Handy Dandy No. 9 Steam Train Engine Ride - Legacy Video

Here's a ride right inside the Handy Dandy Steam Train Engine ! See it from being fired up with coal shoveled into the boiler to the complete ride around the Denton Farm Park back to the station. Watch from right in the Steam Engine and Boiler with the Fireman shoveling coal into the moving engine and see the engineer as he works the whistle and controls the latches and brakes that operate the 110 Ton Steam Machine as it makes it's journey, working it's way around the track..
Watch the engine as it works it's way up the hill to the station huffing and not even any smoke is coming out of the stack. IT's running on the giant head of steam that's built up in the boiler !! All that white you see coming out of the stack is the Steam from the cylinders that's taking the train up the grade into the station. That's the efficiency of STEAM !!
As the train rolls into the station, all the people waiting to board are standing erect and in awe watching the giant gleaming engine huffing and rolling past them....
This is the train that hauled lumber from the mills in the high country and mountains to the cities over 100 years ago for building the structures in the big cities in north and south carolina...
