As an MBBS student myself, the only thoughts i have on the decision to teach mbbs in hindi is that the home ministry is trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist. Language has never been a barrier while MBBS is being taught cause our professors use both English and Regional languages to teach the subjects.

Why don’t they introduce English medium in every Govt schools in rural areas.
Many issues with MBBS syllabus in Hindi
1- translation often changes the context of the topic explained
2- reference textbooks are used in clinical subjects. These are often American publications.
3- if you want to migrate or take foreign qualifications for higher degree, this may be an issue
This is clearly not thought thru , especially for students.

Major disadvantage of doing MBBS in Hindi is to restrict a doctor to a particular region.if that happens then how a doctor will make it's country name worldwide.
But then to counter that, not every Indian doctor wants to go outside of India to work right? Agreed that entire course in Hindi would be very hard, understanding concepts will be hard in Hindi and not everyone knows Hindi, there are some ups and downs with this but as long as it doesn't become mandatory for people to study in regional languages it's okay, moreover many people go outside India to study so it really depends upon personal choice at the moment

@@siddaly2446 Yes, I hope it's not mandatory to study in Hindi, anyways it is really hard to get a seat in medical college within India.
@@Pavann think about it this way., Hindi is just one of the many official and unofficial languages. This move is solely being done so it helps those kids who are not from English medium schools., but then the other side of it is that other states also if they start teaching only in local languages, like Tamil version., Kannada or Malayalam, Telugu version, one for the Bengali, Assamese, Manipuri (Meiti), Punjabi's toh pukka would want theirs over hindi. All in all it would be just another language khichdi, and this is just another language politics., the intend is clear, it has nothing to do education but appeasement to one lingual people and enforcement of a non-native language on others
Hindi ko option ki tarah introduce kiya ja raha hai tho jo log english ma nahi pad sakta bi tho baisa bhi doctor nahi ban pata kam sa kam abb doctor tho ban sakta hai bhala he area restricted ho

I'm a doctor and all standard books of medicine come in English. So it's not possible to translate all those books to hindi. So l think it's a bad move.
And there is every possibility that few terminologies or concepts cannot be precisely translated and may lead to wrong interpretation.
What about hinglish? .
Because we can convert terminology.
But we can make explanation in hindi
Wht abt chinese japanese and russians who learn medicine in their own language

As a doctor of a teaching hospital I would like to add that almost all the standard textbooks of most subjects are in English as they are either from the U.K or the U.S. Even the books required for the postgraduate entrance preparation are mostly not from India.

I am a final year MBBS student.. Most of standard books in our curriculum are by foreign authors..i think it will hard for the students of Hindi batch to understand the syllabus the way we did as most of the terminology are in English and to write those in Hindi will be a burden somehow

As a doctor MBBS terminology is mainly based on English but Hindi is very important for india 🇮🇳 like China 🇨🇳 all doctors study mainly in mandarin....China MBBS book 📖 written in there on language...I fully support this move 👏
