A vacation in a foreign land
Uncle Sam does the best he can...
*oh ohhhh*
You're in the Army now
Missile launcher firing over your head if you wanna survive get off your bed
I think this was the best war the U.S. had. Almost everything someone wants when it goes to war. Winning fast and low casualties (to your side). I guess 1991 was the year for you, USSR colapsed, suddently became a lone global power, every civilization has its era.
Too bad it only lasted about a decade...
The future brings new challenges, no one can rest on their laurels forever. The free world is under threat again. America, as the flagship of this world, must be ready to fight like never before, because the game is getting harder every day, and the stakes are high. The path of America is difficult, but only she is able to pass it. Believe me, the more difficult the test she has to go through, the stronger she will become. Life is a struggle, the whole history of mankind is a struggle, the one who looks into the future and creates it wins. Memories of past successes are wonderful, but they should not burden us, but inspire us to new feats.
@@this_is_js Amen to that
@@this_is_js you lot are so brainwashed
@@this_is_js The challenge the the United States faces now is probably the greatest challenge it will face. But if we succeed, we will come out stronger than ever, with no foreseeable competitors this time. Coming out of the collapse of the USSR, it was pretty obvious China would be our next challenge; if China is successfully dealt with, i cant see any other country that will take the place of the 'big bad powerful' bad guys. We will truly reach the peak of Pax Americana. We have to do all we can to make sure we succeed.
"4th largest army? Give us a couple weeks."

The Korean War may have been the Forgotton War, but Operation Desert Storm is the Forgotton Operation. The guys who ran this were absolutely flawless. Fourth largest army in the world to fourth largest in Iraq.
I didn't know that
When it comes to stealing oil americans really work flawlessly
@@ey1615 they still have a long way to as they are not as good as muslims are at hoarding the oil to artifically raise the price and making opressive dictatorship
@@ey1615 this operation was started because Iraq had invaded Kuwait, America got support from pretty much everyone to intervene after the Iraqi government ignored a security council resolution
@@Kronos_LordofTitans It was started because Kuwait was slant drilling Iraqi oil fields(stealing oil).
Kuwait, apparently, had better American Ju-Ju so America sided with them over Iraq who they had backed against Iran in the 70s.
I am a Chinese, and I clearly remember the impact of this war on China. At that time, the United States represented a kind of hope to us, and to the Communist Party, it was a target of catching up. Subconsciously, we all recognized the greatness of the United States.
As someone who has lived through the end of that era, I am reluctant to admit that America is America now
China has been moving ambitiously to match the US. its pretty obvious to see that China sets the USA as a benchmark, they view them as an idol to which they model themselves after. No where is this more obvious than by looking at the capabilities the Chinese military has been seeking to acquire. They're making their own equivialnts of the F-35 (J-31), the F-22 (J-20), they're making a CATOBAR aircraft carrier, a stealth bomber akin to the B-2 (H-20) it goes on and on. They are not like the Russians who seek to go their own way. They want to prove that they too can do what the US does. Afterall imitatation is the sincerest form of flattery.
*ah yes the america here is made out of america*
@@sevrent2811 Russia is far too poor to be a true superpower. They are just a middle power. They can’t afford to try to compete with the US and they don’t have the technological capability to do it either. Their economy is even smaller than Canada or Italy
this is true. Americans have an opinion of the Russian Federation as a superpower only because of the Soviet Union, but in reality Russia is only a regional power. Even its military doctrine is focused on defense and its maximum sphere of influence does not extend far beyond its borders. the same goes for economic influence. Moreover, it becomes economically dependent on China (due to the lack of choice, it sells raw materials to China very cheaply and buys goods from it very expensively), which certainly does not make it a world-class state. it also has a demographic crisis and its population is relatively small. one of the few only forces that the Russian Federation has left is nuclear weapon
We are the remnants of a generation raised for a world that no longer exists.

Operation Desert Storm - most successful military operation in the history of world youll dont understand how massive this was and how good the US fought
My dad served in Desert Storm. But the role he was in was one of the most important: making sure the propulsion systems for the warships could get the ships where they needed to be.
The job of a snipe (which my dad was) is so viable to a warship’s performance and yet so underappreciated…
I completely agree with you there mate. Those ships providing support for the land troops was heavily dependant on the Blokes and women working round the clock to get the ships up into the Middle East.
This Video has Such a cool atmosphere
Thank you for constantly providing us with great videos!
That victory parade, seeing the army marching through the streets is so nostalgic right now.

I'm really impressed and motivated by the pic where the soldier stood on a ruined armored vehicle. To me, it's like a symbol of the end of the war

The best video about Gulf war I've ever seen
Felt like I went back in time. Great edit! Also loved the added BRRRT of the A-10 in there
I remember old in TV. Excelent video👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤩😁🥰
US power was so absolute and overwhelming, rendering resistance so utterly futile, and yet so slick, so clean and surgical, so terrifyingly cold with its angular tanks, computer screens and spaceship-like fighter-stealth-bomber-paraphernalia that some folks entertained the conspiracy theory that the American govt had struck some kind of tech-transfer agreement with a superior alien civilization. It was an in-your-face demonstration of serene superiority, a picnic to celebrate victory in the Cold War - and it was gorgeous.
Old Memories..I Was in my 20
All Days and Nights attached to the TV set praying US Troops and other coalition forces involved like Italy return back home asap safe.. Remember the fighter Tornado Panavia that was shot down and the crews Ten. BELLINI and COCCIOLONE captured by the Iraqis
Hell, yeah, K SCG! Using lost years music and the combo of this imagery brings the absolute splendor of the US quickly closing it's fist on oppression. All power to the fight

So many many deaths, for so little, and yet, such an impact on the modern world... I was born after Desert Storm, and before 9/11. I am thankful that the US did not grow to become the overlord of the world, and still, feels like the fall of something like the roman empire
