Hey guys! I wanted to clarify the part when I said "Ship your work vehicle". That wasn't referring to a diesel truck! I was referring to pickup trucks. As I reviewed the video I realized maybe that part would be confusing...

I brought my own tools to Rwanda as well. Good quality tools are hard to find and are usually expensive to purchase.
I saw in a video where mechanics didn't have modern equipment to remove transmissions and engines. So, that seems like an excellent business. The tow ing service seems great. You have given some excellent ideas

Yes foreigners can drive if u have any country drivers license u can drive that’s not illegal in Gambia 🇬🇲 u have to ask who really knows their they gonna told what to do

Asalaamualaikum sr. Jazak Allahu Khair for the information and entertaining stock photos throughout the video 😂. The photos of the auto shops are basically the exact opposite of what you find in the Gambia, most of the time they are working underneath a tree. I also wanted to add anyone who is thinking about working in the Gambia expect to go through a lot of headaches because the police and whole system is rather laughable at times. They are always gonna be stopping you at ridiculous checkpoints and asking intrusive questions. But I guess that's probably how most "authority" police type are in most of the world. But yeah Africa is gonna give you a particularly strong head ache at times that's another reason why life expectancy is so low because of all the stress people deal with 😂. Anyway as from that rant I definitely encourage moving back to the Motherland and I also highly encourage getting land out in the country side even though there are less amenities and opportunities than in Kombo, the peace and tranquility of life in the bush is hands down my favorite thing about the Gambia. I mean I show real life Gambia in my videos all the time people can use their imaginations lol. What you're saying about check points is true. That's why it's important for people to know the rules/regulations about foreigners driving etc. For me, the check points are one of the things that bother me the most. I’d even suggest to invest in a space for a mini mall and rent out store spaces. Also, an entertainment center or space would be beneficial as well! Think big! What seems near impossible to do in the states can be done there for a fraction of the cost.
This is very true! These things can be hard to invision for those who haven't visited Gambia yet.
As salaamu alaykum, Alhamdulillah I have been waiting. Thank you. As far as importing, food stuff, tools and cars how is the import duties/fees etc. Credit cards = debt and we know what debt does. Not everyone uses it the same way but that's slippery slope. Imported food products, yeah I know we used to certain foods but why not try to do a business to replace those items. And we know the state of American food, chemicals, dyes and what have you. How about making the local peanut butter more like American peanut butter but without all those chemicals? Something like that with other products also, which can also create jobs also. Just some thoughts sis, Can't wait until the next video. So many good ideas.
Walaykumsalam sis! We don't want any imported foods from America, we want them shipped from the UK😂. They have the same brands, but with different ingredients and they taste way better. Most of the imported foods here don't usually come from the US. They come from London, Brazil, Turkey, Germany, Sweden, India etc. Noone else's food is as horrible as the products in America. Homemade products are a lot healthier (peanutbutters etc), but they more than likely won't sell as quickly as brand items people are out looking for (that's the only reason I didn't mention it). There are so many options for healthier alternatives here, but foreigners are spending a lot of money on what we're used to. I agree with you about better choices. Was just mainly focusing on things that would be almost guaranteed to sell fast. I love local peanutbutter, but only to cook with (not for a sandwich lol).

Hi Sr. Amina I was also thinking that about the peanut butter have you tried mixing local peanut butter with oil and sugar that's basically all they put in name brand stuff.

Assalamoalaykum Sis, do you have any advice or advisor's for women who want to travel alone or alone with their children to The Gambia?
Walaykumsalam warahmatullah, I can't think of anything specific. I'm in Gambia for several months at a time without my husband. I have 9 children here with me (7 young children). He's working in the states a lot of the time, and I haven't had any problems being here with my children while he's traveling. Gambia is waaaaay safer than being in the states and being here as a single mom wouldn't be nearly as stressful as being in the states with children (in my opinion). Would you happen to know how far or close Jambang province/city is to you? They have property there and a masjid they are rebuilding that my husband and I are interested in.
I also loved what you said about the money factor. That tells me they are not on the road to full digitalization at this point Alhamdulillah. Even though I mostly use my card here it’s still refreshing to know cash is still circulating.
Walaykumsalam sis! I've visited Jabang recently. Is it Jabang or Jambanjelly you're referring to? I would take much precaution purchasing from afar (if it's possible to come see the land and documentations in person prior to that then I would do so). Jabang is roughly 20 minutes away from me. My understanding is that it is Jambang and yes we will definitely come first and get to know the person via consultation before we go and/or make any commitment insha Allah.
