He was a real talent. You can see why he was regarded as "the ventriloquist`s ventriloquist". Thanks so much for posting.

Never since has there been a talent of this magnitude skill unsurpassed how rare was it to be entertained by a master who even today would be a class act not only brilliant but funny. An unassuming understated artist that would wipe the floor with the common place mediocrity of today’s

Once upon a time there were great entertainers and the wonderful Arthur Worsley is proof of it. Thank you.

Your comment is so true , as an ex member of the fortunes ( Here it comes again, mentioned by Arthur in this monologue ) I can witness the fact that the acts in my era ( 70s /80 s) were pure entertainment. The fortunes were a comedy show band in those days along with the Grumbleweeds and the Rockin Berries to name a few. Most big towns had night clubs where regular experiences of top comedy stars performed . Tommy cooper was a massive star in those days and he had the audience in stitches 10 minutes before he even came out on stage using the microphone in the wings. All this laughter and merrymaking with no blue material too. I loved those days , and the audiences .
