NINE LIVES MOVIE REVIEW - Double Toasted Highlight

- NINE LIVES MOVIE REVIEW - If you haven't heard of the new 9 Lives movie starring Kevin Spacey as he plays a walking, talking cat, then you can consider yourself lucky for being that far away from this God awful film. Spacey plays a business man who ends up being turned into a cat by Christopher Walken, who plays someone very similar to his character in the Adam Sandler movie "Click," and honestly, this isn't very different then some Sandler comedies. With that said, the Double Toasted podcast bring the comedy in this review, while quite possibly hoping they were watching a movie about Grumpy Cat. For more funny videos, movie reviews, and official movie trailers straight out of 2016 and even 2017, video game playthroughs and live streaming, go ahead and head to Doubletoasted.com!

In hindsight...Korey was actually *_RIGHT_* about someone having dirt on Kevin Spacey. That's hysterical lmao
After the recent allegations against Kevin Spacey, his appearance in this movie is starting to make too much sense.
Just thinking the same thing.
omg I basically came back to this review to say the exact same thing...
We have the same last name! Brother!
The concept of a guy turning into in an Animal to learn a lesson reminds me of Brother Bear(2003).
Spacey: Look Barry, I'm a professional actor. Why the hell would I EVER agree to this?
Sonnenfeld: Y'know I was talking with Anthony Rapp not to long ago-
Spacey: So when do we start shooting?
TELMEman That explains Spacey, but what about the rest of the cast.
When your movie looks like one of the fake trailers in front of Tropic Thunder, you're gonna have a bad time.
😂😂😂
aye,man I'm still waiting for "The Fatties"
Oof
@@mnoell35 Just watch, "The Nutty Professor" lmao. That's what it's based off of. It has Eddie Murphy playing his whole family as fat people. But in my opinion, it's one of my favorite comedies.
You've got to be kitten me, you actually saw this Cat-astrophe
*Harlem Shakes away*
Yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaah!!!
GOD FUCKIN DAMMIT JORDAN
+Sam Raffield Alright, Off with your head.
+Sam Raffield Ahhhrrrrgggg!!! That's it you just lost your bathroom privileges *Chop*
XDXDXD
the way gertz looked at the camera at 4:47 when korey took that second swig was hilarious
I wish Brad Pitt made a cameo in this movie, so there'd be a scene where he yells at the Kevin Spacey cat "WHAT'S IN THE LITTERBOX?!? WHAT'S IN THE FUCKING LITTERBOX?!?"
Lmfao, that would've made it a full price.
my shit, man

This reminds me of Brother Bear(2003)mainly the concept of a jerk-ish guy turning into an Animal to learn a lesson.
considering recent events, this movie makes perfect sense
It makes “purr”fict sense.
dirt on Kevin spacey:CONFIRMED
That clip from the end of the trailer where the cat is doing chin ups isn't even in the movie. He is hanging there and drops down; they literally rewound it a few times to make it look like he was doing pull ups, I could not make this up [exhales] jfc this movie...
HAHA, awesome:P
I noticed that as well in that clip. I'm surprised no one in the review even noticed that themselves.
OMG I just noticed that lol
Remember when those movie would have been normal back in the 80's and 90's
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
Shit, early and mid 00's as well. Horrible ass movies. I'm glad they're dying and getting ridiculed now.
Now for the chipmunks movies to die.
Sad but true
@@Robert-vi9fx mostly worst
They should put Girts on more reviews
22:11 ROFL at Martin's face when they told him A Talking Cat!?! is on Netflix.
It’s sort of like Brother Bear(2003)with Cats although it wasn’t about a rich-man who needs to pay someone.
Korey needs to have that Caucasian boy with the sonic shirt he's actually funny and his comedic timing is on point
I love that he just had to bring alcohol into the picture after watching this movie.
I just realized nearly 4 years later, now we know what somebody had over Kevin spacey that got him in this movie. Lol.
"SOMETHING IS BEHIND THIS!" Welp, got it in one.
So you guys are also gonna review the Nine Lives Ultimate Edition to see if the added content makes the movie better, right?
This movie makes a lot more sense in hindsight.
The DT crew are at their best when reviewing these bad movies. Btw, Girts would be a great addition to the movie reviews.
The concept of a jerk-ish type of guy being an Animal is a lesson we’ve seen in Movies and one of them is my favorite childhood movie Brother Bear(2003).
Seriously, DT DVD Commentary: Nine Lives
This review is funnier than the movie itself.
Still waiting on that documentary
Never gonna get it! Until he passes away at least. The same with woody Allen
You should have Grits review more movies with you guys! He has great chemistry with everyone and adds a white boy type of social awkwardness the movie review show could use.
We know that Barry Sonnefield had dirt on Spacey. Maybe he had dirt on EVERYBODY else.
Korey that is the worst Christopher Walken impersonation I have ever heard
Oh my god the scene in the trailer when the girl is using that Tom cat whatever app killed me.
Damn Korey drank that whisky or whatever it was for nearly 10 seconds straight. Must be a bad movie if it requires that much alcohol
I watch this at least twice a week after a hard days of work, love this segment lol
This has to be one of my favorite reviews they've done. Fucking classic
Soon as I saw the trailer, I knew it was written by a child.
Director: youre my bitch you sick fuck!
Spacey: jesus christ, ill do anything please!
Director: lol do this movie.
Spacey: *does it*
Director: omg you did it ha ha! *releases info anyway.*
so in the end credits to nine lives is there a line that says "cat noises guy"
The cat reminds me of Bill Murphy's Garfield.
And by that, I mean horrible cgi
+Al Jax it's worse. Somehow.
more like they didn't have Garfield money and settled for this. When Korey and Andre say the movie looks like it was shot cheaply, I believe them.
Who blackmailed Kevin Spacey to agree to doing this?
🤫 🤐
I want them to make a sequel to Nine Lives with Daniel Day-Lewis and Marlon Wayans just to see Korey's sanity and will to live slowly drift away :)
😆 his brain would explode
Coming back to this review some time removed from the Spacey allegations and I really wonder if this movie only happened cuz somebody knew about the shit that Kevin Spacey was doing but instead of reporting him to the authorities they forced him to be in this movie
Then told the authorities anyway
I love that you guys have been uploading alot more lately 👍 definitely can't get enough of your content.
Martin was thinking about the Adam Sandler movie, 'Click' which had a similar premise. Coincidentally, Christopher Walken was in THAT movie as well
Damn, that's a whole lot of drinking and suffering lol!!
Martin's reactions are fucking great in this.
I thought Call of Spacey was his lowest point... and he managed to one up that. lol
Holy shit, their best video of the year
This movie is probably a piece of shit, but it makes so happy to see the guys had such a good time :)
12:57 to 13:10, That Shaggy Dog remake also had Robert Downey, Jr. as the bad guy.
Who here has seen Cats and Dogs with Tobey Maguire?
I did (sadly)
Cats and Dogs is Casablanca compared to this
Cats and Dogs is at least watchable, and even manage to be good if you take in count that it was directed by the same director from that abomination Son Of The Mask
Don't forget Barry Sonnenfeld was Director of Photography on a lot of the early Coen brothers films.
i saw the trailer for this and i thought "why....does....this....EXIST????!!!!"
Still got 1 more year for that documentary... 😂
I miss gurtz and goodwin
I wonder if the entire box office haul of this film will be people watching it ironically?
Kevin Spacey is a cat! rated pg13
AND HE'S ABOUT TO FIND OUT
THAT BEING A CAT
IS NOT EASY
Kevin spacey is a stapler! Rated PG-13.
Kevin Spacey's about to find out that bein a cat AINT ALL THAT!
Kevin Spacey is a Cat!
Rated PG-13
Josh Baker Josh Baker best one
Lmaaooo
17:02 I am that guy who likes Heavyweights.
I am so glad I'm not the only Double Toasted fan to have the thoughts you guys did below.
You guys never fail to make me laugh out loud.
I remember this horrible movie called, "A Talking Cat!?!". It's terrible, even the sound design is fucking pitiful. This is kinda like that, but with an actual budget
Nostalgia critic
issac flores No, Jontron
They mention that at the end of this
Exactly what I was thinking!! XD
Gertz needs to part of the regular crew. Love you bru bru.
Spacey touched the wrong kid
So, it's "Click" but with a cat instead of a TV remote starring Kevin Spacey?
Shit, I'm sold.
Oh shit ya'll actually got the white guy to be part of a movie review!!!!!!
He's moving up!!!
I feel like this movie was made 10-15 years ago and only just came out.
My childhood was filled with these "Human has a normal life until some wacky thing happens" films.
The fact that this review isn't just 20 minutes of shots of everyone staring into the camera in exasperated silence is a surprise to me.
Actually, Eric Roberts did indeed voice the cat through voicemail.
4:55 was goodwin refering to drunk orson wells and not george orwell?
Am I the only one who's excited for when they finally review Sausage Party? Because that movie looks like it's gonna be a hell of trip and half. Like watching a twisted lovechild of Fritz the Cat and Toy Story based on food and perishable items.
They should make a movie with the same plot but with a dog... Oh wait. The Shaggy Dog still exists
You forgot about Chevy Chase in "oh heavenly dog" with Benji the dog.
Or Sean Connery
I Saw The Commercial For This On Discovery Family Back In June. I'm Still Struggling To Believe This Movie Exists!
Please review Food Fight, DT. Look it up guys
Now, now... you shouldn't murder them.
lol at Martin saying he took a washed up actor's roll
Walken's character in Click was basically the angel of death. Watch The Prophecy trilogy and you'll see similarities between Morty and Archangel Gabriel. Although Walken is already supernatural.
"I thought this was a great movie. I was actually scared to spend money on this because of all of the bad reviews, but I loved it. It had a great meaning, and it's great for all ages. People are so judgmental. Hey, genius, you try to make a perfect movie! ?? You win some and you lose some, and I'm glad I picked this over suicide squad." From Genevieve...
Real review frkm Rotten Tomatoes. Picked this over Suicide Squad WTF lol
That review was about as bad as the one guy who gave Movie 43 a 3/5.
Kinda reminds that one critic that gave Dragonball Evolution a 4/5? He also completely thrashes Warcraft and gave Independence Day Resurgence a fresh review. Some critics are just bad at their job.
+Francisco Navarro And THIS why audiences don't take critics seriously anymore.
Here's this:www.google.com/amp/s/dailydot.relaymedia.com/amp/unclick/suicide-squad-rotten-tomatoes-nine-lives/
kaneiah williams wow just wow lol
+kaneiah williams Could say the same with Transformers movies. That franchise is the reason why people shouldn't take audiences seriously.
They did NOT just say this is more fun to watch than Suicide Squad.... I REFUSE to believe that the phrase "this was more fun to watch than Suicide Squad."
And Korey G did NOT give this a rental... Did he?????
...
That means I HAVE to watch it now.
So Korey, how does the rate against the Oogieloves?
korey took a huge swig to review this movie
i know from the get-go its already terrible.
Is it my phone or is something wrong with this video audio not matching the actual video
I thought this was an edgy reboot of the Tim Allen movie where Tim became a dog.
But to make this reboot hip with the kids, they made all the Ghostbusters wo-
I mean, the animal is a cat.
That was a fantastic review! This oddly made me want to see this film. Gotta remember to pre-game...
This movie feels like it should of come out in 2006 n have voice over guy
oh shit its the ppl from spill?! i wondered what happened to them
DC is obviously paying these guys to thrash cat movies.
What? You guys never heard of The Dog Company?
does anyone know how the fans get to go to the studio?
If you're in the area all you have to do is email Korey(end of the video). They're really nice about letting people in as long as you let him know ahead of time.
Taimar Tookhi that's great! I thought you'd have to be a paying subscriber or something
saw this from start to finish and died from excessive laughing
It's probably obviously been stated before, but the girl who's playing the daughter, also played Violet in Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events.
he mistook Tom hanks for Tom cruise
Brendan Fraser can't feed his family tonight because Kevin Spacey took this role over him.
So... this was Oogelove level nasty?
And now... Rob Schneider is a stapler!
I thought this was click 2.0 tbh
I wonder if this movie will be like Beethoven, and sell like crazy when it goes to hime movie
That CGI they used for the cat looks like the same CG they used in either Scooby Doo or that Chihuahua movie Disney made back in 2008.
Was that a grown up Johnny Whitaker (Sigmond and the Sea Monster, Family Affair) in that final Netflix cat movie clip?
I love that MJ shirt that guy was wearing
Love the review! Let Girts do more reviews!
Korey vs Mike from RLM for drinking while movie reviewing
Someone get Korey some Dan Akroyd smooth vodka!!!!
Damn look at 2016 korey haha
Bruh, Walken's character is literally Morty from Adam Sandler's film Click. I guess he's out teaching other people about family values again.
(Read the description after this comment)
Edit: (And then I watched the rest of the video :P)
The only reason this movie interested me was because of the Lexus LFA
I noticed that the cat was realistically rendered but was animated in a cartoony style, which made it seem out of place.
gotta love Girts lol
sn: I can't believe Goodwin gave this a rental!
