As an Arabic speaker (Amharic and Arabic are about as closely related as English and Swedish) considering the equivalent Arabic words, the errors in translation seem somewhat logical. Here are some examples:
In Arabic (and Amharic I suppose) the adjective follows the noun, rather than the other way around as in English, so a literal translation would be States United of America.
The word "angel" in Arabic is pronounced Malak, and a "king" is pronounced "Malik". Both are written the same way, so it would make sense that the translation would get confused and translate "king" or "president" as "angel".

It goes up to 33 degrees; however, in "basic" Freemasonry, there's only 3; and the 1st and 2nd degrees are basically training stages. Everything from 4th degree up is done through various associated/affiliated orders (Order of the Royal Arch, (the modern recreation of the) Knights Templar, etc.).
