뜬금없긴한데.. 언젠지 정확히 기억은 안나지만 예전에 '호랑이 담배피던 시절'이 뭘 말하는 지에 대해 나온 적이 있었는데요. 그 말의 유래를 알게돼서 적어봐요!
조선에 담배가 처음 들어오고 네다섯 살 애들도 다 필 정도로 다들 담배를 좋아했었는데 중독도 많이 되고, 또 담배가 고부가가치 상품이라 농사를 지을 수 있는 땅에 곡식 대신 담배를 심었대요. 애들도 어른 앞에서 맞담배피는 등 예의 문제도 있어서 나라에서 여자나 아이는 담배를 못피게 한다거나 장죽대 길이 제한을 한다거나 했대요. 담배에 대한 규율같은게 많아지니까, 그 시대 사람들이 얘기를 할 때 "호랑이같은 짐승도 담배를 필 수 있던 시절에~", "옛날에~" (담배피는것에 아무 제한이 없던 시절에~) 이런 뜻으로 과거를 회상하며 사용했던 말일 거라고 하네요! 오늘 교수님께서 말씀해주셨는데 이 채널이 생각나서 와봤어요! 항상 잘 챙겨보구 있습니다 :)
