I always look forward to my Saturday Retro fix. R.I.P Ozzy, you were a very good dog.
RIP Ozzyfractic........no I'm not crying.....just have something in my eyes ❤️❤️
Congratulations on Minifractic! Give him all the best memories so he/she can have their own nostalgia channel in 40-50 years. Just threw in a tiny donation for the baby car seat.. which I hope will have a few rides in KITT from time to time!
Thank you so much for the donation. It genuinely helps make a difference! We really appreciate all the support and feel very lucky 🙏
I believe we learned she will be a she, in the last one; but please correct me if I'm wrong!
Congratulations! You're on the journey of a lifetime to be filled with unbelievable memories, tears, laughter, and everything else that life can bring: the Foenix is interesting. Oh, congratulations on the baby, too. 😀
Bahahahaha!
Aaaah!! Thanks for featuring my homebrew project! 💖 Congrats on your homebrew mini you two (mostly lady Fractic) are working on right now.
Thanks and nice work!
How pleased was Christian with his madness pun, ladyfractic totally unaware of the gem she missed 😂
I used to play World of Warcraft with a Danish kid from the city of Århus (Aarhus since 2011 sadly, I bemoan losing these lovely glyphs ...) Anyway, most times he jumped on to Teamspeak (yeah was ages ago!) Some of us would burst into song after TS announced has entered the channel" and we'd sing "... In the middle of our street".
I don't think he got it either, but he was only 13 at the time ... This was during the original release of the Burning Crusade, so quite a while back 🤯🤓
Basil is just too cute and clever. Has anyone seen some of the recent C64 demos that are floating around? They totally boggle my mind the C64 really was the machine that could.
Sorry to hear about OzzyFractic RIP
give Puppyfractic a big hug from all of us.
You guys were so fluid and natural in this episode, a proper laugh from Lady F made my day as did your comments on my room recreation - "his game is called Crap I mean Cramp" 😂😂😂😂😂 priceless (you were probably right the first time.!)
Ahahahaha! I doubt it. Glad you liked this one sir Tim the Cook and thank you for the contribution
Looking forward to see that Foenix, especially the 1591 drive
"Is it Knightrider?" We all thought it. Tone included.😅
Congrats to you both with your Mini Fractic 👶
Oh no... Poor Ozzy. It's never easy when a friend crosses the Rainbow Bridge.
Don't worry,we haven't forgotten Gavin Sykes
*GAVYN!
@@RetroRecipes
Sorry.
oops George Lucas will strike me with lightning now
It is a common regional pronunciation, like "axe" for ask.
The circle freeway around Cincinnati is I-275. That's what we call it, except when we just say 275.
Fun Fact: I-75 crosses the Ohio in downtown Cincinnati. Parts of it existed before the interstate highway system was developed in the 50s. Back then it was called the Mill Creek Expressway, and ran right past the GE engine plant during WW2.
Also when Ladyfractic says "we say _The_ 101 or _The_ 405", that's a SoCal thing. Can't speak for elsewhere in the US, but in NorCal we just say "you can take 80 to Sacramento" or "I drove down 101 to get here"... no "The" in front of the route names.
@@nickfifteen Interesting!
congratulations :) Matt here watching a dog, watching a dog, watching a dog, watching two humans and a dog, watching a dog. Awesome as always
Back in the days of the Pebble smartwatch, I had a watch screen of the Knight Rider comlink.
Also, for anyone in Sheffield (home of the National Videogame Museum) there will be a chiptune event on 26th August at Meltdown esports bar. It will be livestreamed. Please poke me if you want details.
Methinks that Puppyfractic is missing Ozzyfractic. ❤
The first officially licensed Knight Rider comlink watch replica was only available in the USA for a short period of time in 1983. A few were given away in the UK around the same time in LookIn . The original tooling was based on a readily available Radio Shack watch AM radio . Then a limited run of unofficial replicas were made a few years back with this mould and engraved backplate and now Doctor Collector got it licensed properly for the the Knight Rider FLAG agent box . An interesting history.
Thanks for that cool history! I am so sure I had one... long gone now of course. I wonder if it was from the mag.
@@RetroRecipes If I remember rightly, it was announced in the first KR cover issue to promo Season 2 which gave away Knight Rider stickers on the cover and it was a "first x people to write in with the right answers" competition and they had 100 to give away . . My friend got one and I was too slow :( . . Maybe you wrote in too.
"Lookin" did two more Knight Rider covers. One more in January 84 to launch the KR comic strip and the final one in '86.
Thanks for the shout-out, at the time of writing I am still waiting for my gallbladder op. Another great episode.
Jokes aside wishing you all the best mate 🙏
That Knightrider Lego was great. Quite a sizeable semi!
I beg your pardon!

Punched right in the feels again. I am SO sorry for the loss of your fur baby. They are every bit a member of the family and always take a bit of your heart with them when they cross the rainbow bridge. It never gets easier...
😂 The Wilhelm Scream... I heard that.
Needed a dose of joy tonight, thanks man. :) Plus any of your posts with Knight Rider in the title get an automatic like on start.. 😄
Congratulations to both of you, and your new baby Fractic on the way. from the South West UK to the U.S sending you thanks for your brilliant Retro Recipes site
Pondered hitting 'like' so quickly 2 m after video posted, but once Peri said "I think I know which one" of the Property bros. is dating Zoey Deschanel, had to hit the button.🤣
And hey Dan Goswick is mentioned @34:34 - I know a retro Dan G!
I live like 5 miles from the accident on 485. It took so long to finish we just call it “485.” No “the” no “i” we just kind of sigh and say “485…” LOL
Lady Fractic is looking great. Hope the person prototyping is proceeding comfortably. It’s a big job and I know my wife powered through some pretty rough times.
Keep up the great work. One of my favourite regular CZcams shows and a relaxing break from non-stop news and commentary.
I loved the Brady Bunch when I was a youngling in the late 80's and early 90's. I kind of watched it because my mother did, but I liked that it was still a good show. I'm pretty sure the Braduy's wood panel living room combined with my cousin's house is why I adore the idea of a wood panel living room now.... It's so cozy and homey. I'd love one set up with a good TV that can handle an Atari 2600 and an NES and SNES for the pure nostalgia and comfort of the vibe
Another bitter-sweet episode. Sorry for your loss guys!
It was cool finding a C64 in The Mandalorian. Not sure, but those other bits of prop next to it look a lot like the old 2.5" floppy disks that the later Sinclair machines used?
I watched John Wick II the other night and spotted a C64 (or possibly a VIC-20) in the scene where the main bad guy is putting out an open on him for 7 million.
The old girl keeps popping up!
Huge condolences to you all on the loss of Ozzy. A dog is a best friend forever.
There's a Denny's here in my home city of Christchurch, New Zealand... been here for years and years!
27:33 "See, the Knight Rider Historians didn't need to procure the real thing...they could have just built it out of Lego".... 🤣Indeed, I guess we went overboard! That's hilarious...keep 'em comin!!!
RIP Ozzyfractic😢 and congratulations on Junior!
I was wondering why the puppy was acting weird, thought it was the new human gestating. But the end credit explained and evoked instant tears. Sorry for your loss and happy for your work in progress!
Another great episode and congratulations future fractic is going to have a fun life with parents like you two. Enjoy every moment 0 to Primary 7 is in the blink of an eye.
So sorry about Ozzy 😢
I got chocolate milk up my nose after the cut away when someone was reminding us they were on Star wars 🤣 sorry to hear about ozzyfractic too, the goodest dog
Congrat's on the baby... Bluey is a good wholesome show, entertaining for kids and adults.
Wow the end of the show got me teary eyed. Sorry for your loss. Ozzy i am sure was more than a pet. He was part of the family. All the best and take care guys.
Awesome episode, you guys! Loving the clear tech~
RIP Ozzyfractic. Just lost one of our fur babies a week or two ago as well. Always hard to say goodbye... But keeping them in our memories helps them live on! And Ozzy will always be memorialized here on youtube!
Very sorry for your loss guys
@@RetroRecipes Very appreciated
Oh waw oh waw oh waw!!!
Congratulations guys!!! 🎉❤
(I missed the last episode - was building a log cabin in garden to house retroness....) xx
Techmoan did a video on transparent tech. Although his was mostly items made for prison.
I have just bought an evercade vs, then I saw the Foenix online and became interested in it, which brought me back to thinking about/wanting a retrocomputer like my old Commodore 64, which led me to find your show, then this episode with both the Evercade and the Foenix popped up, AND ITS CLEAR IM LIVING IN A SIMULATION!!!
Another great show, with both Ladyfractic, Perifractic and Puppyfractic. The tribute to Ozzyfractic had me tearing up.
That Phoenix Computer looks very interesting, so I am looking forward to the video on that. The Knight Rider Anime is very cool, as are the Lego Renders.
Congratulations again on Babyfractic, I think you will both make absolutely wonderful parents.
She is going to be the luckiest Mini Ladyfractic in the world.
Keep up the great work, and may you be blessed with all the good things life can give you.

Congratulations on becoming parents,i know you will have lots of cool retro things to show him/her as they grow up
especially your fantastic KITT car.I hope you will show them Knight Rider and that they will grow up loving the show just as much as you do,i am a HUGE Knight Rider fan.Imagine getting collected from school in KITT,all the other kids will be so jealous, yet amazed.
So sorry to hear about Ozzy.Once again congratulations on Babyfractic.
Congrats from all in good old Blighty on your news. 🎉🎉
Congrats! Fractic mini!
Dennie’s in Auckland - New Zealand is my favourite diner. Had many breakfasts 8pm at night or just late night snack visits.
BUNNY! Oh that's so good, I need to get an RR badge to see if they'll take it at my local Denny's, who gets the bill... do you? LOL.
Thank you Perifractic and Ladyfractic for the impromptu nostril hair competition portion of this episode immediately at the end of Funboxing. LadyFractic wins the award for Best Grooming! 😁

Thank you for your kind words! Means a lot 👍🕹
Awww.. I'm so sorry... Rest in peace, Ozzyfractic...
Awesome video 😎 👍🏻 (I’ve not watched it yet though but i know i’ll love it)
Loved this as always and dad jokes galore big congrats on the first issue as editor and hey not long before you have a new member for the show. I can't wait for the video on the Phoenix retro system F256k and how cool is it's look and who knew the world needed a wood trim C64 maxi. The piano outro music is just the best as well and yes I noticed just now at the end of this video 😆. As always i hope the rest of the weekend is a great one and am looking forward to what you put out next, so until then take care 🙂🙂
At the 11 minute mark you showed a Pepsi bottle. Bringing back memories when I was in HS. That was the like 77 - 81 so really retro. Those Schwarzenegger memes are so good. There are many of them and he does mention boobs in almost all of them. BTW, Congratulations on your future Baby. You have so many wonderful memories to make. Also take in and enjoy every day you can as it does go by so fast. I remember the birth of my twins like it was just last week and then BAM they're almost 31.
It's amazing how many people say the same. I would like to think that as I have such a tie to nostalgia, and wishing for the past, that I and we will savour the upcoming days and years all the more with awareness of that 🙏
"It's got a bloody 'H' in it". Nice, slightly modified, Eddie Izzard reference. 🙂
I had a black Razor and people always asked about it. The only phone that got more interest was the first gen iPhone.
Aww.... so sorry to hear about Ozzyfractic... :( We lost both our cats (of 15 years), and our Shih-Tzu (of 9 years) this last year. We only have our Yorkie left to rule the house. Great show as always.
Sorry to hear that. Thank you for your kind words.
@@RetroRecipes It's actually good you mentioned it in the video. Those of us with pets would have noticed the absence, otherwise. Love how you guys involve your puppy in the vide... not that you guys get much of a choice, haha.
If I went into that retro room I would probably faint! So amazing! This man has an amazing voice and better hair than Michael Knight
17:29 if you pause just right you can see blood vessels in the dog's eye.
Oooooooohh!
Not a bad guess… but we were at Bob Evans for a daddy/daughter day and we ended up making a quick video while we were there. Half planned/half impromptu fun!
Junie is so loving.❤️
Ahhh thanks for confirming! Junifractic has been particularly affectionate since Ozzyfractic left us, bless her See she's even petting these words!
Great show as always, folks. So sorry to learn of the loss of Ozzyfractic. I must admit, the "one and lonely" caption you gave Junifractic really tugged at the heart strings.
I love that charger so much! $79, though, ouch. At least it's a GaN model, and 3 ports.
Lost one of my furbabies a few weeks ago so know how you guys are feeling... New chapter for you both with the new addition coming though... Lots of love..
My favorite hold music!!! I have that file on my phone!
It's seriously good in'it?
Good to see the Retro Show to complete my nostalgia boost today, as I am just back from watching Indy 5.
Sorry to hear about Ozzyfractic :(
I'm suddenly seeing an LLM and some other bits hooked up to Kitt's audio system... 🤔
I remember Our House from The Young Ones. That was a great show.
@36:15 music actually sounds a bit like Davids song True Survivor in Kung Fury, just more metal and less 80's synth
20:36 I LOVE the Comlink unboxing! I once accidentally got into an accidental eBay bidding war with Mark Puette over one of the original-model AM Radio watches that the Comlink was based off of...and interesting story for another video perhaps! Nicely done!
Omg I love the c64 controller from last episode - this is must have .
Sorry I’m an episode off .
Thank you for your awesome contribution towards zzap 64 . Keep the faith .

Hey I am so happy for you guys!!! Congratulations on Minifractic!!! I always love your videos.
Sad to learn about Ozzy crossing the Rainbow Bridge. But hey! Congratulations on the new Perifraction!
Puppyfractic was so cute wanting to be close to Babyfractic ❤ I should start reading the current Zzap! 64 as I had a hand in helping to write the original. RIP Oliver and Roger 🙏

I did wonder where Ozzyfractic was during the video, and the ending was such a shock I actually cried a little.
Hopefully Joe from Knight Rider Historians will be able to get the Semi trailer (without breaking the bank) to look as good as she used to.

@@RetroRecipes ❤️😎
Thank you for pointing out the incorrect use of the apostrophe in ‘80s!
I'm seeing that kind of thing, even in professional publications. It grinds my gears. '80s is a contraction of 1980s. It isn't complicated.
Another common misuse of apostrophe's is to pluralize noun's. Why would you do that? I've seen a style manual that stated it's acceptable to do that with acronyms. Rubbish, I say. Simply capitalize the acronym and use a lower-case 's' (or 'es'): CPUs, ROMs, OSes. Don't overthink it.
@@Starchface I agree 100%. Drives me batty.

your star wars video sit down cabinet looks amazing so cool,,, I remember this game back in 80s 90s
Rip Ozzyfractic 😢
Hey guy, been watching since the pandemic and love the channel. I used to live in California and out there they do say "The 101" but I'm from Texas and in Houston I-45 is just know as "45" we don't use the "I" around here. In fact in some parts I-45 is also acceptably called "The Gulf Freeway" .
I had a Soundalong predicsor to the Walkman
I have some stuff from the 80s, and even then it had the apostrophe. They're following convention from the era.
I don't doubt you, but I also fear it was grammatical errors back then. Perfect grammar has never been a thing in history. I've researched it extensively. I have even been known to phone Oxford Dictionary to ask them questions that's how much of a nerd I can be 🤓
Here's what ChatGPT says FWIW:
The use of the apostrophe when writing decades has been the subject of much debate. However, the use has been largely consistent over the years, with most style guides recommending against the use of an apostrophe before the "s" when denoting decades.
The Chicago Manual of Style, for instance, advises writing "1980s" or "80s," not "1980's" or "80's." The Associated Press (AP) Stylebook, another widely accepted authority on writing and grammar, also recommends "1980s" or "80s."
That said, in informal writing and signage, you might occasionally see "80's," and some people may have been taught that way. It could be a misunderstanding of the rule for making singular nouns possessive, which does involve adding an apostrophe and an "s." But decades are not possessive, so they don't need the apostrophe before the "s."
The apostrophe is used before the numerical decade when it is abbreviated, such as in '80s, because it indicates omitted characters from the full year (1980s).
So, to summarize, while usage may vary, it's not correct to say that the rule used to be to write "80's" and has since changed to "80s". The rule has been pretty consistent over time and is determined by established style guides.
I don't see many retro computer videos cover Coleco computers or Texas Instruments TI99/4A
