You could replace the end rods with stairs and the items would bounce side to side.
How would it bounce and end rods is smaller than stairs
Minecraft items bounce when thrown on stairs
If it bounces then how can you get lower grade weapons
Don’t know if it’s different in Java but items don’t bounce on stairs
I’m pretty sure they don’t?

You should do a game where two players utilize the comet item and the other player had to dodge the comets for loot. The longer they dodge, the better the reward.

U can turn it into a plinko by putting there ice blocks and some pistons that push the item
You can use blocks with conveyors on them for a more convincing game

For it to be better plinko you could set up a similar board but a minecart is dropping onto flat blocks with powered rails so the cart goes randomly and at the bottom there are different sections for the cart to fall into. The rank of a color decides how wide it is, and if it lands on the blocks that separate the colors it counts as gray

I’m so good at this game I do it at amusement parks and always get a free fast pass one time I wanted one of the plushies but I got a fast pass so I traded mine with a little kid and they were so happy!

For no delay, instead of a bunch of repeaters to get the red stone signal far enough, just have a command block put a red stone block up their. Instead of like 4 ticks or so, only 1.

I just thought of something SO **BIG BRAIN** that Sigils could've done but DIDN'T (bc my brain is --apparently-- bigger than his):
Sigils' could've modified his redstone machine to use SLIMES instead of a MINECART-CHEST!
Here's how he should've modified it:
Put a slime in the minecart and put (--sets of pistons--) (*dispensers with arrows/something that'd keep the rails in place) behind/on the track that'd (hopefully) break the minecart and drop the slime below (and to account 4 fall damage: _[then]_ put pistons below the track that briefly retract) before finally dropping the slime below!
(Also, the slime should probably take ocasional poison damage or something, not sure though).
(Also also, Sigils can figure out the rest of the small issues that might occur!)
