Spade Bit Storage Case That Most Don't Know About!!!

This is a terrific idea! I also have the Bosch 12-pack and keep the spade bits in the original packaging. It's in a drawer on top of some hardware. Not the most ideal solution. I did pick up a set of TiN Craftsman drills for $8 on sale, hard to resist, likely the same TiN drills as came in your set. They're not terrible. I work with metal and tried them out on various alloys, as well as mild steel. We're not taking high-end performance, a shocker I know, however chucked in a rigid and accurate machine they were better than expected.

I'm glad you like the idea. Yes, I literally bought the set just for the case. The multi material bits were gold oxide plated and not to bad. The driver bits were not good at all. Like you said though, a set this big for that price, I wasn't expecting the world. It's always nice to keep those cheap sets in the truck or something for when your in a pinch.

What is the model number of the Craftsman case you used and where did the extra bit holders come from?

I don't see any model numbers on the case. I just looked on amazon and I can't find the 85 piece or 60 piece sets that I had bought. I will post the link to a set I found on amazon that sells the 85 piece set with a tool set so that won't be what you buy, but you can at least see the set I bought. As for the extra bit holders, I've bought multiple Dewalt and Craftsman bit sets so I had extra from setting them up how I want them.

I got it on Amazon for $15 last year. I would keep checking Amazon and you will see them go on sale every now and then. The bigger 85 piece set goes on sale for around $22-25 sometimes on Amazon as well. Hard to say with the price increase on everything these days though if we will ever see those prices again.
