Watch This Before Buying a Solar Filter - Measuring For Solar Filters

In this short video, we highlight key points to remember when buying a solar filter. Measure twice, buy once! When measuring be sure to measure at the widest part of your telescope or binoculars body. Filters will denote sizing differently depending on the brand, but often will call out an outer diameter fit in a range of millimeters or inches. You may also find filter brands that provide an inner diameter fit range. Filters that use this sizing can be mounted to the inside edge of the optical body.
