- This home inspection video is an overview of what we look for during an home inspection at Inspect Canada and the common items that we find. Every home is different and depending on the age and type, we look and focus on different things. 778-683-7147 Inspect.ca
I'm currently in training to become a Home Inspector. This was a great intro video pulling together all that I'm learning. Thank you.
Thank you for the feedback Kim
@kim piercey
Hi Kim, how is the course? Do you find it challenging?
@@wildKrafter It's definitely not easy but not difficult. Depends which avenue you choose. I took the Carson Dunlop course which was online but BCIT has an in class course.
@@InspectCanada I also wanted to become a home inspector in Canada. How long does it usually take? I have prior experience with roofing, plumbing, HVAC, and electricals.
@@hashishsenju2015 Hi depends where you are located. About 1.5 year in BC and Alberta. Lot faster anywhere else.
Thank you for this!! I am studying now for the Home Inspector certification in BC.
You made a very comprehensive video for what is an overwhelming course load!
Wish me luck!! 🤦🏻♂️✍🏻
Well-done boss! Keep posting
Appreciate the feedback, thank you
Hey I saw your video on quieting downspouts but I wanted to know why you installed the elbow inside the downspout and not on the outside of the downspout in the proper flow direction?
Hi, I was just there too help and it was already setup like that. I didn't want to go buy new stuff. It worked fine.
Good presentation .Iam planing to study same course . How much getting hrly
This is not an hourly type job but per job. Google home inspector in your area and see how much they charge. Best of luck.
Hello and thank you so much for this useful content. I have a question about college courses of house inspection in Canada. How long does it take and how much does it cost? Is there an age limitation in these courses? Hope you the best.❤
Hi Saman, I took the Carson Dunlop course and I wold recommend it because it's online and at your own pace. I think someone fairly dedicated can probably do it in 6 months. If you do it in school, it will take a lot longer. Keep in mind, only BC and AB are regulated, if you are outside of those Province, it will be a lot faster. In BC, you have to take in the field training ours and then a final test. I think most do it in 1-2 years. There is no age limit but you have to be able to walk roof, get in attics and go in crawlspace so not the best for out of shape people. Best of luck.
@@InspectCanada hi does carson dunlop online course provide any in class practicals as well or its everything online ??
