This ranking list was made using various research material, comments, polls, damage potential, team building options, future potential, and character's popularity.
How ranking was done:
*Neuvillette - Doesn't really need an explanation, but still, easy to play, best AoE, best single target, he solos everything in the game, best for mobile players.
*Arlecchino - She is an infusion-based DPS and deals tons of frontloaded damage plus she has the highest damage ceiling in the game, very F2P friendly, and has very flexible team rotations as well as team building options. The only downside to her kit is that she cannot be healed by anyone other than herself.
*Alhaitham - He is a very flexible skill-based DPS who has a very high floor for damage, he can use Hyperbloom reaction plus has tons of team building options. The only con for him is that his gameplay requires some learning.
*Hu Tao - She is also an infusion DPS who has one of the highest damage potentials in the game, but she requires a very high amount of investment to truly shine. She also requires you to learn jump cancel, her team building options are also very expensive, plus she doesn't have any team variations. Hu Tao excels in single target but her AoE is very weak, thus putting her at 4th place.
*Navia - She is a Geo DPS who deals tons of frontloaded damage using her skill, she is very easy to play with very flexible team rotations, she doesn't need high investment to deal high damage.
*Ayaka - She has one of the strongest damage-dealing bursts in the game, she is also F2P friendly, but her team building options are very limited mainly to freeze teams, which require someone like Kazuha to group enemies to freeze, also her rotations are not very flexible.
*Xiao - Xiao has the potential to be a top 5 DPS but he requires a very expensive team such as C6 Faruzan and Xianyun to really pop-off, otherwise he is a solid AoE DPS.
The team showed in vid doesn't have to do anything with the overall ranking.
This ranking isn't just about damage. It considers a bunch of other factors, like level of investment, team building options, and how much a character can grow in future. Plus, the game itself is pretty easy, so you should have no trouble beating that's why pull characters you really like.

What people often forget when comparing Hu tao to arlecchino is that arlecchino does aoe damage, which hu tao can't do unless in her plunge team. So even if hu tao does slightly more damage, arlecchino is still better

What people often forget is hutao used in double hydro team not in nuke teams like that
@@Noobmaster-dc6ne double hydro can also be played with alrecchino instead of hu tao, and it might be a bit worse in terms of damage, but arlecchino will make the team be able to be used in AOE which is much more valuable
for someone who has both arlechinno and hu tao built fully i can clearly say that both are pretty similar as a Pyro dps, they sometimes have edge over each other in certain teams but that's pretty much it.
2 number is only depends on players. For me AlHaitham still better than Arlecchino due his playstyle and spread high dps

Alhaitham teams run Nahida and Furina, Being the Peak of Dendro Meta, it's much more consistent.

Nah, with Xianyun and Faruzan, Xiao is more of a sustained DPS. While in this showcase they try to do a very quick showcase damage
Xiao's nuke team is: Xiao, Faruzan C6, Mona, Bennet. ^^

Alhaitham is better than arlecchino he has better aoe same lvl in single target but better in long fights he can run hyperbloom alongside his personal dmg can outperform arle dmg also very f2p friendly.hope you consider it

Can you explain the use of Sucrose vs Kazuha here? I know her C6 gives 200EM, but does that edge out C0 Kazuhas burst buff?
Sucrose will also perform better in reaction than c0 kazuha, since reaction dmg scales highly from em, and she provides em buff when she swirls elements, also her c6 increases 20% elemental dmg bonus of whichever element is absorbed by her burst.

Navia and Ayaka are running their best teams meanwhile Xiao doesn't have Xianyun and... Lisa for Alhaitham?? Ayaka even used the pure damage team with Bennett instead of the typical freeze team.

I have a question, why do we consider Xiao as one of the strongest DPS and not Diluc? I mean Diluc's plunge ability is higher than Xiao and he is pyro so he can do strong reactions like melt and he doesn't need C6 Faruzan though that Diluc just needs Xianyun ? I don't mean that Xiao is weak but why ?
I think diluc has way less up time for when he can deal damage. Xiao's team also feels quite a bit smoother to play. But yea, people should start putting some more respect on my boy's name

Can someone explain Why Furina on AlHaitham's team?
Furina can be used with any dps, she buffs every dps in the game but i wouldn't suggest you to use her with arlecchino, you can still use furina with arlecchino but the synergy isn't as good as with others.

Arlecchino does more Single target dmg. Neuv does better aoe.
Neuv is almost impossible to kill bc he keeps healing while also beeing able to be healed by others. Neuv is better Overall, but Arle does more dmg and is a character for experienced players who dont need that extra healing.
Arlecchino using one of her two rotations to kill raiden while neuvillet killed her with half of one charge . I can't see that neg diff for arle🤷

@@konighartzderiv.4898 arle can also heal herself with her burst , which also resets the cd of elemental skill. She is pretty easy to use idk why people make it like it's some rocket science to use her.
You just need to wait about 5s after using her elemental skill and then just start using her normal attack. The higher blood depth the more she'll heal herself.

Arle simply killed Raiden with 3 basic attacks without using her burst, Neuv using her burst and 3 more charged hits, apart from the fact that the first hit of her basic attack caused almost the same damage as the neuvillette's vaporized burst and vaporized it. his is 2X while hers is 1.5X, each of her hits deals double the damage of Neuvillette's hits, and she does 18 to 20 hits while Neuvillette does 24 hits, in total count Arle has more DPS than Neuvillette.

Not if arle dies quickly, she can’t be healed, she has a whole new artifact set, I’ve seen so many arle mains die in domains while I’ve barely seen any neuvi mains, neuvi also heals himself, he does like 1k at level 1
Neauvillette heals more consistently than arle, arle dies too fast because she can only be healed during her burst.
Neauvillette can also have constant charged attack (If you time it right.)

They probably pulled for arlecchino coz shes the first High dmg Dealer(Great Sustainer as well) Pyro 5* Melee since Hutao, Demand for melee characters is more than catalysts and bows obv. Also it's kinda Rule of Genshins that Lore relevant Characters Oughta have Insane Kit ingame too. So most of them right after getting arle They must've already started saving primos for Natlan's Murata or Some dragons or another Harbingers like me here. Also i think Murata here will be on the Dps + Support Side Coz She is literally God of war, her Personality is also Hotheaded Mentioned By venti that she is 'Obnoxious' Sometimes in the manga So Expect Claymore as a Weapon
Play her one time, her NA string is one the best and satisfying to play, her charge attk cover distance is unique in itself, she not burst reliant or E for infusion and infusion won't go away even after swapping characters, When doing E animation , she can go in immune state which can be used for iframing the enemy DMG. She got high DMG output and have decent Aoe which can cover most enemies when using with kazuha in abyss. She is easiest to build with low investment even easier than neuvillette as she can use free r5 white tassel and 4p glad set which most vets have.

Neuv pretty much reworked the way a dps must work, now doing more st dmg isnt enough to beat him as the best dps, but you also has to beat him in aoe, ease of use and sustainability, and that is what arlechinno lacks compared to him
Arle dies too quickly. Neauvi is more consistent.

@@Amani-ff1zp Interrupting neuvillettes charge attack is much more of a dps loss compared to arlecchino. This is why he needs a shielder at c0. As for arlecchino, you only need to play her the same way as alhaitham.
@@whatisbow2865 neuv without shield is still easier to manuever compared to arle without shield. You can hover around and out range enemies attacks. Arle have to be in meele, dodging with Arle is more challenging than hovering with Neuv.

Wanderer and Xiao were similar before Xianyun, some even preferred Xiao. He takes the #4 or #5 spot after Xianyun.
@@cosmicarmor2426no one preferred xiao over wanderer back then, because he had energy issues and he always pushes enemies away, even with xianyun he’s still relative to wander, and he’s not stronger than anyone one above him on the list
@@Pancakegirl_ He is no longer relative to Wanderer in the same way he was before his buff. They were similar then but now we have Xianyun, so you having Xiao with Wanderer here makes no sense. There were people who preferred him to Wanderer before Xianyun. Zajeff, for example. Pushing enemies was never really an issue before Xianyun because enemies who would be pushed usually were dead extremely quickly. It was an issue before Faruzan. He probably takes the number 4 spot on your list with his BiS team, as he is stronger than those ahead of him until Alhaitham on your list. That's the only thing those others have over him is versatility with team comp. He's a competitive option in ST and the strongest AoE carry in the game next to Neuv (Arl now too). That's something he has in common with those top 4. Crazy AoE and fantastic single target. The others you mention excel in 1 and not the other, are clunky or less consistent, etc.
@@cosmicarmor2426 xianyun is a 5 star character and not everyone will want to kill for another 5 star character just to make the other 5 star strong, xiao isn’t better than wanderer without xianyun, even if it’s better than wanderer with xianyun, people will rather pull for only one Anemo dps rather than pulling for one and then forced to pull for another 5 star xianyun…and yes xiao pushing enemies away was an issue for a lot of players just because it wasn’t an issue for you doesn’t mean it was for others, and he had energy issues, like in this video that’s why he’s ranked 7th and not higher …although you can make the argument of who is better between xiao and wandere and it could go either way, but he’s not in the top 7 or 8 dps
@@Pancakegirl_ That's just a part of this game, team-building. Yes, Xiao's BiS team is high investment and has other 5* just like many other characters best teams. This video Xiao has 2 other 5* on his team that aren't his BiS, but you're acting like this is a legitimate complaint. This video isn't representative of Xiao's potential. He's closer to 4th and you're coping. Xiao doesn't have Faruzan or Xianyun here but Ayaka has Shenhe and Kazuha. Navia has a better team than Xiao here too. Alhaitham has Nahida and Furina. Fucking Wanderer even gets Furina and Faruzan. Like, you can't say in good faith that this is a fair comparison. This Xiao would be hitting way harder with Xianyun and Faruzan. Easily over double what is shown here. Xiao is just definitively better than Wanderer in most scenarios. A C0 Xiao with hyper investment and BiS team is doing C6R5 Wanderer numbers in ST. You are just wrong here. I literally said myself that Xiao was comparable to Wanderer before Xianyun, so I don't know why you're repeating my words to me. Xiao is the best Anemo DPS now after Xianyun. We're assuming these characters are high investment with good teams. I also literally said Xiao pushing enemies was an issue before Faruzan. If that was happening after her, it's because the Xiao himself and team wasn't well built. Small enemies get pushed. Small enemies have low HP and are easily killed with higher damage. This stopped being an issue after Faruzan because of Xiao's damage being high enough to clear them instantly via 1 shotting instead of knocking them back. He didn't really have energy issues after Faruzan if you had her C6. Now with Xianyun, he has no ER issues. That's one of the reasons he is among the best now, he is one of the most consistent DPS in the game. Xianyun and Faruzan allows him to run essentially no ER.

Specially cuz navia used a very expensive team... I'm pretty sure a furina Is far more rare and expensive than faruzan, so the price is not a factor
@@marsopa9580 I've mentioned that team shown in video doesn't have anything to do with ranking, as for why I didn't use faruzan on xiao because he was on a completely diff account.

Alhaitham is extremly cost-efficient. Dont need a specific artifact set, can use three star weapons.

2/6 rainsword VS 2/2 gunbrella I cant see the point she'll be higher because she's gonna enter a 2nd rotation after using her 2 shots of gunbrella or NA for 4 seconds.

@@Mythical620 no he doesn't, I have him, And he doesn't at all. Maybe can Overtake Ayaka in Multitarget, but Ayaka eats 3 Wanderer for breakfast in Single target. Xiao got a dedicated buffer xianyun who make shim stronger than wanderer. Alhaitham is the Peak of Dendro Meta and it isn't even close, You can check from literally this video that he over power's Hyperbloom iitself, Unlike Childe team where Xiangling overpowers Childe.

Xiao better because of consistent AoE and with C6 faruzan, Xianyun and Furina he does 200k on single while in AoE situations he does like 140k-150k, diluc needs vape and doesnt do that well on AoE at all since Xianyun only buffs for 1 enemy and he is clunky with it because sometimes furina does the vaping instead of diluc
