I was burning paper with a candle and stick of incense. the incense gave me smaller holes and more control of the burn patters. Someone may want to try this on fabric. I know I am going to.

If I let my fabric soak in natural dye like tea for instance, would the burning effect on the corners eventually go away or will it stay?

It might rub away if you would like to dip dye/soak the fabric I think it would be best to do before burning, so...
      Cut the pieces of fabric,
      Then dye with the tea,
      Allow to dry,
      Burn the edges,
      Then sew the pieces together,
      Hope this helps 😊
