Gibraltar is one place I've wanted to visit for quite some time now and I finally got round to it. It is notorious for being one of the most dangerous airports in the world and one of the most unique runways. The airport is over shadowed by the famous Gibraltar rock, standing tall at just over 1300ft! The rock can cause some very strong downward drafts and has been known to create severe wake turbulence because the wind is forced around the rock or over the top of it. This also leads to frequent low cloud coverage as the clouds are forced over the top of the rock and then sink down the hillside towards the airport & town. Not only all of this but it's the only airport to have a main road which crosses the runway! Pedestrians and cars can just walk across the runway until there is a plane coming and then the barriers are dropped just like a level crossing for trains!
Despite all these obstacles our pilot made the landing look effortless and we made a perfect arrival, with beautiful views over the Moroccan coast and the straight of Gibraltar (Where the Atlantic Ocean & Mediterranean meet)

Good video, but I reckon you might have enjoyed it more if you'd sat on the right-hand side of the aircraft. Fantastic views of the rock, and a more spectacular vista of where you're actually headed. On a similar note, the lft-hand side is much better for departures at the Gibraltar end.

I did a flight in fsx from northern Morocco to Gibraltar- very short!
Must be the Atlas Mountains I guess considering the immediately subsequent views of the North African coast.
Sounds like the same Cabin Manager as when you flew back from Brussels?
What were those mountains on the horizon at 30 minutes plus?

Nice vid. Going to Gib from Gatwick in March. Usually fly from Birmingham, but for some reason, Monarch are only doing eve flights at moment from Brum. I much prefer to fly in morning, and Easyjet are the only operator doing morning flights ?

+Britt Unculus It depends which way you come in. You fly over Marbella and then you'll make a right turn after a few mins. Then you'll approach the runway if you come straight into GIB. However if you don't, like in this vid, the plane continues to travel southwest until you pass GIB and it then flies around the rock tuning to the right making a very interesting approach to the runway :)
Exactly; which one is it in your Video? At first I thought it was coming in from the Mediterranean side; then I concluded that the plane had swept round much further clockwise to land from the Atlantic side.

Is there a reason why you're deliberately putting the word "full flight" when the video is not even an hour long? It takes more than two hours to get to this place, I hope you can be honest next time
*Full Flight* is in stars because its to be taken with a pinch of salt. Its a series of hundreds of videos I do on my channel, with millions of views which include every stage of the flight. From departure to arrival. If you're looking for a near 3 hour video of nothing you're on the wrong channel and I might add you should find a more productive way to spend your time.
