- In this episode I remove the Soundstream ST4.1000D amplifier and replace it with not 1 but 2 Soundstream ST2.1000D amps! This should be more than enough power for the RC.6 component speakers and should sound great with the Soundstream VRN-DD7HB. The specs of these amps are, 140W RMS X2 @ 4ohms, 250W X2 @ 2 ohms and 500W X1 @ 4 ohms Bridged.

This video was great help for installation. Fit is perfect! Did a single 4 ch sounds awesome. Thanks for posting the video!
Glad it could help, thank you for watching!
Do you have the paper showing how to hook the amp up I got my used and dont want to hook it up backwards thanks
Was that your actual system playing for the little while at the very end? Would like to hear more of the audio. By chance have you made another video with the music playing?
That was not the system. Unfortunately I haven't filmed anything else on this system. I have a new microphone coming that can handle higher SPL without distorting, so I may have some video of the Jeep systems coming soon.
Love these videos. Audio system is probably the next thing I tackle on my Jeep after I get my hardtop next month.
Any chance you'll do a video on headliners/sound deadening mats? I saw a comment of yours on a headliner video from extremeterrain about half a year ago that you're back and forth on them.
I'm still on the fence with them, I've talked to a few companies that manufacture the headliners and companies that make the material itself. Still don't know if I'll spend the money on them, but I'll definitely keep the idea in mind, now that I know there is an interest in a video. Thanks for watching!
I can’t believe how small the amps are getting compared to what’s in my truck.
I know! It's crazy the size of these things. I remember having an old school Jensen 1000W amp (old blue ones) that was like 2 feet long!
I have the 4 Chanel one and win I tern it up it starts cutting in and out what could that be
How are these amps holding up? Thinking about doing 2 ST2. 1000D's to power 4 Polk Audio DB-692's on my motorcycle.
They are holding up great, still have them in the Jeep. Thanks for watching!
Was wondering, did you ever end up doing that? I got 4 6x9 power acoustik edge series. Right now I have 1 soundstream amp powering all 4 and honestly, it don't sound bad!! I'm wondering if it is gonna be worth it to invest another 150 into a second soundstream amp. The speakers run at 150W each/300W a pair and I have the BT version bridged.
@@tommymurray7023 the SS's (ST4.1000D) are a beast bridged. Individual channels put out not-even-close readings. Anywhere from 35 - 52 watts each compared to the 90 watts in the specs. Bridged is the way to go using this model. I'm an installer and you should check out my audio builds on my channel.
@@MarvelousAudioM-E-B thanks and I definitely will!! RN in experiencing some clipping, but I'm thinking with the second and I would be able to push all four speakers appropriately with plenty extra.
@@tommymurray7023 additionally, that ST4.1000D is unstable at 2 ohms so I wouldn't try configuring for 2 ohms. Go no less than 3 ohms. Thanks for your inquiry!
What size Power and ground word did you use
Those amplifiers suck. They dont do 2 ohm load like they say. There is a video of it getting bench tested.
Thanks for letting us know, that is a disappointment they won't run 2 ohm, but they far from suck when at 4 ohm. I've been running the Stealth series (ST4.1000D & ST2.1000D) for quite a while and they are holding up great and sound awesome to! Thanks for watching!
another good video thanks I guess you can't do do what we talked about.?
Thanks for watching!
Watt and watts of power!
Yep! Thanks for checking out the video!
Witch amp are you using for bass
They are both Soundstream ST2.1000D amps. One for the front components and one for the rear components. Just mid & high right now, no sub yet. Thanks for watching!
Rocky X TV ok thanks. What would you recommend for running subs, mini amps.
The Soundstream ST1.1000D is a micro mono block amp. It's the same size as these.
What are you doing with. Amp
The amp I took out? It goes back to Soundstream.
