Basmati is not predominantly used in cooking to stabilize price while Russian and Ukranian conflict is affecting oil+ grain prices ,India must do what it must to cap prices back home . It's simple math

Reason was Grain based distillery spirit for liquor and sugar based feed stock for fuel based petrol blending due to reduce the crude oil usage to increse the ethanol blending 20% With petrol simultaneously grain spirits for Liquor manufacturing and pharma use....
thats why crores of money is spent on freebies and not for the basic grain storage infra structure for storing the paddy.
