    Dear Mojaxx, please stop apologizing for "wack scratching", your scratchin' sounds tight to me, great review by the way.

      Thanks, but I hang out with DJs who are MUCH better at cutting than me, and it's important people don't think I'm labouring under any illusions!

      @@Mojaxx Fair enough, but, I think only a small amount of judgemental, turntablist snobs would be the only one critiquing your scratch demonstrations, those people aren't even worth throwing out a disclaimer for. Although I have no stats to prove it, I'm pretty such most people just appreciate you demonstrating that whatever product you're reviewing at the time, can be scratched on.

    Was back in the market for a portable turntable, things have come a long way since the original PT-01 back in the day. Got lucky and managed to pick up a new one of these for under £150, which is frankly insane, and enabled me to immediately get the Innofader upgrade too! Thanks for your review videos which helped me find this and make up my mind....can't wait to play with it!

    Its only the second Mainstream portable turntable and so much has been added,but as a real portablist.One must always be aware of the charge in the batteries.There's nothing worst than being on the road and running out of juice,so i love batteries on portables,because they are easy to obtain and or purchase on the road.Yo Mojaxx Thanks for keeping portablism alive.#portablist Paya of the Scratch Zombies.

    I have a fully modded reloop spin. To make it a professional-level turntable that you can really scratch with and use real equipment with you will invest $600-$700. But then you have a seriously impressive piece of gear that I practice with literally every day. Having a portable will totally change the way you think about scratching, which you will realize is what makes all the difference. I started improving immediately and I could tell something was different about this. Definitely do it but don't cheap out. The spin is better than the pt01 for a multitude of reasons so get this one unless you plan on immediately doing all of the mods

    • @lolocaust4967
      @lolocaust4967 Před 11 měsíci +1

      At that price point wouldn't it make more sense to just put the total budget into a professional turntable?
      Or am I missing something. I'm new to turntables by the way, serious question.

    • @evanrandall1675
      @evanrandall1675 Před 11 měsíci

      @@lolocaust4967 yes for that price you can certainly get used professional gear that the best scratchers are using. Z2 mixers, vestax turntables, stanton str8-150. Portablism is a niche market for sure. My daily practice is on a numark scratch mixer with reloop rp 7000 mk2's. I bet a smart shopper could rebuild my setup for $800 used

    I heard they ruin your records due to the heavy traction of the cartridge/stylus since its a ceramic. Is the Reloop still worth it? The Numark PT01? Who would sell an upgrade of the tonearm and cartridge? What do you think of the Columbia GP3 from Japan? Thanks. I would really like one for crate digging.

    I want to start learning how to scratch but I don't have the budget for a whole set mixer turntable this looks like a really good option for me you think I will able to learn scratching, some people saying that the Reloop spin and pt01 are toys and sure you can play and make some basic cuts but the motor is not powerful enough and you will not get good torque and won't able to learn all the scratching techniques, what do you think should I really skip and wait till iI will have the money for a decent turntable or it will be good as the first learning Turntable, Originally I planed to buy reloop RP-2000 M but to store owner told me that it's good for DJ but not for the scratching not enough torque. but I really want to get into scratching, so what about the reloop spin It's cheap but originally it was made for scratching so, maybe the RP-2000 will be better for scratching even do it's not strong enough if my two option are SPIN or RP-2000 M?
