In this interview, Arshan sits down with one of this generation’s most fearless & creative artists, Teezo Touchdown. Teezo makes music that you can say is indie, alternative, rap, rock, and really just all the above. They sit down to talk about his project “How Do You Sleep At Night” & what really went into making that, songs like “OK”. Teezo was on tour during this time for the UTOPIA tour with Travis Scott.. so he talks about making Modern Jam with him in New York, and then eventually performing at Madison Square Garden. Teezo also mentions how artists like Tyler The Creator and Drake took him under his wing. They both featured him on their albums “Call me If You Get Lost” & “For All The Dogs”. Teezo tells the exact story of pulling up to Drake and making their songs “7969 Santa” and “Amen”. Teezo talks about how he used to study the come up of artists like Travis Scott and Drake to see what they were doing right and wrong, so he could then apply that to his career. Teezo talks about downloading interviews of artists like Lil Uzi Vert from his library at Beaumont Texas and watching them as a teenager. He also talks about how Sahbabii and Partynextdoor are his favourite writers, and how he would love to work with Frank Ocean. Watch the full interview to hear what he had to say.

i love how teezo asked to do the interview with a casual office background rather than a clean open space or something aesthetic, because i think he was intentionally pushing you out of your comfort zone with that, which is so important.

Honestly, one of my all-time favorite interviews. The 40 minutes just flew by, great to see such an in-depth conversation with Touchdown. Learning from the depth of insight shared was truly inspiring for anyone. shoutout to KTO and Touchdown for making this happen 🫡🔥
He looks warm and cold and the same time 🤔 Seriously though, happy you got to interview such an inspiring and creative artist, was pretty interesting when he said he wanted to find a hobby he couldn’t monetize. Great interview to start 2024 off with 🔥

so hooked on him and his art and ( not to be corny ) inspired by how he never stops ! i come from a long line of people who see creativity as a waste of time and think success is when you work a 9-5 settle down and start a family , usually as young as possible … he’s re-sparked my energy to change that and want something different for myself ! wish i could’ve got some tickets in sf but there will always be a next time

Being from Philly how he just casually met wallo was during an interview was just so organic
loved this interview as a whole, but the section about the "shame" in being a fan is so real. I'm a musical artist myself and I always feel insecure about telling other artists how they inspire me because I know there's gonna be someone somewhere thinking I'm tryna get put on, but I'm literally just showing my appreciation and encouragement for them to continue their music. I'm breaking about that feeling by the grace of God, but people should be more respectful!
