I remember watching this when it actually aired, I was left in such awe by Mya’s performance that I’m still watching it in 2019. Very good performance. I think MTV only did like two of these ICON shows, but really should’ve done more. The other one was Aerosmith, and if you thought this performance was memorable; you should check out Train’s performance of Dream On from their ICON show.
Mya slayed this with ease. Her movement was fluid and not to mention she was BY HERSELF and entertained the entire way through. POWERHOUSE. GO OFF NIECEEEEEE

There also aren't many who sing r&b and soul, because it's primarily dominated by black singers. Also, Pink is in her own category and will always be badass because she can cross over various genres of music and do it with ease even though she started in R&B. How you take it is up to you.
