don't find arm hair uncomfortable, but don't expect everyone not to, that's what I mean. Your body keeps you alive, it's a miracle on its own, not a reason to torture yourself over something you have more or less of.
Just because it's natural doesn't mean we have to keep and like it. It's about preference. I shave at time for example because i have freckles on my arms that you wouldn't be able to see otherwise. Theres nothing wrong with it to keep. Also nothing wrong with waxing/shaving it.
You need to apply it in the direction of the growth and then rip it the opposite way. The more you wax, the less you'll have to. If you pull it out with the root, that hair will not grow back. Also if you do smaller sections, rip in one fluid motion and then immediately put your hand on the spot you just waxed, it helps to not hurt as bad. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and these are things I've learned over the years. Also don't wax the same spot twice in one day. Especially on sensitive areas!! You'll blister, it will NOT be fun. Also make sure that you wash your hands a LOT. And you can use baby oil to remove wax. If you need any more pointers, lemme know.
@@anshuchawla6463 there are a few products made specifically to help reduce the redness. Gigi post wax cooling gel is pretty readily available. The acne that you mention makes me a little concerned about the wax your using. Meaning I get acne looking areas with some waxes. When in fact, it's actually an allergic reaction. You may want to switch up your wax for a sensitive skin wax. Also make sure that you're not applying it too hot. The acne your seeing may actually be more of a blistering. Also make sure you're doing the appropriate pre and post waxing procedures based on the wax you're using. It's all important when you have sensitive skin. The redness may not be avoidable for some folks. But you can usually decrease the time that you're red.
I honestly can’t be bothered to get rid of the hair on my arms. So I’m writing this comment to remind my fellow hairy girls that it’s fine to keep it if you want to as well :)
You can shave it with no pain by using a mens electric razor like a Phillips. You can do it directly on dry skin no shaving cream no harsh blades. I had mine bleached when I was a teenager. I like the option of the electric razor no redness no pain no fuss. I wouldn’t recommend waxing it. Laser is a great option too. ❤😊
I understand that everyone has preferences for how their body looks, but having body hair isn't something to be ashamed of, I wish more people would make that clear. It's quite literally normal. I lived my life until age 23 ashamed and embarrassed by how fast mine grows back, shaving left me with rashes, waxing hurt too much, and laser is expensive. Now at 26, I proudly wear a short dress with my wooly mammoth legs 🤷🏻♀️ I don't give a single fuck anymore.
You could have PCOS, I have it, it causes my hair to grow back fast and thick. If you notice your periods aren’t accurate, and your growing hair on other places of your body like the back, or face or even if it’s hard to lose weight. These are signs of PCOS. PCOS causes higher testosterone levels which then causes the hair growth to grow faster, thicker and darker.

I used to be so insecure about hair on my body. It was so bad the point where I stopped wearing shorts, dresses, and a jacket. No matter how many times I shaved/wax the hair would grow back in a day. One day I said “fuck it” and quit doing that. It’s not going anywhere and it’s a part of me. Might as well learn to love it. Now I can wear shorts, dresses, and have my arms out again.

Social media does that unfortunately. It plays into our insecurities but it doesn’t mean we should be insecure about things that are natural. Body hair is natural. My mom has hairy arms & so do I. I shave mine all the time, I have PCOS, if you have thick dark arm hair, it could be PCOS, if you notice you don’t have regular periods, you have dark body hair in places of your body that resemble a man, (back,arms,face) this could be signs of PCOS. This is caused by higher amounts of testosterone in the body which causes thicker body hair, fertility issues and weight gain. Some women just have dark hair in general, but if you notice your cycles are not right, or your growing dark thick hair on other places on your body, this could be signs to PCOS. Sadly there isn’t much that can be done about PCOS other than diet and weight loss. So regardless you could have the dark hair issue.
Me and my sisters have hairy arms too. This guy really liked my sister, because she’s so intelligent and pretty. They hit it off pretty well…until he saw her hairy arms…he said, “I don’t like body hair in girls” I thought it was a pretty immature thing to say. But everyone has preferences, right? Still, I think it was a petty reason for him to stop hanging out with my sister. I told her it’s okay, you deserve someone who loves ALL of you, and doesn’t care about something superficial as body hair.
Younger me always wondered why some people can't feel it when a fly or mosquito lands on their skin while I do most of the time. Saved me from lots of mosquito bites.
I personally love hair on my arms. The hair on my arms is wild and can’t be tamed 😂 but I think it’s nice and luckily have no insecurities about my body. I’ve got nothing against people who don’t like their hair but make sure to do it for oneself not for people who probably don’t care if they like you.

When I was in second or first grade I was bullied for having arm hair and I started to wear hoodies in 100 degree weather I just moved schools and I found this group of people that love me for who I am and I stopped wearing hoodies all the time I still do because it makes me feel safe and comfortable but I’ve never been more comfortable around people till now and I’m so happy! If there is anyone out there with arm hair that just shows your unique and don’t hide it your beautiful the way you are never be afraid of being different from everyone else!!!

I shaved my arms for 10 freaking years until I finally stopped a year ago. Best decision. I bleach mine so they aren’t as noticeable, but honestly, why can men look like Chewbacca and us women have to be dolphins?
I have visible arm hair too, as well as my legs, but I never really cared. I just like it, especially when my family talks about stories from their past where they are all so envious of their classmates and friends having arm hairs that they'd shave their non-existent arm hair in hopes it'd thicken and become visible. Also, no guy ever liked me as a girl GENUINELY so nobody really judges. And the guys in our classroom, they have specific tastes in women, yet asks us why we wax our armpits when having hair there is completely normal🤣
As a beauty therapist doing it in the direction she's doing it could cause you to rip your skin off so try do it on more of an angle or cut the strips in half hope this helps ❤️
i used to shave my arm and hand/finger hair because i got made fun of it, but then after a while i just stopped caring about it and let it grow back. it grew back pretty thick (considering the fact that i had been shaving it for over three years and then just stopped), but it was worth the feeling of freedom from anyone's dumb opinions. arm hair is natural- just like facial hair, leg hair, and pubic hair- and it is there for a reason :)
I really agree and appreciate this confidence, yeah it's nothing to be ashamed of for some beauty and fashion standards, even if very visible, I agree it's there for a reason. Some people may choose to shave them because they personally like the look more and if done gently it's really safe, but it should really be a free choice, not pressured, like a haircut, though it's better to never shave more often than necessary once or twice a week limit shaving to zones of the body where hair is at least dark enough to be visible, not covered by clothes and to not touch finer hair or fuzz and vellus. For those who like to ofc. By "just stopped" you mean stopped recently or stopped shaving abruptly? As over time it should get at least a bit softer and similar to before and not increase anymore (:.

@@nialee3374 You're welcome, I think while on one hand it may sound it's true that among women who shave more of them may choose to also shave what used to among the "taboo" zones, which includes arm, while maybe in past more of them waxed or did nothing if afraid of pain, rightly so, because science which got more readily accessible refuted very significant effects of shaving in stimulating hair growth, as some effects of shaving like the blunt cut are not actually thicker hair and often actually thicker hair which come after shaving doesn't come because of it, but for the most part from hormones and growing up. Some sources suggest there can be a stimulation which can elongate the anagen phase, which seems to make sense as a fully grown hair apparently grows back once shaved, then stops again tho if it can reach the full length ^_^ dw. On the other hand I think women not shaving hair is more accepted despite a lot of videos seemingly suggesting to shave everything, including fingers, which is really excessive. Similarly so I think for men makeup, heels and painting nails whatever their sexual preferences are, which is positive, It's seen more like just any haircut, espacially for alternative fashion styles. Sorry I made the "one hand" paragraph quite long and went out of hand :D! as it contained the reason to worry less about shaving. like if we take away this misconception, it's possible there's a contribution and stimulation in shaving but probably very minimal and hence acceptable for many and relieving so I think it's more that more of the people who already wanted a hairless body were afraid of the myth or of the pain of waxing, decided to shave more zones like arms and stomach, maybe the foot sometimes. But as said some seem to add unnecessary further self care exigencies, I really agree, although most of the comments seem supportive of any choice at least.
i’m middle eastern, french, and italian, so i have dark hair pretty much everywhere. i might shave my entire body but i leave my arms alone. if a man has an issue with something as minor as that, i want nothing to do with him.

They're Veet. They're EXTREMELY expensive and they don't have more than maybe 10 pieces in there (which become 20). You need to reuse the wax paper which can stretch the use but they're not very good. I don't recommend them

I had hairy arms since I was in grade 1. All the girls would point at it and whisper to each other. It really affected my confidence so bad, that it even kept me from making friends.
I hope you are past that now, I’m a guy and I feel that it is silly for girls to shave arms (maybe legs makes sense? I’ve had to shave my hair around my hamstrings multiple times for being EXTREMELY long but I doubt girls get that), the girl in this video just seemed like a normal healthy girl, it’s not unattractive to me for a girl to have body hair and I’m sure it is the same for many other people.

This brings back memories because ive always found body hair attractive no matter the gender and i remember being soooo into this one person with hairy arms, anyways fast forward a few years, they told me they got it removed with laser and as much as i'll always support people doing what gives them confidence in their appearance, i never considered they could be bothered by the hair. Wish i had told them back then how beautiful it was to me and how much it complimented their personality well. Just all around a very confident, practical and naturally gorgeous person.

A good replacement for arm hair removal is Nair. It gets it at the roots and avoid that itchy phase. I agree we all have the individual right to decide whether to remove our arm hair or not; but for those who wanna; that’s a smart way to go. Just follow instructions!!
i had a girlfriend who had harry arms - she one day decided to shave them for the first time and it felt so wrong.. It was a terribly odd feeling - like she was pre-pubescent. That's when I realised something I had never really verbalised before: Body hair isn't a man thing - it's a human thing that tends to happen when we mature.
I understand social pressures are incredibly strong and everyone's situation differs, but if you can, try to remind yourself that it's just how the body works - you can go all your life fighting against it or just accept this is how you are and move on. The people you lose because of these cosmetic things were not worth keeping to begin with.
That's why I like a little hair "downstairs."

I've found using an epilator (it pulls them out instead of cutting them) causes my hair to slowly give up growing back 😂 my legs are a lil patchy when it grows in but omg there's so much less hair

You need to apply it in the direction of the growth and then rip it the opposite way. The more you wax, the less you'll have to. If you pull it out with the root, that hair will not grow back. Also if you do smaller sections, rip in one fluid motion and then immediately put your hand on the spot you just waxed, it helps to not hurt as bad. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and these are things I've learned over the years. Also don't wax the same spot twice in one day. Especially on sensitive areas!! You'll blister, it will NOT be fun. Also make sure that you wash your hands a LOT. And you can use baby oil to remove wax. If you need any more pointers, lemme know.

@@anshuchawla6463 there are a few products made specifically to help reduce the redness. Gigi post wax cooling gel is pretty readily available. The acne that you mention makes me a little concerned about the wax your using. Meaning I get acne looking areas with some waxes. When in fact, it's actually an allergic reaction. You may want to switch up your wax for a sensitive skin wax. Also make sure that you're not applying it too hot. The acne your seeing may actually be more of a blistering. Also make sure you're doing the appropriate pre and post waxing procedures based on the wax you're using. It's all important when you have sensitive skin. The redness may not be avoidable for some folks. But you can usually decrease the time that you're red.

You can shave it with no pain by using a mens electric razor like a Phillips. You can do it directly on dry skin no shaving cream no harsh blades. I had mine bleached when I was a teenager. I like the option of the electric razor no redness no pain no fuss. I wouldn’t recommend waxing it. Laser is a great option too. ❤😊

I understand that everyone has preferences for how their body looks, but having body hair isn't something to be ashamed of, I wish more people would make that clear. It's quite literally normal. I lived my life until age 23 ashamed and embarrassed by how fast mine grows back, shaving left me with rashes, waxing hurt too much, and laser is expensive. You could have PCOS, I have it, it causes my hair to grow back fast and thick. If you notice your periods aren’t accurate, and your growing hair on other places of your body like the back, or face or even if it’s hard to lose weight. These are signs of PCOS. PCOS causes higher testosterone levels which then causes the hair growth to grow faster, thicker and darker.

I used to be so insecure about hair on my body. It was so bad the point where I stopped wearing shorts, dresses, and a jacket. No matter how many times I shaved/wax the hair would grow back in a day. One day I said “fuck it” and quit doing that. It’s not going anywhere and it’s a part of me. Might as well learn to love it. Now I can wear shorts, dresses, and have my arms out again.

I shave mine all the time, I have PCOS, if you have thick dark arm hair, it could be PCOS, if you notice you don’t have regular periods, you have dark body hair in places of your body that resemble a man, (back,arms,face) this could be signs of PCOS. This is caused by higher amounts of testosterone in the body which causes thicker body hair, fertility issues and weight gain. Some women just have dark hair in general, but if you notice your cycles are not right, or your growing dark thick hair on other places on your body, this could be signs to PCOS. Sadly there isn’t much that can be done about PCOS other than diet and weight loss. So regardless you could have the dark hair issue.

Me and my sisters have hairy arms too. This guy really liked my sister, because she’s so intelligent and pretty. They hit it off pretty well…until he saw her hairy arms…he said, “I don’t like body hair in girls” I thought it was a pretty immature thing to say. But everyone has preferences, right? Still, I think it was a petty reason for him to stop hanging out with my sister. When I was in second or first grade I was bullied for having arm hair and I started to wear hoodies in 100 degree weather I just moved schools and I found this group of people that love me for who I am and I stopped wearing hoodies all the time I still do because it makes me feel safe and comfortable but I’ve never been more comfortable around people till now and I’m so happy! If there is anyone out there with arm hair that just shows your unique and don’t hide it your beautiful the way you are never be afraid of being different from everyone else!!!

i used to shave my arm and hand/finger hair because i got made fun of it, but then after a while i just stopped caring about it and let it grow back. it grew back pretty thick (considering the fact that i had been shaving it for over three years and then just stopped), but it was worth the feeling of freedom from anyone's dumb opinions. arm hair is natural- just like facial hair, leg hair, and pubic hair- and it is there for a reason :)
I really agree and appreciate this confidence, yeah it's nothing to be ashamed of for some beauty and fashion standards, even if very visible, I agree it's there for a reason. Some people may choose to shave them because they personally like the look more and if done gently it's really safe, but it should really be a free choice, not pressured, like a haircut, though it's better to never shave more often than necessary once or twice a week limit shaving to zones of the body where hair is at least dark enough to be visible, not covered by clothes and to not touch finer hair or fuzz and vellus. Some sources suggest there can be a stimulation which can elongate the anagen phase, which seems to make sense as a fully grown hair apparently grows back once shaved, then stops again tho if it can reach the full length ^_^ dw.
On the other hand I think women not shaving hair is more accepted despite a lot of videos seemingly suggesting to shave everything, including fingers, which is really excessive.
Similarly so I think for men makeup, heels and painting nails whatever their sexual preferences are, which is positive, It's seen more like just any haircut, espacially for alternative fashion styles.
Sorry I made the "one hand" paragraph quite long and went out of hand :D! as it contained the reason to worry less about shaving. like if we take away this misconception, it's possible there's a contribution and stimulation in shaving but probably very minimal and hence acceptable for many and relieving so I think it's more that more of the people who already wanted a hairless body were afraid of the myth or of the pain of waxing, decided to shave more zones like arms and stomach, maybe the foot sometimes.
But as said some seem to add unnecessary further self care exigencies, I really agree, although most of the comments seem supportive of any choice at least.
i’m middle eastern, french, and italian, so i have dark hair pretty much everywhere. i might shave my entire body but i leave my arms alone. if a man has an issue with something as minor as that, i want nothing to do with him.

They're Veet. They're EXTREMELY expensive and they don't have more than maybe 10 pieces in there (which become 20). You need to reuse the wax paper which can stretch the use but they're not very good. I don't recommend them

I had hairy arms since I was in grade 1. All the girls would point at it and whisper to each other. It really affected my confidence so bad, that it even kept me from making friends.
I hope you are past that now, I’m a guy and I feel that it is silly for girls to shave arms (maybe legs makes sense? I’ve had to shave my hair around my hamstrings multiple times for being EXTREMELY long but I doubt girls get that), the girl in this video just seemed like a normal healthy girl, it’s not unattractive to me for a girl to have body hair and I’m sure it is the same for many other people.

This brings back memories because ive always found body hair attractive no matter the gender and i remember being soooo into this one person with hairy arms, anyways fast forward a few years, they told me they got it removed with laser and as much as i'll always support people doing what gives them confidence in their appearance, i never considered they could be bothered by the hair. Wish i had told them back then how beautiful it was to me and how much it complimented their personality well. Just all around a very confident, practical and naturally gorgeous person.
