When our hot topic in town was still open this is how I imagined my family trying to buy Christmas presents for me lol. Instead the only crazy that caused me problems was when my mom and I were there browsing around and some other shopper came up and started touching us, mainly me, talking about being a prophet, praying to God, healing my depression, a whole thing. K, true story. I took a girl out clubbing one night years ago (a friend's daughter) who was from a small town and had never been to a bigger city. She happened to have actual vampire teeth, which she didn't entirely like... they were canines that were super high on her gumline and quite pointy, but completely natural. So we go to a club with my sister's bf that was known to have a raised seating area where this crew of self proclaimed vampires had kind of claimed. People sort of rolled their eyes about it but also left them alone. If you weren't one of them, they were NOT friendly. The whole scene was like something from a movie. Forgetting entirely about her teeth (you only really realized that they were unique if she pulled her lip up to show you) I told her it wasn't a good idea to leave without letting me know and not to hang out in that corner. Of course she asked why and I did the eye roll thing and said "because that group thinks they're vampires and..." and she was off like a shot to show them her teeth. Like she'd finally found her people. They were all super emo goth types and she was 💯 fluffy glittering rave chick. She ran up to the couple that looked like they were holding court, all cool and vampy and uninterested and said "You guys are vampires? Can I see your teeth? COOOOOOL, these are mine!" And when she pulled her lip up these guys all dropped every shred of cool and leaned forward to inspect her like they were five year olds and she was a shiny new toy. She was the coolest thing they'd seen and by the end of the evening I had to go and extrapolate her from her new cheering section. It was the most hilarious club moment ever. She was all "K, byeeee!" And they all sent her on her way like puppy eyed school kids that had just met their favourite celebrity. 😂
