Wow, Thank you!!
Thank for the info
How about diesel 2.2 crdi hyundai oil consumption do they have pcv?
I installed an oil catch can between the pcv and intake. You wouldn't believe the amount of oil it catches.
The pcv valve is not doing to fix this. That oil/carbon you see on those valve stems is because of direct injection mostly. You’d have to redesign the entire PCV valve system, install different piston rings, and then hope and pray that the bottom end of these engines aren’t eating themselves up due to oil starvation to the connecting rod journals/bearings.
Replaced my PCV valve, after 650 miles I thought I fixed the issue. 250 miles later I was magically down half a quart of oil. Topped it off, 300 miles later, down another half a quart.
No signs of blow by other than losing oil.
Small oil pan gasket leak, nowhere near enough to explain the amount I'm losing and how quickly.
No signs of a valve cover leak.
Spark plugs could do with replacing, but there's no signs of a bad tube seal anywhere.
I'm not overdue, I changed it last month, 1150 miles ago. I'm at a loss and about to trade this POS in.
Same problem here...this is how I stopped it completely...16 oz of MMO oil plus half of Rislone engine treatment..drove for a 1000 miles..oil burning gone. not one drop.
PCV Valve does not fix this issue.
That won't fix the oil burning on these 2.4 Kia and Hyundai engines. It's the rings. Poorly made engines. They suck!
Ok got to be honest when you said modern cars last longer and old cars usually only made 60 to 100 thousand miles I decided to find somebody else's video because that's some serious far out bs opposite most modern cars are lucky to make 100k wtf 😂
My 2004 Cavalier is still going strong ....I would prefer vehicles no newer than 2011 models. Can't trust new vehicles cause quality has really come down to increase companies profit margins to pay inflated CEO wages and pay for buybacks to increase stock prices.
