Every meow is different for everything, i find that : -squeek meows almost kitten like signify need of AFFECTION -a thrill of meows almost bird like is used as a call, means WHERE ARE YOU? also I’M COMING! -if cat looks outside window and sees birds would do a chittering sound almost like mice that signify EXCITEMENT and also FRUSTRATION as it can’t catch the bird and at times i feel that sound is to lure the bird in. -long meows is HUNGRY -Yowling meow is when cat is in DISTRESS or S.O.S. call. -hissing is a warning as in LEAVE ME ALONE, is followed by growling but depends on the cats temper. -growling means ANGRY usually when you introduce another cat, or if you STRESS the cat, and is followed by VIOLENT attacks. -no meows, no attention from cat means cat is DEPRESSED or upset, it can happen if owner leaves for a couple of days. For YES is blinking for NO is starring, Long stare is OFFENSIVE. Big BIG EYES with dilated pupil often occur if cat wants to play usually if is very interested in a toy, or hunting, or for offensive stare or attacks. If a cat HEAD BUMPs you means brotherhood, family, one of theirs, and that is most important, although some cats don’t do it at all. Cat belly up is TRUST especially if you can touch it without scratches or bites. GREETING is when cat rubs on your leg, usually when you get home but also when you feed favourite food like tuna in Kenji case which then means GRATITUDE. Ultimately to be LOVED by a cat is when wherever you go around the house ,the cat will find you,follow and choose to spend their time with you without you calling them. I'm watching this on the one year anniversary of my tux's death due to cancer. This little cat is tugging my heartstrings. I miss my Socks so very much but I can enjoy watching this little guy who looks so much like him.
