پیمان سلطانی موسیقیدان، شاعر، نویسنده، گرافیست، نظریه‌پرداز و منتقد، متولد سال ۱۳۴۹ در ایران است. تا کنون آثار بسیاری در حوزه موسیقی، شعر، گرافیک و متن‌های ادبی--هنری از وی منتشر شده است. او هنرمندی مستقل، متعهد و خالق آثار حماسی، اعتراضی، اجتماعی و عاشقانه است. مهم‌ترین اثر او منظومه سمفونیک "ایرانه خانم" است. سلطانی رهبر ارکستر سمفونیک "ملل" (تخت جمشید-پرسپولیس) و سرپرست ارکسترهای "کُلُنل" ، "لیلی‌یان" ، "شبانرود" ، "شنیدستان" و ... بوده است. وی سفیر فرهنگی و صلحِ (مرکز دیپلماسی موسیقی) از سوی سازمان ملل است و هم اکنون مدیر کارگروه موسیقی ایکوم (ICOM) ایران است.
پیمان سلطانی همچنین مدیر اولین صداخانه‌ی موسیقی ایران و مدیر موزه موسیقی شیراز بوده است. وی عضو افتخاری کانون نویسندگان ایران است. از این موسیقیدان تا کنون کتاب، مقاله، آلبوم‌های موسیقی بسیاری منتشر شده است. بررسی تخصصی و جدی درباره‌ی زنان موسیقی، طی عنوان (زنان موسیقی)، برای اولین بار در ایران توسط او انجام‌ گرفته است. وی اولین فعالیت‌های چند رسانه‌ای در بخش موسیقی زنان را عهده‌دار بوده است. از آثار او می‌توان به جشن‌های ایرانی، مجموعه موسیقی ادبیات کلاسیک، آثار ملی_میهنی، عاشقانه‌ها، مجموعه‌ی صدای شاعران معاصر، موسیقی برای کودکان، مجموعه آثار اعتراضِ اجتماعی و ... اشاره کرد که برای ارکسترهای سمفونیک، ارکستر زهی، ارکستر مجلسی، آنسامبل ایرانی، کوارتت‌ و ... نوشته شده است.
پیمان سلطانی معتقد است هر گرایش نویی در هنر با شورش آغاز شده است و هنرمند باید تخیل‌اش را از محدودیت‌ها رها کرده و خود را در انحصار هیچ تضمینی قرار ندهد. سلطانی اندیشه و دگرگونی‌اش را مدیون معاشرت با بزرگان فرهنگ و هنر می‌داند.

Peyman Soltani is a musician, poet, writer, graphic artist, theorist and critic, born in 1971 in Iran. Many works of art in the field of music, poetry, graphics and literary texts have been published by him so far. He is an independent, committed artist and is a creator of epic, protest, social and romantic works. His most important work is the symphonic poem "Iraneh Khanum". Soltani has been the conductor of "Melal" symphony orchestra (Takht Jamshid-Persepolis). He has been music conductor of "Kolonel", "Leiliyan", "Shabanroud", "Shenidastan" orchestras. He is a cultural and peace ambassador (Music Diplomacy Center) from the United Nations and is currently the director of the ICOM Music Working Group of Iran.
Soltani is the manager of Iran's first Audio Music House and the director of the Shiraz Music Museum. He is an honorary member of the Writers Association of Iran. Many books, articles, and music albums have been published by this musician. A specialized and serious study about female musicians, under the title (Women of Music), has been conducted by him for the first time in Iran. He has been responsible for the first multimedia activities in the field of women's music. Among his works, we can mention Iranian festivals, music collection of classical literature, national-patriotic works, romances, collection of voices of contemporary poets, music for children, collection of social protest works, etc., which have been written for symphony orchestras, string orchestras, chamber orchestras, Iranian ensembles, quartet, etc.
Peyman Soltani believes that every new trend in art has started with a rebellion and the artist should free his imagination from limitations and not limit himself to any guarantee. Soltani owes his thoughts and transformation to association with great people of culture and art.
