I think that is the best 6 minute and 14 seconds of documentary I have seen. I have been a Ford fan since I was 9 years old, when my farther bought a 2 year old 1955 Customline sedan in 1957. I didn't know Ford had so many different commercial bodies on the A model commercial chassis. I still have dreams of a hotrod truck based an A model commercial chassis with 3 axles and 6 wheels. I am running out of time, so I won't hold my breath.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!
Fantastic collection of film clips...I Love seeing these trucks brand new.
If you had the money, I can understand getting excited about a new Model A !
Glad you enjoyed it
Old good days before strart of chaos 😮😢
Outstanding
Glad you liked it!
I can’t thank you enough for making this video. I’m obsessed with the Model A, but specifically their A trucks and AA fleet. However if you look at the market for model A’s, trucks seem scarce, be it replacement parts, or complete trucks ready to be purchased. It’s kinda sad.
Glad you enjoyed it! These trucks were used and abused when new and their survival rate beyond their initial life cycle is much lower than that of Model A cars. They're still out there and it seems every year some new rare bodystyle is pulled out of long term storage. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the history lesson. Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it! We thought it was a lesser known part of the Model A's history and wanted to share it.
I like model a trucks. Great video.
We do too! Thanks for watching.
Woow! Good docufilm!
Thanks for watching! We know this story isn't all that widely known so we did the research and put this together.
I always thought it was kind of funny how the Model T helped win WW1 and its direct replacement did the same in WW2 in Soviet form despite a 20+ year gap. Just goes to show their longevity and ruggedness
Ford A truck was/is the for father of the GAZ AA truck. Ford was in many ways ahead of marketing before others decided to step into truck and special vehicles production.
Agreed! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Despite all the sizes and colors available--they all had the same little flathead four-cyl. engine--I cringe to think how those little engines labored with a loaded semi-trailer or a 3-axle dump!
There was some very well thought out gearing in the transmission and rear ends to help them move a load. Thanks for watching!
