  • The GMC Acadia is all-new for 2024, getting a complete redesign inside and out. It’s now bigger, measuring nearly 11 inches longer and 3 inches taller. Stand-out features include a new rugged AT4 trim with a lifted suspension, twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system, and also a refined Denali trim. Acadia is a midsize SUV that seats 5, 6, or 7 passengers depending on configuration and is only available as a 4-door wagon.
    Competitors include the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Buick Enclave, Lexus RX and Ford Explorer.
    Four trims are available: Elevation, Premium, AT4, and Denali. One engine is available: A turbo 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. All pair to a 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard with all-wheel drive being optional. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 5,000 pounds. Pricing ranges from $39,000 to $52,000.

    Great Video ! Question ? GM is going to this shifter on the steering wheel. Can you give some demonstration of how that works. It looks so cheap and the left side of the steering wheel looks overburdened ( Lights, Wipers,Blinkers) . Also I am not seeing built in garage door openers. Also do the door trim lights run through the back seats . If you could clarify these issues that would be great . GM cuts corners sometimes to save a few bucks a car , this seems to be a great model but few things missing or cut . Love your videos . Thanks in advance

    Infocenter controls too much and is too low, the driver needs to be looking at the road and traffic.

      The exact same thing could be said about the Ford and RAM vertical screens that take your eyes off of the road. At least GMC is offering physical buttons down below that you can feel and don’t have to keep your eyes off of the road for very long. Not the case in the RAM and Ford who have buttons literally all around the screens and all over the damn place.

    The only thing i don't like is the shifter stalk. It's going to take a while for folks to get used to that since we haven't had column shifters since basically the 90's. And i see a lot of folks reaching for it as a wiper function or turn signal. And that could pose a danger. They should have put a dial shifter which many SUV's are using now a days. I know they were trying to free up space. But honestly i think it's more a safety hazard then anything else. Otherwise i luv the color combo blue on beige. And the entire masculinity of the truck.

    Turbo engines
    The majority of the driving public do not know enough about engines, turbos, cubic inches, torque and horsepower to care. Just like and air compressor, the higher the pressure you run it the shorter the life of the pump, a car engine is a pump. Turbo's pressurize the engine to falsely make it put out more power. The 4 cylinders lose power as they get more miles on them, there is no substitute for cubic inches, horsepower and torque. I have built engines and turb's boost the pressure into the small engines creating more power at the expense of the life of the engine. Your maintenance cost will exponentially increase with a turbo when it fails. Any economy you may have gotten from the turbo will be totally lost on the replacement cost of the turbo. This vehicle is way too large/heavy for a 4 cylinder. A long list of gadgets will not negate the lack of power from a 4 cylinder, not to mention the turbo lag when you need all the power from the small 4 cylinder. GM has lost this customer. We have a 2017 ACADIA V-6, 34 MPG highway.

    • @paulcicero3862
      @paulcicero3862 Před 5 měsíci +6

      Someone who calls a 4cyl a V4 shouldn't be commenting on car powertrains. What don't you like? The increased power? The increased torque? The increased gas mileage?
