Band In A Box is the best software to make your own personalized backing tracks and use your DAW to edit as you wish.

Ok, so I’ve watched several of your videos, and I’m interested in learning from them.
You mention playing gigs and posting some video. Where? I want to see some examples where you put these tips into play.

When you play with stems are you using your Daw to run that? I'm sure that's not it, but how do you actually play the stems? Thanks so much!

I'm playing backing tracks in Ableton Live on my laptop. It's also sending patch changes to my HX Stomp guitar pedal, to MainStage on my computer, and to my Yamaha keyboard. AND it's sending lighting changes to my DMX lights! Basically I automate as much as I can, so I can focus on singing and playing.

Do you know how artists like Ann-Margret performed to tracks (ex: czcams.com/video/X_Vjp-Nl-uU/video.html)? There were musicians in an orchestra pit many times I'm sure but I've heard people talk about backing tracks back then as well

It's an interesting topic. I haven't dug into it deeply, but pits were certainly a thing - still are, in places like Broadway. But Elvis, at the end of his career, was definitely singing to a tape recording. That would have been the 70s.

    What is a DAW?

Digital Audio Workstation. Popular DAWs include Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic Pro, Garage Band, Studio One, Reaper, and Ableton Live. It's the software that lets you record different tracks and then mix them together. Most DAWs come with a good selection of drum machines and samples, synthesizers, and plugins to make stuff sound good.
