That one scene from Shamylans Last Airbender was never framed correctly and as a result looks like its taking a group of earth benders to move a small stone. At the very end the lone earthbender at the bottom of the screen is responsible for that stone as he sends it "rocketing" towards the firebenders. The group of dancing earth benders was supposed to be responsible for the earth shaking which amusingly wasn't added visually
That scene was so inaccurate to the source material. Earth benders are surrounded by Earth. The fire benders in the movie couldn’t bend fire without a camp fire. Seriously, Earth Benders could open up the freakin earth and swallow the fire benders!

The "Nobody has an eye like this" line is hilarious. There is a condition called heterochromia iridum that causes people to have 2 different colored eyes (or one eye with two colors) and it effects about 1:100,000 people, meaning that there are about 70,000 people with it.
I cried tears of joy when I heard tekknoman was going to be on the review block. My all time favorite anime series when i was young. That and I had to wait a decade to watch the entire series after the first season died through the power of torrents. THANKS ALOT UPN!!!
The Landlock OVA was supposed to be promotional material for a canceled (I assume it's canceled) SEGA game by the same name for the Saturn. I think that alone says it all. This probably has to be the rarest (or one of the rarest) anime you've reviewed on this show, Sage. Or at least one of the most obscure. Definite fit for the title of "abandoned".

Couldn't that shrine in the middle of nowhere be explained with the 'spirits' or whatever powers that air-bending having guided them there? Then again, divine freaking intervention isn't exactly a much more satisfying explanation.

Upon looking at the cast, I found one of them was Sarah LaFluer (who played Ansa). Assuming this isn't someone else using a pseudonym, the link about her on ANN says that she played Sailor Uranus (the Cloverway one seeing as Viz is redubbing). Of course, I am not 100% certain if it's the same woman but food for thought. That said, by GOD Landlock has some terrible acting. Btw, seeing as Tatsunoko worked on Irresponsible Captain Tylor, is there going to be an episode on that?

It's a brick joke to a prior episode where Suave implied he was a 'soccer fan' in a reference to the creepy expression 'if there's grass on the field, play ball.' a joking reference to the idea that if someone has pubic hair it's ok to have sex with them.
He got defeated because he maxed out his luck... Or he had too much bad karma... I think taking one persons eye is enough bad karma for you to loose your balance and fall backwards for no reason and breaking your neck but before hitting the ground while your feet are in the air( you were developing diarrhea for a day but were too constipated or malfunctioning to able to poop) you get get diarrhoea and all the shit flys towards your face... Ofc the breaking your neck will not kill you just paralyse you in that position where your head is on the ground... Butt in the air and feet in some random positions but balanced so that you stay that way while having diarrhoea uncontrollably and it's in your face so you drowning in that shit... But for some reason yours lungs have been peirced by something as you were falling at the right spot so you managed to get enough oxygen not to die or drown at least but still in that position for many days before finally dying of hunger or infection . This is what I would wish for some one that by choice and intentionally poked my eye out and imagine bad karma or some curses would do... Let alone someone that took the eyes of two individuals. Very dark but also would be hilarious yet disgusting to watch (partially inspired by the hills have eyes and death note among other stuff like final destination, bible black... Etc

Best i can gather is that its a pedophile joke, or a reference to something that happened in the history of soccer.

The story and dialogue are written like a Tales game: vapid, vacuous, inane... amateurish.
