I have went through all games I played on steam in the past 16 years, and there's a lot of them. I was starting to think I'll not find one, because while there are games I tried that I didn't particularly like, they weren't by any objective measure "bad", and just name-dropping a decent game that just completely did not tickle my fancy unfair. I also didn't want to use any of the games I have like

im glad to see big titles like the jjk game or the star wars game. i feel like a lot of these "i play awful games" videos are filled with so many indie titles or older games. but theres a special kind of awful that come from games with a lot of money behind them
In my opinion, there's something interesting about each. I like covering both, but the big ones definitely have more appeal to more people.

south park snow day actually has mixed reviews im not sure why it's here.

Have Matt and Trey made an official statement on what they think of Snow Day yet? Like, they were so embarrassed of the N64 South Park games that they straight up skipped two console generations. I know this one isn't AS bad but it still hurts their reputation, especially after the last two games.

A better alternative to gun range vr would definitely be Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades which has very realistic guns for 20€

Decay of Logos breaks my heart, they used to have kickass plugins for Unity.
for future videos, could you maybe add a 'current review score at time of recording' sort of thing at the start of each clip? just seems strange that you're doing a 'worst reviewed' series without actually telling us what the reviews are

I'll have to check it out. I think the devs actually did a decent job, just not a great structure overall. But that could've been passed down from higher up.

I absolutely ADORED the blackout club too. Actual actors voicing the Gods, *mid game*, and talking with players. Changing the course of the story for everyone involved in a great in-game ARG.

@@cantonnierbethcepourlavhy6343 It's because of the audio, lol. If the game is made in Unreal, it's definitely audio. Unreal doesn't support anything other than WAV for the sound files, unless you add support for something sane such as OGG yourself. WAV gives huge files because it is uncompressed.
If the game contains any video assets, that's probably also part of the issue, because video compression in Unreal is terrible as well (though unlike with the audio, the compression at least exists here).
I mean, the esports one seems pretty realistic from the esports guys I know.
I'm still annoyed about the South Park game. I don't watch the show and don't really care to, but I played the 2 turn based games and they were really good. Only for them to just sh1t out this COOP one as a follow up
On one hand, I was super dissapointed we didn't get another turn based game, but on the other hand this game was cool in it's own way, just not fully baked at all. Basically just more live service nonsense.
This one really felt like a genuine shovelware, rather than a full-fledge south park experience.
Same here fam. After the last 2 great South Park RPG's, I was about ready to pick this one up as soon as I saw it. They definitely hit us with the okie doke switcheroo with this one.
Literally, those two games are amazing. They're not hard to get a hang of and the controls are really easy to understand, the story is amazing, its cool you can make your own character and it actually felt like an episode that would have been released. Then there's snow day.

The game was very much the labor of love of someone and 99% translated to English too. So weird and frustrating

The game that stands out the most to me like this is Cubeworld, such potential abandoned half finished if you want one to look at that's a great game unfinished that's definitely one to check out
ngl the decay of logos makes me quite sad cuz the visuals are actually really pretty and unique. I think it has a cool concept its just not well optimized. Id love to play a game where you are one of the few survivals of your village and you have to get a long with your pet companion in order to survive. Even the idea of stress is great, more you get to know the animal it get less stressed and you two could build a close relationship. That actually sounds great a RPG and even a dnd game but it would need bigger budget and overall better team etc

Hey son, this was my first video of yours that I saw. I was laughing so hard at the Dark Blood section. You were being so kind about a game that didn’t deserve any praise. Thanks for the laugh, I subscribed.
I feel disappointed about Fast Food simulator since with that concept, you can do soooo many different things like having a market study feature where you research restaurants around you/things the community currently likes, inflation (price of food goes up or down on given days), restaurant reviews, visits from the health department, etc.
My biggest issue with cursed clash is that there ia no offline 1 v 1 or even 2 v 2... i cant play ofline with my boyfriend who is sitting right next to me. We both love these silly little arena fighter games, and where so sad this one didnt have local multiplier
Not trying to be a dick, just some advice. Your mic is waaay too boomy and full of low end. If you're using EQ, don't boost the bass nearly as much. If you aren't using EQ, move your mic further from your mouth, the proximity effect is making it super boomy and hard to listen to on speakers. If I turn my monitors up enough to be able to understand you the bass will resonate through my entire apartment lol. Edit: Sounds much better after the intro lolol great video man

The South Park game really grinds my gears. The previous two games were far better than they had any right to be, and then they go ahead and release boring slop like this.
I remember being in the Alpha of Surgeon Simulator 2 and also as well when they announced it would be a Epic exclusive, As soon as I saw the portal esque type of gameplay and none of the goofy mechanics of the first one I immidietly stopped playing xD
Actually being the 'most refunded' game on Steam is a hard bar to reach with mess with The Day Before.

Dark Blood has such a specific 'made in Game Maker' energy, right down to the way the sprites blur and warp when animating because they were cropped poorly. Love that 2008 high school project energy.

What you didn't mention (or maybe didn't notice) is how ass the translation in V Gate is. Just look at those ores in the inventory. "Stell Ore" instead of steel ore (which doesn't even exist as steel is made from iron) and "Corrodium Ore" instead of corundum ore.

I’ve never watched or read anything about jujutsu kaisen, but it really looks like the IP holders had the rights to the models used in fortnite and figured that if they already had those, then they could probably make a game to get some more money from them
Good thing that I didn't fall for Surgeon Sim 2. Granted, that was mostly because of the Bossa cashgrab called Worlds Adrift that they dropped only after few short weeks, but still.
As for Surgeon Simulator 2, I want games to evolve and expand. When people want certain franchises to "go back to their root" all I hear is "we hate change".
What sucks about JJK is that the arena fighters can be something more. The ultimate ninja games are fantastic ways to experience naruto again,

on top of the points mentioned in this video, i think south park snow day is doing so awful because the games that came before it were so good. the fractured but whole and the stick of truth r genuinely amazing games. the rpg gameplay is incredibly fun, and the way the games look is awesome. like, one of the coolest parts of those first two games is that they look like actual footage from the tv show. its like ur in an actual episode. snow day takes both of these aspects and throws them out the window, getting rid of all the uniqueness that the first two games had. now snow day is just a generic looking shooter game. it feels like they were just trying to capitalize on the battle royale trend. its really unfortunate tbh

Part of the problem with the Battlefront Collection is that Battlefront 2 from 2005 is still available on Steam, and I think with a few mods is just as functional as it used to be

The quest is pretty nice, a lot of good upgrades, a lot of exclusive games. And the ability to be able to play un-tethered is pretty fun if you use it.
I totally agree with the battlefront part of this video. In all honesty and fairness that game was amazing when it came out.
Blood of Titans - card game. Started as very good game, P2W elements included from start but players was able to make best decks simply playing. And one year ago one big update change everything. Quality of game go downhill, making game completely P2W, not possible to make any progress as F2P player, and they changed half cards abilities to worse. Some cards that players buy for real money get completely changed to worse, some even unplayable! After that every update bring more P2W bs and bad stuff. Finally last updated bring some few good stuff.
The Persona 4 soundtrack, so good!!!

Interesting how you felt about South Park: Snow Day's story and humor, as every other review I've seen said they weren't really a fan of either. You seemed more positive on the game in general. Quite a subjective thing I suppose.
It's possibly because I went in with really low expectations. But I just generally didn't mind the overall design as much.

Surgeon Simulator 1 was so fun and iconic but I think 2 could still have worked alright if it was just given much more time to good with better direction.

Im definitely regret letting my love for the original Battlefront games get in the way of my critical thinking and cause me to buy the Classic Collection.
Minus the whole new Combat system and genre change, I feel like the story should've been longer and maybe not heavily rely on Kupa Keep and the Elves and maybe something like the kids playing as Vikings??? While I dont mind the retread on those familiar designs, it makes it feel more like a prequel to TOT than a whole new entry. Honestly a time loop idea could be fun

Great stuff as always, literally my only criticism is that your voice is A LOT louder than your chosen background music. I don't need the music to be loud at all, but I can literally not even make it out most of the time. A tiny push for the volume there would be great! Other than that, thank you for trawling through these games with an open mind.

It might be interesting to check out some long term live service games and what the new player experience is like, games like destiny 2 and warframe would be good candidates
South park was a huge disappointment and it's sad because nobody wanted 3D. They just wanted another Stick of Truth with some new comedy lines and new stuff to do.

the ö is technically more the vowels of say or bed (mexican spanish e) but you round your lips like oh or oo. It kind of sounds like the vowel in "word" to english speakers and it's how europeans and turks tend to pronounce the word vowel if they don't have it. and for the record ü is like ö but with the vowel in "see" instead of "say" or "said" in most languages that have it like German, Swedish, Turkish, or Finnish.
