This is the quality we need in this community. Informative and thorough but direct and concise. I look forward to any other videos you create for this model. Thanks.
Thanks for this in depth assembly procedure. It was nice to see you grease bearings , loctite bolts and electric grease on connectors. This will eliminate many problems down the road. May I also suggest emptying the fork oil (while you have the forks out) and measuring how much oil was in there and also replacing it with quality fork oil and proper amount (don't know what the Chinese are putting in there during the manufacturing process). Same goes for the break fluid and motor oil (which you did)! What most folks don't realize when buying these Chinese bikes are most come dryer than an old ladies twat! You need to grease everything (lubrication is your friend) along with loctite everything (which most folks know about). Great camera work and voice over. No over bearing and annoying techno music needed.
Changing fork oil at that point would be a good idea. I didn't want to overwhelme a novice.
Please make a valve adjustment video! This video was very good. Thank you. This is the third time I watched it. I know the comment was 12 seconds in lol
Amazing video, nicely done. Hoping to pick one of these up myself.
Great video! Well done!! Subscribed and look forward to more informative vids!!
Hey man awesome video. Extremely thorough!
Glad it helped!
I WANT THIS GUY BUILDING MY BIKE! GREAT VIDEO!
Its important to go through and check a few items after the first few rides, shifter, kickstand and exhaust flange bolts like to come loose. Also check spokes every ride until the spoke nipples bed in.
Could u help me please
My bike is coming next month this same one and I never put a bike together
@@392jay3 not a proplem.
Some people break engines in with non detergent oil. Then shortly swap to the correct detergent oil which deals with the acid in the oil from the burnt gas leaking past the piston rings
Excellent thx, highly appreciated
Well Done!!
Awesome video! Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub!
Can tell by your shoes your a winner good video for beginners and the rest of us just preorderd the RXB 250l
The new 2021 bike is totally different than that one. Everything is upgraded!
@@mushmanadventures are the parts going to be really different? i'm gonna try and use your video to get through installation lol
Assembly should be the same. There are a few tasks to add. Change fork oil and grease the swing arm pivot.
@@mushmanadventures dang thanks alot, i already downloaded your video in case for some reason it got taken down or something. not that that would happen but you know how youtube can be
Nice ride with moto cheez
Finally someone who uses quality oil🙏🙏
I've used it for years!
GREAT video. Worth checking or even replacing the shock oil to.
Yes, change the fork oil, 5wt. The stock stuff is garbage. I didnt inclufe it in the video as not to overwhelm a novice.
@@mushmanadventures GREAT video! I learned a lot watching it!
Should be here any day
I live in south Florida and would love to come and ride with you guys. I am also waiting for the 2021 to come in stock. What size jets do you recommend for our bikes being at sea level or what works best for you?
It sound a good bike with a reasonable price ,I didn't like the gasoline filter out side the reservoir ,in Japanese bike a small and tall like a pencil inside the reservoir ,but it is a nice well done bike ,I wonder if I could have it here in Algeria ???
I'm also in FL, what jet size did you use for main and pilot?
Hi. how do you install the exhaust crash gasket? The flat side towards the engine or towards the pipe?
I don't think it really matters, it gets crushed flat anyway.
hey quick question, i saw the CDI Box upgrade in your amazon store page, was wondering did you find that gave a significant upgrade? also is it reliable? saw some negative reviews on amazon. on the 2021 model, thanks
Unfortunately the supply of the exact cdi is inconsistent. The one I had worked amazing on the 2020 model. The 2021 model was shipped with a much better cdi. I would stick with the original.
@@mushmanadventures cool thx for the info
Are these upgrades stock in the 2021 model? I took the exhaust apart and there's already a copper crush gasket
The 2021 has the upgraded crush gasket. It's a good idea to order some spares off amazon.
Can i use that trick at 10:43 to set my 150xl gauge if its off when i get it? I notice most of these dont come calibrated very well from factory to tell accurate speed. The new 150xl's('21) come with 19"/16" tries btw. Something telling me i should be setting gauge to "19"21 for me. hmmm. Does that copper crush gasket come with the bike? Your links do not work btw.
Links are outdated. Thats an old video. The calabration process is on the orion rxb riders group on facebook.
@@mushmanadventures i dont use facebook sorry. Is it same process for 150xl as you show in video here? Oh yea GREAT video btw, i consider this the Godfather of assembly videos for the 150/250xl. Learned alot
The procudure is the same. One number is diameter the other is the number of pulses per revolution. Just use the gps on your phone and experiment. I got both bikes almost perfect just takes a few min.
@@mushmanadventures yea figured it just takes some messing around with. ty.
question about the Oil change in the video it looks like you drained the bikes oil from the bottom, I thought you could only drain the oil from the side of the bike ? Am I wrong ?
Nope, i drilled a bigger hole in the skid plate. Oil changes are cleaner that way. Offset the hole to the kickstand side so it wont dribble on top of the skid plate. When its amost done draining stand the bike up level. Then remove the filter. Its way less mess that way.
@@mushmanadventures one more question when calibrating the speedometer what’s the significance of the numbers you put in on the 2nd turn on ? & would those numbers be the same with the 17” sumo wheels ?
@@RedSport555 no, for the 21" you will have to use a gps app on your phone and experiment to get close on a 17".
Thanks for the vids, do you know if the new 249/250L will have the larger gas tank and the 6th gear?
Rumor is a 249cc 6 speed counter balanced. New frame/husky plastics, rear rack, 2.6 gal and passenger pegs.
Any time line with the rumers?
Do you have any idea how many they order at a time? I feel like a kid at Christmas, lol
@@mikep4207 they are being produced at a new factory. Production is just about ready so I'm told. Should be here may/june. But this is all rumor and speculation! ;-)
We should hear an official statement from Orion in a few weeks.
Sounds great thanks, keep the awesome vids coming. always great !
Where did you get the crush washer for the exhaust head pipe? What size?
www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1TAQPR7UWEPE9?ref_=wl_share
That is a list of Items on my bike. All tested and fit well.
What’s all the oil and stuff u had where can I get that at
@@392jay3 Oil is rotella t4 from Walmart, graphite/dry lube, dielectric grease and moly grease you can get at walmart or any auto parts store.
14:07 NICE xD
Do you know where the Federal emission sticker is located on this bike I have the 2021 version but it should be the same I think
No emissions sticker, these are grey market bikes. they sneak these in under the "competition race use only" loophole. I wish I had know when I bought mine. I cant get a tag for my 2021.
@@mushmanadventures ok thank you have you heard of dirt legal
@@AngelHernandez-lv7xy yes. there are ways of getting a tag but I just bought a honda 300. Selling all of the orion bikes.
I didn’t ride my bike for a while now it won’t start when I push the button it just clicks I’m assuming it has a dead battery I charged it but still no luck. I just read somewhere online you’re supposed to be pull in the break in order to get it to start I never did it before. Is that really a thing?
Yes, charge the battery, drain the old fuel from the float bowl. Then apply front or rear brake while starting.
Can you recommend a battery zero fit or work?
Just take your old battery to Walmart. They have an exact match. You could buy a zero gravity or equivalent but I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a china bike.
How can i order and ship it up to philippines?. How is the procedure?. I appreciate your help sir thank u
Check out the GPX brand they may be easier to get
Gpx orders are backed up as well. These are for the US market. Check for local importers of a similar product.
Where did you buy your bike from
Orion Powersports in Texas.
Hey does anyone know how many pounds of torque I need for the wheels in the fronts?
That would be a question to ask in the Orion FB group. I just guess.
@@mushmanadventures what did you put?
@@mushmanadventures where is that at if anything
Wau😮👍👍👍
Did you get your 2021 model?
Yep, my wife Samantha took it!!!
@@mushmanadventures nice did it need any work? or did you get pro prep?
Diesel engine oil is not formulated for gasoline engines. Research it
I have. Recluse engineers recommend it to me in 2005 and have had great luck. Look at the certifications on Rotella and "motorcycle" oil. Same!
