- Dining at a Wagyu specialty restaurant in Kyoto Japan where you have an amazing view!
We ordered Sukiyaki course for the first part and Oiru Yaki (pan fried steak) course for the second part.
Both of these are cooked by a server in a Kimono (traditional Japanese garment) at your table!
Moritaya @ Kyoto Station
Budget: $35~$99+usd a person
You can always tell by how popular the place is and that it will be slightly more expensive when the menu is mostly English.
Well...
Popular with tourists that is
That my friend…sound like a fricking tourist trap.
The place probably has two menus, one in Japanese and one in English. Dancing probably chose the English menu for his video.
@@jpbaley2016 most likely, but that fact it has a nice separate menu in English STILL shows that it’s a popular tourist destination, both foreign and local tourists
I might be late, but all the same, major congrats on 3 million subs! Thanks for taking us with you, and sharing both of your experiences with all of the delicious food, in all of the lovely places you've traveled to ☺️
You're pretty early, quite ambigous to an anti slacker in my condolences.
Thank you so much!
@@DancingBacons Have you guys been able to find places that serves the rarest wagyu beef there is? Olive wagyu, I read they only have about 2k cattle they raise at 1 time
I'll watch this tonight after work
Half the delight of watching is seeing how much Mrs Bacon enjoys the food ❤
Oh you can see she enjoys her food.
I don't really like when she smiles like that. For some reason it creeps me out. It feels very forced for me. I dunno..
Happy three million, Hope this carries on for the next three million and let's hope that there will be more restaurants just like this one!!!
Three million very well deserved subscribers. 💖💖
Congrats on 3 million subs!!! Thanks for continuing to take us on your journeys.
The view itself was wonderful.
The meals themselves were expensive(mainly the lunch) but well worth it. The quality was there.
Thank you for sharing.
Not really big on them leaning over me to cook something in front of me. If they plan on cooking then the hot plate should be over to the side.
Looks good! I don't think i could ever bring myself to eat raw egg, regardless of all the good things I've heard!
It's amazing mixed into cooked rice....you should give it a go. Worst case scenario, you have a little vomit & you have to throw out an egg and a cup of rice. You might surprise yourself though & like it🤷♀️😂
I agree, I have tried it before and frankly it is just as disgusting as you imagine, it is like someone made you a delicious meal and then blew snot all over it.
I guess if you are someone who liked eating boogers as a kid it may appeal 🤢
Congratulations on 3 million! I watch your videos with my dad all the time, it's like a tradition 😊 Please never stop posting!!
That all looked so good! I'd feel a bit odd letting them cook it for me, but then again? They can cook it better than me, so why not? As usual, Mrs. Bacons' yum yum face was a delight to behold!
The steak looked great but the veggies were pretty lame.... Like just giant chunks of veggies over cooked on the outside and undercooked deep inside? No seasoning just dunked in a sauce after the fact?
The veggies seem like an after thought...
After learning a bit recently about how expensive fruit is I bet the fruit plate at the end probably cost nearly half of the dinner. but dang even that grape looked amazing.
We will be in Kyoto in two days, I know where we'll be having lunch! We're currently in Hiroshima.
Thank you as always DancingBacons!
A 150+ year old restaurant is insane
Only to Americans 😊
That's actually quite young for a lot of Asian businesses, I follow a Japanese barber channel, the guy that runs it now who looks like to be in his early 30's is like 5th generation running it, he inherited it from his father who go it from his father who got it from his father etc etc
Owariya, also known as Honke Owariya, is the oldest restaurant in Kyoto, Japan. It was founded in 1465 and is currently owned by Ariko Inaoka, who follows in the tradition of her father and grandfather. The restaurant's specialty is traditional buckwheat noodles called soba, and it uses the "freshest" Kyoto spring well water to make its soup broth. Japan's royal family has been known to eat at the restaurant. Owariya is located near Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace, approximately 5 minutes' walk from Karasuma-oike Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway. The restaurant has a quaint, old-fashioned atmosphere that attracts many foreign and Japanese tourists.
@@TheFrenchmanCooks I know all of that and plenty more. What’s your point, Frenchie? Not that I really care since you were so far off with your basic assumption.
Kyoto sure seems like an interesting place. Hope y’all stay safe.
👍
I love your content and the places you visit are beautiful. Thank you for the videos and can't wait for the next one.
Wow, that view is amazing and great food to match, what a joyful place!
The food looks good!
I would not want my meal cooked at the table like this. I feel like it would be awfully distracting and I would not be able to enjoy my meal properly between a staff member constantly being there and the pressure I'd feel to eat the food as it's cooked.
I never miss a video thanks for uploading so consistently over the past few years
The food looks amazing and I’m sure it was. I would much rather cook my own food however since I feel it takes away from any romantic atmosphere you may have been going for. Just my opinion is all.
Another amazing meal! Love munching out while also watching you guys enjoy yourselves!
I am always so happy to see DancingBacons posted!! My favorite videos to watch before going to bed!! ^^
17:31 Not an eggplant but a zucchini. All looks so tasty.
That was eggplant. Zuchini skin is green. Eggplant is dark violet color.
You two must be the biggest consumers of wagyu beef in the world 😂
I love how much you both enjoyed it!
Congrats on 3 million. Food looks great
Daging dan sayuran yang lezat ❤
Dimasak langsung diwajan yang panas , sangat nikmat saat dimakan ❤
The finest Wagyu beef should be experienced at least once in your life. It is out of this world.
Parece tudo otimo❤❤
Wow! This LOOKS AMAZE!
What a beautiful sky!!!
Best channel on CZcams!!! Long live DancingBacons!!!
Great video. Loved it. Made me so hungry. Thank you!
Was waiting for it!
Such a cozy meal, would be best during the cold winter months ^^
Gratz on the 3mil subs and thanks as always for the great videos 😊hope you both had a lovely time here!
such a pretty view!
I did the math with an online calculator, and this place has been in business for 154 years!
There's a restaurant in Kyoto that makes this restaurant seen like a new born. Goes all the way back to 1465. Owariya, also known as Honke Owariya, is the oldest restaurant in Kyoto, Japan. I love watching your videos ❤ and the food looks so good
Definitely enjoyed this video. Awesome 😊
I have some friends who live in Kyoto and they are posting very beautiful autumn photos this week! ❤
These videos give me such a bad case of wanderlust. Here's to hoping I can go to Japan when I planned.
tasty beef + raw egg + rice=delicious comfort food
I cannot WAIT to go to Kyoto next June!
Love Wagyu...the tower across from you at your feast looked like a Holy Cross!
Babe, wake up. There's a new dancing bacons hotpot video

I love your videos they are very soothing to watch
The more I see these vids the more i wanna visit
Everything looked amazing, love the glass bottle ginger ale
oo looks good!
One day, I will travel and eat in Japan
Please take my word for it that it is such a magical and relaxing place. I went in 2019 with 7 friends and it was undoubtedly the most fun and most dramaless away from home thing I have ever done. Food was amazing, environment was amazing, everything about Japan is seriously amazing. Please please visit it some day. I also highly reccomend coco curry house and Ichiran ramen food places. I had coco curry house probably 10 times in my 14day stay because it was that good. 😂
It's so crazy to me that people can eat raw eggs in other countries. I'm so jealous.
The risk is very low to get salmonella poisoning from raw egg. During the salmonella peak it was 1 in 20,000 eggs that were contaminated. But its less now.
I dont eat raw egg regularly but if im baking or making omelettes i dont mind eating raw or undercooked egg. As long as you arent consuming a massive amount of eggs per year the risk is very low. But better safe then sorry.
Egg is a huge part of japanese cuisine so they have to ensure eggs are safe while in other countries raw egg isnt part of our cultures.
Good view and the food looked really good!
Parece tudo otimo 👍👍❤❤
This looks super delicious 😍
To see your wife's smile everyday, makes you one of the luckiest men on earth. 🤠

Amazing 🤩
So much yum and big congrats!
A few things I give Japan credit for and that is their healthy food options are very affordable, even for the poor. They also have many different ways of cooking and preparing those healthier food options to make them into desired tastes and meals without making them unhealthy to the point they are high is calories, high in unhealthy fats, etc... though I notice they do tend to use a lot of salt. In any case wish the U.S. would put more emphasis on making every day heathy options cheap. As always, love seeing Mrs. Bacon.... her face reactions always make me smile.
If you call nearly $400 affordable you definitely arent poor !
Completely agree with Japanese healthy food. I adapted my diet to Japanese cuisine a year ago and my blood values are better than ever. But unfortunately many typical japanese things like bonito or vegetables are very expensive here in germany or rare to find.
@@stevethepomjapan does have cheap option but still healthy. but not the one on this video. this is something for you if you want to splurge
Sorry im late for 3 million subs but… CONGRATS!!!🎉🎉🎉
Sukiyaki is my favorite❣️🥰😋
The grill top makes her have to reach and lean way over to cook your food🧐. You’d think the grill would be a bit closer to the end of the table or maybe she just needs very long sticks for cooking🤷♀️. The meal and view looks fabulous!
Sepertinya enak Sukiyaki❤❤
Omg the camera angle in this video was perfect
Congratz on 3m! Watching you since600k! (:
Love seeing new things popping up, look like a blast ❤, I hope to one day be like you and visit some of these places. Here in Canada our food isn't the same.
Congrats on 3 million 👏 🙌 🥳🎉
I feel like if I would eat there, I'll go for another round/s. The expensive and precious meat, I want more 😅
Looks so good! These dishes could use a fun wine pairing! 🤤 Do you guys even indulge in a beer or glass of wine ever anymore?
Yaaaay new vid
Maravilha um video novo do dancing bacons para finalizar meu fim de Domingo, saudações meu amigo. 🤝🇧🇷
Nice view ❤
$120 for that💀, that amount can keep me fed thrice a day for 2 months
Удивительное приключение, спасибо:)
Yess
man, that long hair on the plate, killed it

Me: reading a comment about you watching Dancing Bacons enjoy beef at one of the finest restaurants in Osaka
dancing bacons experienced a "taste-splosion", Dancing bacons never recovered....
It looks so good, but as an American I dont think I could do the raw egg.
You can tell a place is fancy in Japan if all they serve for dessert is a plate of fruit.
I feel it to be a bit lazy
Nice
Just made sukiyaki in home, now I am wondering what to mix in again
Your lady always looks so happy to receive delicious food. Makes my day.
Yummy
Is the number Five a lucky number in Japan?, Like having to five plates to play the game at the Sushi shops?
me eating my instant noodle watching this
Yumm😊 13:54
I am surprised it didn't cost more. That is very reasonable compared to how much they would charge here.
❤❤❤❤
yummy
Wow this is the first time I've seen sukiyaki done with such little soup/broth. Very interesting, is this how they usually have it in Japan?
it may differ from region to region. Sake is added too 👍
