THANKS FOR WATCHING - Zábava
Get your CDL! It gives you so many more options on this biz!
I’m a CDL, CLASS A trainer, and you explained the CDL for hotshots very well job well done.,
Appreciate that
So with a class a I can operate A 40 ft trailer?
Here's where I'm stumped. Does the class A CDL require or have to pass the air brake system test for a hotshot set-up considering H/S truck an trailers don't or are not set up for air brakes. I know it's a endorsement that can be later added on for big rig requirements. So my question is do I need to get the air brake endorsement for running hot shot? Thanks.
Good video bro keep them coming 💯
Great job B
U broke it down like a cardboard Box!!!! I appreciate this. 🙏🏾
Good information. Keep it up 👍
That help alot!💯👍
I just pass my CLASS A CDL or third try with studying. THANKS TO YOU, I’m ready to start my new life‼️‼️‼️
Great information ✅
I just got my CDL, so many windows open up lol and less worry about weights.
Well spoken facts
Class A CDL it is then, thanks Big Dawg! 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Picking up tomorrow 21k lbs 4.87 mile. I do more FTL than partials. Props to y’all on the partial game. Not as easy as everyone thinks.
I applied I submitted my information I spoke with Jade and I never got a callback from you guys thank you for the opportunity
If you live in California, over 10k tow you need cdl if you license is not from California don't need to worry about it, also when moving a gooseneck have to check the weight if the trailer loaded with the gooseneck hitch ball Weight, usually the normal hitch ball is rated at 25k pounds if your trailer GVWR is more, now you're overweight
Thanks for posting this . Cause I know in certain states it’s tricky thats why I say just get your class a and be done with it
Yall need to listen to this man. Get your CDL!!!
He ain't trying to give out that gamertag lmao
Brotha acting like someone arguing with him behind they screen. 😂😂
Benni, how do I get a hold of pops for his dispatching service?
Brooooo you’ve been so helpful!! More than anybody I’ve seen!
So having a GVWR truck/trailer is 25’900lbs
How much can I haul? 26’000lbs? Or more??
With no cdl
No. Re watch
Hey I’m looking to get into hot shot soon. where I’m currently working I don’t have an option for class a so I’m in the process of getting my class B. When it comes to this line of work would a Class B WITH a trailer endorsement put me in the ballpark of a “Class A” in the hot shot business?
I’m studying right now.
Do you know if dot officers will complain about certain emissions equipment that may be missing? That will determine if I have to buy a different truck.
I live in California and sucks!!! if you don't have the Class A CDL. Dot CHP officers don't care ... if you Towing more then 10k with None CDL you will be out of Service Immediately...
and then you will get a Violation ... they don't give people a chance at all. If you get you CDL First you don't have too worry about anything + you will make more money 💯.
Do you need IRP apportion plates, and IFTA if you have the cdl setup?
From what I was told by a DOT officer is a class C only allows you haul no more than 10,000 pounds unless it’s recreational vehicle like a 5th wheel then you can haul up to 15k. So my question to them was what if I purchased a trailer that weights 4500 curb weight he told me that I could only tow 5500lbs of cargo. I said but what if my curb weight of my truck is 6k and my trailer is 6k that would put me at 12k. 12k-26,001= 14,001 isn’t that what I would be able to haul? I was told no with a class C you are capped at 10,000 pounds. So no matter what you can’t tow more than 10k. Doing research online I get the same info. So in my opinion no matter what if you want to take decent jobs you need a CDL.
Entered a weight station in california and they told me that any trailer witha gvwr over 10001 lbs u need a class a …
Hey I just wanted to know if you’re dad is still hiring I want to start and I would love to start driving for you guys
You kept skirting around what I need to know! My reading GVWR for trailer and truck is over 26,000 pounds but does that mean I can’t drive this thing empty without a class a or does it mean that when I put a load on I just better make sure I’m under 26,001 pound no one ever explains that. Can I not drive the vehicle at all? Like if I go pick up the trailer knew from the lot and it’s a 20 K trailer on my truck is over at 10 KGVWR can I not driving home empty? Because it doesn’t weigh 26,001 pounds but it’s rated for that. I just wanna know if I can drive it or not without a class a.
Bro,, you play any WZ? Hit me up 🤣
Been searching all around fmsca and dmv for months. If my trailer has a gvwr of under 10k in CALI can I still tow hot shots non cdl ?? Cali is such a Grey area. Is it my gross weight with truck and trailer. Or is it strictly weight rating has to be under 26k for truck AND Trailer ?
What about cdl b
my 2021 RAM 2500+BIG TEX 14GN weighs 13,450lbs I am not hauling over 10klbs
What’s your registration weight? I just purchased a ram 5500 with 19.5k GVWR
I’m looking for a 40ft trailer, what’s the difference say trailer is 25,900 with 12k axles
Or 30,000 with 15k axles, what should I register my vehicle at, Ram says I can tow 43,000, is that where it needs to be 43k on registration, can I go with 38,000, this is where I get confused, truck and trailer GVWR would be 45400k, if I go with a trailer that’s 25900
My question is. If I want to stay with a one car trailer transport do I still need a cdl next year? Thank you. Great information. Appreciate taking the time
Do y'all still broker Freight
How much weight can your truck carry
My Set up is 26000, I derated my trailer, but my set up actually weights 16480, I will do only 9200 to be on the safe side, but I still getting my CDL anyways, I don't want to be limited, 1 more month for my actual driving test.
If you are going to get your cdl then you should've never derated your trailer because now your going to be stuck at that derated weight limit. 😅😅
What was your set up?
Picking up my trailer in a week to start up non-CDL. Only able to find a 30ft trailer with a trailer shortage
What brand & how long did it take to make?
I got a BigTex 14GN and I found a place in Wyoming that had a couple on hand. I spent a long time calling different dealers of different brands and this is only one I found starting on the west coast heading east. The place is called Extreme Truck Outfitters out of Caspar Wyoming. Not that far of a drive for me coming from Utah but might be too long of a journey for others. Other dealers I’ve talk to say it would take anywhere from 6 weeks to January to get a trailer built so shop around. Hope it helps!
Is there a way to get the CDL class A without having to learn to Semis that I'm not planning to ever drive them?
CDL is a way to be safe on public highways learn how to control and drive tractor trailers, if you learn all that you can control pretty much anything.
You would have to obtain General knowledge, Airbrakes and Combination, Tess before you can operate this type of vehicle if you have someone to teach you it will be good if not you have to go to CDL school, after December how many year 2022 you will need to go to school.
I'm non cdl with a 2020 ram 3500 dually and a 30 ft .. gcwr is 26k 14k on the truck 12k on the trailer. . My dry weight is 15800 I can haul 10000 pounds
Hey bro are you in California?
@@rogeladonay Virginia
So i can operate a 40 ft trailer with a class a cdl
OK I'm being told that if the trailer is over 10000 pounds you need a cdl. I have a ram 2500 10000pound gvwr I'm looking at a trailer that's 15900 does that make me a cdl set up?
GCWR = Gross combined weight rating
I have a non cdl setup 40ft I can carry 8,900 pounds
10-11lbs non Cdl
I wanna verify if in the state of Florida, I would need a class C to drive hotshot under 26001 lbs. Can anyone verify or otherwise?
What size is that hoddie your wearing
2x
bro so towing capacity doesnt matter? whats your towing cpacity?
Table 5:43
Should I get my CDL without air brakes to at least have it
I would get Air Brakes. Never know when you wanna set up. To add later you gotta start all over
So if I get this right , If I get a truck and trailer and it’s at 25,000pounds I don’t need my CDL , but if I get a load that’s 1500pounds I’d need my CDL because I’m over 26kpoundd
No, if the GVWR of the Truck is over 26,000 you need a CDL. If the GVWR of the truck plus the GVWR of the trailer is over 26,000 you need a CDL. There are exception for farm equipment in some states. The CDL is for what your setup is capable of carrying. The violations are for being over weight for your setup.
Non-CDL hot shots will all end 2022 do you need your CDL in 2022.
The problem getting the CDL is if you don't have a truck and trailer yet.
The problem is that people aren’t willing to do what ever it takes to get a cdl.
@@joebrings5817 yeah thats 100 I'm working on getting a trailer right now even if I can't get a truck at the moment and probably having to rent a truck just to take my test with it to make sure I have my CDL
@@mikedrew287 right on bro I hope it all works out for you!
If you don't have a cdl do you need a health card to hot shot. That's my problem I have my cdl B but I'm having trouble with my blood pressure
Yes you do need a medical card
How high does it have to be when you won’t pass on the blood pressure?
That I don't know, but some doctors are flexible on that
Do I need a cdl if I have a Ford F-350 and not a ram 3500???
That truck is still heavy you will be limited on the trailers you can get and stay under 26k pounds
Is their slot of hotshot loads out of NC
Alot
Gvwr is 10000 and my trailer is 15900
Dose this mean I need my cdl ?
No you don’t you will still be under 26000 pounds truck and trailer.
Get your cdl you won't regret
Getting a CDL is easy, finding a decent trailer for a fair price is impossible.
Right
Lease.
Came through NM scale house some weeks back. 9 HOTSHOT TRAILERS SITTING THERE PARKED. LANDING GEAR DOWN. TRUCKS AT THE MOTEL. WANT TO KNOW WHY. BECAUSE YOU GUYS THAT ABSOLUTELY HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT TRUCKING ARE LISTENING TO THESE HOTSHOT VIDEOS AND THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE THEM REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT EITHER. THOSE 9 DRIVERS WERE PUT UP IN THE MOTEL SO THEY COULD GO SEE THE JUDGE ON MONDAY MORNING. Beware. If you want to know about trucking, go to school. Learn the right way. Go out with a trainer for 2-3months. You ones that are quiting your johs and getting into this are going to get in TROUBLE. . Ihave been driving since 1992. This my life. Over 3 million miles. These guys are going to get you in trouble. Take some advice. Don't take this guy. Hotshot Dave. Dream Inspired . These guys are ROOKIES. One more time. ROOKIES
FYI to anyone in Washington state...if you do not have at least your Commercial Learner Permit(to get a class A CDL) by February 2022...you will HAVE to go to a school in order to get it. And as we all know, once the state mandates a requirement, those requirements cost a fortune. So all the schools will be charging even more than they are now. Too many dipshit semi truck drivers on the road here in WA, so the state is stepping in to "fix" the problem...we all know how that will go. Get your CDL ASAP if you are in WA or you will be paying thousands for a license you can currently get on your own for free.
I got my permit today. I don't know anyone with a truck that has the time to teach me so I will be going to school through community college. Honestly, I think anyone that doesn't come from a trucking background should go to school anyway. We have enough people driving around with just the basics and its proven not to work. Too many idiots on the roads.
you can not haul a trailer over 10000 lbs gvwr without a CDL A even if your gcvwr is under 26000 lbs
My trailers GVWR is over 10k and I'm non-cdl.
In California maybe (with a CA DL)…but the rest of the country you can
What about with a cdl claw B
@@ramonurena3248 cdl B is the same trailer restrictions I believe? 10000 lbs only goes up with class A
Why does this have dislikes? Damn haters
That’s what I was thinking too.
Why u yelling?
