Hey, just FYI, it's pronounced MOY-te (oy as in oyster, te as in tech) - German for a mob. Also, this is in Germany, probably Hamburg, where they are from.
Re: all musicians playing percussion. When I was at MI there was a guitar teacher who once showed a small group of us an exercise I never forgot..... I challenge folks to try it: play quarter notes with your foot on the floor. Now add 8th note triplets with one hand on your thigh or a table. Now keep that going and add 1/4 note triplets with your other hand. This will change your life rhythmically!
Dude, I love these guys. They were in South Africa, where I'm from, not so long ago, but I missed them. Huge bummer. And I love your channel, man. The gamut of music that is covered on this channel is amazing. I'm going to be studying Music next year and this channel has definitely played in role in my decision making. You sir, Mr. Palmisano, are an amazing human being. And an absolutely stellar guitar teacher and musician. It'd be a dream to be your student. PLEASE keep doing what you're doing.
@@Guitargate hey i saw that you reacted to john butler a few months ago. That vid is alright, but this is better. czcams.com/video/7gphiFVVtUI/video.html its a street performance. I think its in Spain. The guy is pretty fast on his strings. He even has some incense. He's got the whole package. oh yeah the vid has over 81 million views. idk if you have seen it off camera or whatever. Thx.
Was brought to your channel, and holy crap you actually taught me something! Never thought of having singers play drums to improve their compositions and singing.
Well, I'm not only feeling bullet proof...I'm feeling 10 foot tall and bulletproof..especially when you came in at 7:04 and 12:03 and got you a piece of it!! If I keep listening to them, I'll probably just become invincible!! Thx for another great one!
Its all about the rhythm. Its programmed into our bodies since the stone age. Thats why i love techno it gets right into the bones and you cant stand still.
I just discovered you from the Colter Wall and Tyler Childers videos. I've played myself for a decade or so but have drifted away in recent years due to life. You have definitely lit a fire under me to get back on it. If you don't know about one of the most deep-cutting tunes out there, i highly suggest you listen to Whiskey Myers - "Broken Window Serenade" this song cuts deep and is beautiful all around. I would love to hear your reaction and breakdown of this song
Would love to see you watch Keaton Simmons- Master piece / I've got a woman / the way you make me feel!. Absolutely killer track so much to dissect. Love what you're dojng and enjoy learning from your videos!
You must be east coast I love your funk fresh sound ... I love what you said a disgustingly dirty drums Lol meaning in a wicked good way Lol I love it 💚💜💚😊✌
Commented on your last video too- you gotta check out kat hasty she’s incredible. All 5 of her songs are great and worth checking out but pretty things, highway song, where the wildflowers lay are on another level. I was blown away when I heard her
Michael, when will you react to some Prince again? There's this 16 minute version of Purple Rain now on his channel, live at Syracuse, 8 of those 16 minutes are guitar solos. That man goes from blues to rock to damn near close to metal shredding in one song. It's one of the craziest pieces of music I have ever heard in my life, guitar aside. Please check it. There are more "reactions" to it so I doubt it will be blocked.
probably figured all this out already, but in case you did not: they're a techno marching band from hamburg, germany, and so, "meute" is german and means gang or mob or pack. it's not pronounced "mute" but something like.. maybe.. "moy-tir"? written german eu is "oy" and the last e of words often disappears into a half silent "tuh" or "tir".
Yea it’s the quarter note triplet feel that New Orleans got from the South African slave ships (I am South African) --my wife is from NOLA and when we met we were blown away how familiar the music we grew up with is!
actually they are german and the video was shot in roma italy. New orleans has nothing to do with that. Meute is a popular band in europe, they remix house and techno classics
Hi Michael, would you consider making a reaction video to a Keith Jarrett video. There's a breathtaking video of his trio playing "Georgia on my mind" in Poland.
Hey dude...im a big fan of your music breakdowns and explanations....kinda motivated me(hobby guitarist) to learn more theory....i wanted to suggest a song you could react to..zece-florin chilian...its a beautiful song i waa hoping you could pinpoint the chords for me...much love
Hey Michael. Big fan of the channel, love how you break down music from a more technical point of view. Even as a drummer i better understand how a guitar player thinks because of your videos. Would love to see you break down this live video from the band Khruangbin. Maybe you've already heard of them, but if not im sure you'll appreciate the layers this band has despite only being a 3 piece. Heres the link to the video, czcams.com/video/m0CB1q8CKoU/video.html
I just watched this because I love Meute...they are German., your video is solid, but it made me think of the Chappelle sketch about white people and guitars. If you liked this video you NEED to watch a Canadian band that is creative as hell czcams.com/video/hRXv_VU35Lw/video.html
Hey you should react to some old John Martyn live stuff, i recommend this czcams.com/video/O8Blccc0PM0/video.html It's him playing Solid Air in germany back in 78, or this one which is a song called Seven Back Roses from the same gig czcams.com/video/c80pa9lCFjQ/video.html
As a marching band geek/fan and an EDM lover, I've been a Meute fan for a long time. The talent is just amazing and their energy is so infectious.
They are so underrated. I heard their stuff for the first time in 2018, been addicted ever since.
You should check out their live street performance of “You and Me”
My personal fav from them
@@sanjayproductions5690 Same!

I believe you are correct
It's in Rome, actually. Piazza Trilussa. Awesome band!
The band uploaded the video and they clearly say they are in Rome.
Same word in french, different way to say it, its like a pack a wolf pack is a meute
In the original video they state that it was recorded in Rome.

You should react to Mitch King's "coming back" or "southerly change" the guy is a beast

I’m away from home. I’ll be back in my studio in December.
German band
Looking for good cheap American made pickups. Vat tax and 3 month waiting defeats the purpose
I’ll say Savannah.
Rome, Italy.
George Clinton influence?
