The proof is how easy it is to name Chelsea's XI for their 11/12 UCL winning team even though it's over a decade ago! I got 10 of the 11 instantly because they're iconic. That Chelsea side is nowhere near their peak as a club and a lot of forgettable players

That Chelsea side basically won the champions league the seasion prior, way more recent than that 'Iconic' Liverpool side being thrashed by Madrid over and over.
We won everything with that squad and reached 99 points while getting to back to back finals and barely losing games. We lost 1 nil in the final and got knocked out by them the season after when we had our worst season when we first finished 5th. Don't get so rattled because nobody knew your dead squad.
