Thank you Pam. All of these little insights give us better understanding of Tony and his wonderful music. God bless you and your family during this difficult time.
A intimate look at Tony being awesome. I was blessed to speak with him a few times. What a gentleman. Always directing a young musician to practice and be approachable. God bless you Mrs Rice and your family. In my prayers.
@@ShockwaveZero Some famous musicians aren't approachable. Give everyone a minute. Could be excellent for you and the person wanting a minute of your time. Everybody deserves a little time.
Thank You Pam ! ! ! We Love Tony SO MUCH ! ! ! (Love you too , Lou ! ! ) You guys have brought so much joy to my heart over the years with your music . God Bless and Keep His Children ......
That beautiful, soulful lick Tony plays here [which he's not satisfied with!] reminds you so much of the contribution he has made and the talent he possesses. For TR fans there is a new posting of him at Strawberry '86 on CZcams,a must see!
Thanks for sharing your interesting perspective. I wonder how you and Tony are doing these days, and if his tendonitis (?) has calmed down any? When I saw him playing for a moment in the video then shaking out his hand I can understand how he might have felt. I used to play a lot myself. But, very long story, I quit and after reinventing myself a couple of times wound up in nursing for a time. At any rate, would like to recommend this gentle little salve I've been familiar with for many years. It's called Country Comfort Herbal Savvy. They make a couple of different kinds. I'd recommend the comfrey and aloe one for the area of Tony's soreness. Comfrey has some very interesting healing qualities. I would have to review myself, but I know to respect it as a potent herbal healing remedy, so use sparingly. As you might know, aloe vera is a healing herb used by the native americans for millennia, and another important ingredient here is St. John's wort, in this case an anti-inflammatory. No matter your current status, this is a very useful little tool to have in your proverbial first aid tool box. You can use this salve for all kinds of minor scrapes, etc. It shouldn't be too expensive. Depending on how Tony's feeling these days, I'd have no clue, but you might consider making a poultice with this salve, use a clean washcloth, clean, warm water and wrap around the area of soreness after applying a little salve. Make sure you wash the area first. You don't need to glop it on, just a nice reasonably thin layer. Many years ago, I got a walloping case of poison oak. I was recommended similarly to make a poultice by dissolving baking soda (a lot) in some warm water, then wrapping the saturated washcloth around the affected area. This should work for poison ivy, too. This is a messy deal, best done outside or in a bathtub or something. But you keep splashing the cloth with the baking soda solution. For about 30 minutes 🙂. It draws out the poison oak and reduces inflammation. Poison oak is a similar concept to tendonitis, which is inflammation of the tendons. The medical name for a poison oak infection: contact dermatitis, inflammation of the skin. I'm almost of a mind to recommend you try some baking soda solution with the comfrey salve, but not sure this would be appropriate. Try just the salve first, and do some research on these herbs, if you're not familiar with them already. Well, guess I've written a small novella here, just trying to help. I'd recommend this little salve to anyone as an excellent all-around remedy. I like it for tendonitis because I think it might provide some relief. Try say, 3X in a week, maybe for a week or 2 and see how it feels. Use common sense and your own discretion. It's gentle, should not be hurtful in anyway. Just be mindful that comfrey can be strong - careful not to overdo. Educate yourselves. Can you say more about what he meant by being approachable?
