Wow! Yanis’s work plastering is absolutely beautiful. He has been a one-man powerhouse with anything he’s asked to do. Simon is a wonderful teacher ❤️❤️
Simon IS a wonderful teacher, and Yanis is an excellent student. The best of teachers can’t do so much with an unmotivated student. And when they started, Yanis had very little English, while Simon’s French was no better. Teaching a trade across a language across a language barrier, to this level of skill is an amazing accomplishment.🖤🇨🇦
The music was outstanding and blended perfectly with the master craftsmen at work. Yannis has acquired a pair of work overalls and looks very professional. Congrats to Michael on raising finances to help with the kitchen renovation. Hats off to Team Petherick. 🙏❤️🎩
Yannis is someone who really appreciates being taught a trade. You can tell in the way he works. Thanks Simon. You are a hero. You too Billy. Not everyone gets a chance.
Michael has done a fantastic job sticking with sealing the patio above the old kitchen. That is some kind of dedication. Restoring the organ as well!! Great jobs Michael!!!
WOW! The Chateau kitchen is looking better and better! Yanis is doing an amazing job! Michael and Rick are doing a great job on the terrace. Billy, you are doing a fantastic job of filming all the different projects! Kudos EVERYONE!
He did get to watch Simon do the curved window arches in the convent kitchen…he watched everything Simon did like a hawk. I saw him doing the same with Mick when he was repairing that stone wall in the library, Yanis stood just behind and to the side watching Micks hands and how he placed the small rocks and mortar to stabilise the wall.🖤🇨🇦

Yanis, I think Simon is so proud of the really nice work you are doing in the kitchen. You're doing a great job considering you learned not so long away 👍
Just go's to show how a great teacher with a great student willing and eager to learn can come together and achieve satisfaction for both parties. Well done Simon and Yanis! Love It!
@@deborahreynolds1552And they did it across a language barrier. Yanis’ English keeps getting better, and I’m sure Simon’s French has also improved. But a lot was learned by Yanis watching so carefully, and Simon occasionally guiding Yanis’ hand and arm to the correct angle and motion when he saw it wasn’t quite right. They are a perfectly matched Master and Apprentice.🖤🇨🇦
I was just going to comment when the camera was on Yannis doing the ceiling that Simone must be so proud of Yannis. And then towards the end, Billy made the comment that he spoke with Simone and that he just confirmed just that. Well done Yannis. I think it is always a proud moment for a teacher when they see their students excel. We all have watched Yannis grow and excel at everything he has put his mind to and I can say from my perspective that I am also very proud of this young man.
Congrats to Yannis on plastering those exceedingly difficult arches in the kitchen ceiling. Looks great. Great musical selection today...whistle while you work. Great to see you persevering on the patio. That takes the patience of Job, but the result is perfection and permanently enduring.
Bravo Yanis. The ceilings of the kitchen are amazing . I am glad to see you in those blue overalls , You are a credit to yourself for your concentration and dedication to your new craft and the guidence of Simon in teaching you, Time will bring its own reward. Billy. Loving the new close quarter shots you were filming of everyone and work and play. Well done on keeping things fresh and exciting, The music too.
I was re-watching some of Sadie’s old videos yesterday . There was one of a very young looking Yanis when he first arrived at the convent to help out as a friend - and he worked like a Trojan even then!😄. 100 mph
I fall into the Michael camp, I don't do mornings. Kitchen ceiling is looking great, well done Yannis. Rick you are a treasure and Billy as always well done with the filming.
Great job filming Billy! I think Michael and All are enjoying this work set up. Lots of fun watching the progress at the Chateau and the Library at the Convent. Gwen must be happy that more things are getting done at home! Bravo👍🏻
Hello EVERYONE!! What an enjoyable video. The filling in the gaps of the tiles is a slow task, but will be well worth the effort when finished. Yannis is really showing his skills and knowledge in working with the plastering, well done! Rich has such an infectious smile and is working well in a steady fashon. The kitchen is gradually being transformed = wonderful! Best wishes from Lincolnshire!
Yes, it is lovely to see Michael smiling and laughing again. I think he really enjoys having others to work with, and chances to do his drawings to share with others, and bring in money to help cover some of the restorations. He is excited to have that kitchen matching his vision for it…and he knows it must start with waterproofing the terrace.🖤🇨🇦
I love what Yanis is doing with the kitchen ceiling. I saw him move into the chateau for more plastering and knowing the convent is waiting, I figure the plastering will go on forever. Hope the rain will back off long enough to get that terrace sealed!
It is amazing to see that dark damp room come to life, it is looking fantastic. Everyone is doing an amazing job. I must say that the music for each vlog is wonderful.
Kitchen ceiling is looking great. Yanis is doing very well and Michaels surface sealing is tremendous…Rick a real plus toward the ultimate finished room and water tight kitchen. Loving the channel, and various personalities, from PA, USA.
The music was perfect to highlight all the artistry happening above and below in the kitchen. Michael’s precision with every brush stroke, and Yanis’ care with the curved ceiling-great work, and great editing.
Poor Michael! On his hands and knees working in that heat and sun! Billy you should have got your dear ole brother portable stand umbrella for shade support and a fan.
Those boys are having the best childhood one could hope to have as a foundation on which to build a happy and balanced future adult. We will see them getting practical opportunities as soon as they are old enough to want to learn what the adult men in their lives all do. We have already seen them daubing paint on a wall in the kitchen, albeit with more enthusiasm than skill…but it’s in their genes.🖤🇨🇦
Yannis has done an amazing job, Rick and Michael are almost done the patio outside. Its moving along, can't wait to see what the kitchens going to look like. I will purchase more prints at the end of the month.
I’ve been thinking about those small “windows” in the ceiling of the kitchen, and seeing the design of the whole square that’s around them I bet they were bigger in the past. I don’t know if you get what I mean, but maybe you could try to make them bigger and that would let much more light in!
Billy, lovely music throughout the video! Yannis, great work~ you are Blessed to have these opportunities to work these jobs, and the Chateau/Convent crew are Blessed to have you working on them!! Gwen needs to be smiling from ear to ear!! So enjoy watching all your work everyone is doing! Thanks!!

Welcome back and Happy Monday Billy and crew! I hope that you all had a lovely weekend! I'm glad to see Rick helping Michael out with the roof sealing. So much technical precision required for what looks like a simple job. Meanwhile, Yanis is amazing, but he needs a haircut!
Ha ha yes my grandson asked me why he has a microphone hairstyle,🤣 what did I say? and he said grandma, that's what you call a lump of yarn that looks like an outdoor microphone. Okay, yes, he should probably get it styled a bit so he has an easier time looking after it with all the dirt and dust he constantly gets. Children are funny and we got to talk a bit about different hair types😂🎙🎙
I don’t think he needs a haircut, unless HE wants one. He keeps it short at the nape and around the ears so it can’t get caught in any power tools, and frequently has a hat covering his curls. He’s young, and they have their own sense of style. It’s not hurting anyone.🖤🇨🇦
great video and comments also by Michael; it must be challenging to work on yet another kitchen, but you are all becoming veterans of the whole process perhaps! once again thank you for your beautiful artwork; it blesses my apt. xo

Yannis is doing an amazing job plastering the kitchen ceiling. The fact it is a curved ceiling makes it even more stunning on how well a job he is doing. i am truly impressed at his skill. Simon taught him well.
Simon has reason to be proud; Yanis is demonstrating many of the well developed hand movements and trowel controls that we saw as Simon caressed the walls at the Convent. Btw, Yanis is pretty spectacular himself, bringing lots of energy and intelligence to the work. Well, it's his now and well it should be. Michael, I think they need to be painted a contrasting color as well. Too easy to miss them and crash into them if the columns are the same color as the tiles.
Plastering a curved ceiling has got to be one of the toughest things to do. Yannis is amazing! There’s a lot of strength in those lean arms!
Watching how well he's mastered the touch of his tools is unreal 😁
To plaster walls is one thing, but that ceiling oh my gosh, what a feat! Marvelous young man!
I can hear Simon proudly saying “that’s my boy’ with a big smile on his face as he watches Yannis doing a great job of the plastering. 🤗
He's the new Michelangelo with a trowel!
I love hearing the scrapping of the tools and chatting with birdsong in the background.

It's already getting hard to remember how bad the kitchen looked before all this work was done. Can't wait to see it finished!
The columns should absolutely be that original gray color; if they're too light they're likely to get banged and scratched and look dirty too quickly.
And those tiles won’t get any whiter, so if the columns are too light the tiles will just look dirty, as Michael said.🖤🇨🇦
