This section Pages 26 - 27 of the magazine, also confirms that the distance is BLUE square for Ptera Squirrel. No terrain rules though, which is just daft.
me and my buddies just did a small 6-man compendium only tourney using the killzone register terrain ruleset. so much fun, adds enough flavor to the map to compensate the lack of abilities our operatives had. this would be a great addition to our future compendium only events!
Useful info about the cards, especially with the extra points noted in the comments. More terrain would be great though - I only have some deathworld forest that came with one of the KT 1.0 sets, I think.
Hard to believe they just stuck the cards in the book with absolutely no other info. The Ghur trees are ok, but I added some plastic aquarium foliage to them to make them look more alive.

I thought I remembered with the deception cards that they said these little rules drops are part of the new Bunker feature in WD, and they’d be rotating these types of rules between Kill Team, Warcry, and maybe Underworlds? I think we can expect little cards-based light weight kill team rules every few months.
GW obviously did this for all those who wanted jungle instead of an oil rig but sadly did not put much effort in. However if it outshone their soon to be released KT box set it would make zero sense business wise so there’s that 😂
I am honestly a bit disappointed, I was hoping for more. That said, they're a lot like Warcry twist cards and I enjoy those well enough. I might still pick this up, I would like to build a jungle board for KT/Warcry
Wait, the DENSE word says “more than one” piece for terrain, that means u need to be completely outside the awakened wyldwood circle to bebobscured, no just be in the middle and be obscured
Which White dwarf had the previous jungle rules? And did they put them in last year's annual? Disappointed it's just a few cards but I have the full Gnarlwood season for Warcry and I reckon that could be a great alternate killzone for KT.
So, just a bone thrown to all the players disapointed by the poorly recieved offical season 3 terrain? I was going to try and get a copy of this WD but now I see I don't need to bother. 🙄
@@CanYouRollaCrit Really? I've seen a lot of negative comments about the terrain from both an aesthetic and playability viewpoint. Maybe because I don't like it I'm just focusing on the negative comments and skimming over any positive comments. 🤷
@@CanYouRollaCrit They could have easily just pilfered the Warcry terrain rules from the Gur season and re-worded them to fit Kill Team. Probably would have been more interesting then just handing out 6 random cards.
@ I think the only issue with Warcry terrain is it's very themed towards AoS. There's also an article of 2 pages included that gives more ways to use the cards in-game

@@CanYouRollaCrit I don't mean to just hand out ruled specific for the Gnarlwood terrain but use these rules to make something generic for Kill Team. The various "Forest Tactics", rope bridges and dangerous terrain to fall into would fit the Catachan Jungle just fine.
Disappointed. I hope theyre testing for a proper felease. Suggestion: Use one card, BUT any player can bid for another card. That player rolls a D6. 1-3, draw another card. 4-6, the bidding player gains 1CP.

Can't remember the issue but it had several new traits for terrain
It was issue #478 in an article titled, “Creating a Killzone”. I think the rules are on Wahapedia under Killzone Register.
It’s not jungle rules, just a bunch of different terrain traits like Dense that John mentioned.

This issue was likey done 6 months ago so wouldn't be linked to S3, although most reception of the terrain I have seen has been alright/good 🤷♂️
