I didnt know there was a Rat Rod culture in Africa. Awesome job so far, keep it up.
Oh yes, and the culture is growing quite fast!
@@ratrodsafrica Thats awesome.
I've been a body man mechanic machinist 50 years enjoy your laid back approach. FROM OHIO THANK YOU. I build rats to.
Thanks Mike from Ohio. Happy building!
Nice job, that last piece tied it all together nicely and will add a lot of strength to the back of the cab. Thanks Div.
I've got a '53 Ford F-1 Cap and Front Clip..
I Still Nito Come Up with a Set of Doors. It also came with a 351 Cleveland and a C-6 Transmission. Keep Up the Great Work... My South African Brother.
Thanks man. Good luck with your project!
Hello Div, great job on the floor and back of the cab. She's going to be a Beauty. 👌 Take care my friend and see you next time. 👍👍👍
Thanks Terrence👍
Take a little bite at a time is something you're been teaching me While I've been watching your Videos . I've got such a bad habit quick and big Your style is the only way to do it not rush bit by bit.🙏
Yes man, eat the elephant one bite at a time. Large gulps just gives tummy ache!😆
Hi Div one bite at a time and your floor pan are perfect. Watching you with your amazing skills and getting the fabricating done. Lekka boet catch you in the next video. Take care and thanks for the update video.
Howzit Alan. Thanks for the support brother!
One of the best fabricator for sure Diff! Enjoy your attention to detail friend.
Wow, thanks! Kind words brother.
Div, quick fix for the wooden scribe- super glue a piece of sheet steel to the face of the scribe, have a lakka one boet.👍🏴
I’m sure I am not alone in saying we enjoy watching you creating your build very much. 23:02 😊
Thank you! Glad you are enjoying it with me🙂
Im a big fan of using recycling for stuff like templates and even making project boxes for electronics, or all sorts of art projects. You can even use them as a gasket in a pinch.
Outstanding work, you set the standard for Quality in craftsmanship!
Thank you for your kind words!
I can imagine that wooden marking gage would wear out pretty quick! My Stanley metal marking gage needs occasional flattening out because even the steel gets worn away after constant rubbing against galvanized sheet metal! That truck sure is coming together nicely!! 😎
Yes man. I will posting a video soon about making a metal version with basic tools. At least it will wear better🙂
That looks great Div. Coming along nicely. Thank you again for another inspiring video.
Love the music Div! Oh, yes ah, the cutting, templates and welding was ok. I tune in for the Elephant, mouse & tunes! lol. I enjoyed the whole experience! DK, Omaha (Not Frozen Today, but wait until tomorrow. The mouse will wiggle into the house).
Thank you, glad you enjoyed. Stay warm!
Love the music Diff coming together nice very clever man what imagination and your process

Hello Wallace. Glad you are enjoying my stuff man.
Very nice work . Build On ... and yes those ceral boxes are a god send
Excellent progress brother 👍
That short black and white perspective gave it a neat 50's vibe......and you look younger in black and white hahaha !!!
Keep up the good work 👍
Thanks man. Ja, it will take some filters and overlays to make me look younger😂
A Treat as always Div, keep up the great work. You certainly have the skills to pay the bills 😁👍🇺🇸🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you brother.

Thanks man. Yes, its something new I'm trying. (At the risk of intense scrutiny of my welding skills... 😆)
I am really enjoying this build and following along thay floor and back part looks so good .. love the symmetrical spot welds
Thanks for coming along brother! Glad you are enjoying my stuff🙂
I absolutely love your fabrication skills Div, and the end result is always so good! You're an inspiring fella Div, keep up the great content champion 😊

Thanks and pleasure!
Get that big ass Compressor! 20 Years ago I bought a 60 Gallon Ingersoll Rand Professor , and I use it almost daily . Well Worth the money 💰
I'm gonna tell my wife that I've been ordered to do so!😆
Another great video duff. I will see you on the next one !!!
Thanks Johnny, see you next Sunday🙂
Great job, amazing how much you get done, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones, have a Lekka one
Nice metal working Div!
Thank you Brad!
Another great video, I’m learning all the time. Thank you
Great job. I’m looking forward to the next video!
Thank you! See you next Sunday🙂
Great job Div. 👍
Even with load shedding you are getting it done
Ja, what a pain! No choice but to work around it, but it does slow things down...
Can't wait for the next on making that scribe tool. Keep up the great work.
Did sweet job on the floor 😳🇺🇸💯👍
Thanks man!
i love that metal working table you have,i have never seen anything like it. i could put that to good use !
I meant to say last time, Diff - with them little hand-held blasters, what media you use really matters - the lighter the media, the better the results you get - the ideal for them is medium or fine grade crushed glass - it works absolute best. That grit you are using is a bit too heavy for the gun. They don't have the chooch/design to accelerate heavier grits fast enough - but they do good accelerating lighter mediums. Faster the medium is accelerated, harder it hits the surface, better the cleaning action. :-) Crushed glass ftw.
Makes sense what you say. The problem out here is getting hold of the specialized media. So, we work what what we can find...
Excellent, the truck is looking great.
Thanks 👍
Man yes I believe u do a really good job u really are teaching some real good techniques I always enjoy watching ur great work keep up the awesome videos till next time my friend 👍👍👍
Glad you are enjoying my stuff. Thanks man.
Thanks for sharing - always interesting to watch the progress on the "elephant" - good luck until the next episode
Div it’s looking really nice so far. It’s coming along great. Like your videos. Can’t wait to see more videos for this project. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work sir. Fab on. Weld on. Keep Making. God bless.
Thank you brother!
One bite at a time 👍
I was trying to tell you that you forgot to drill one of the plug weld holes but you probably couldn't hear me because the compressor was running.👍🇨🇦 Nice job!
No, I heard you, that's why I went back to drill it.😄
Watching you use the flap disc to remove surface rust, and holding the grinder under its belly like a puppy has me wondering, why ?
No doubt you do it for a reason.
Thanks as always for the teaching.
Today I helped roof a summer house for my neighbour, so no garage time on my current build, but did get a bit of time yesterday.
I used the flap disc because I simply didn't have one of those face off discs handy at the time. As for the puppy grip, I didn't even notice until you mentioned it. No idea why!😄 It worked for me, but each of us will do it their own way. Whatever works
Howzit Div,
Your patience and precision is AMAZING and excellent quality and progress. Have a lekka weak a head 🌽🙌
Thanks boet! Lekka week vir jou ook!
Fantastic progress!!!👍👍👍
nice job bro nice job the pink elephants been flored.
😆 thanks
I have to agree with Rex , that kind of use what you have & do what you gotta do , needs to be taught in shop classes ! I'm 72 yrs old now but still learning thanks to talent like you Diff !
Thanks Darell! Yes, ALWAYS learning is the way to go. And the availability of just about anything in catalogues has destroyed innovation and common sense...
I totally agree with you and common sense is like finding Diamond's in the Sahara!!! Lol
That's looks good , You have inspired me to give a go ,,,,,nice work 👌
Great stuff man! The only way to learn is to go for it. Just do it boet!

Lekka Boet ... stay dry Brother, Ive been watching the CZcams channel "Beatiful Africa" Lots of rain your way. Be safe
Yes, we've had good rain. Not as much as other parts of the country
looking good
Working in the Air Force, our instructors drilled into us that a scribe line is a cut line. Scribing imparts a weakness into the metal when used at a fold. That was mostly for aluminum, but I still can't force myself to scribe a fold line in sheet steel either. Old habits die hard. I use an ultrafine Sharpie and mark the ends of the fold line and use them to line up the brake.
Makes sense on aluminum, but on steel I really don't think that light scribe line makes much of a difference. And I guess in aircraft engineering everything must be 100% on point!🙂
@@ratrodsafrica Of course, you're right. We never rusted a part on purpose either! Your rat-rodding is a pleasure to watch. Love what you are doing with vehicles most people would consider too far gone.
Great bodywork!!!
Thank you!
Awesome. Great work
