I've been saying, I'll be Bach, you be beethoven" since the late 80s, I loved the ahnolt mooveez especially the running man which I watched over and over after taping it from an HBO or showtime free period, we just had basic cable but they would frequently have a few days of free movies in attempt to get more people to subscribe. It was the source of the bulk of my early movie collection

So they got Survivor to write a song instead, and because they had already used the Queen song, they needed a song with the exact same tempo to replace it.
