- In this video I give 3 simple tips on how to make your paintings work when using Photographs. These are: adjust your photo, think about how you are going to paint your photo using a central point of focus and interesting brushwork, and work from a distance photo. I use a tabby cat painting to help demonstrate and also show a time lapse video of how I painted it.
Thank you to @the_skokatt_crew for the beautiful reference photo.

Beautiful!
Lovely painting 😍
thank you
Your art is so beautiful. You are one of my favorite pet portrait artists on Instagram. I so appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos and also that you share your process. If you ever wonder, "is it worth it?", please know that it is. I can't thank you enough!
thank you for this lovely comment. I am really glad you enjoy the videos and my work 😀
This painting is one of my absolute favourites of yours. I wish I could buy it in your shop!
Your edges are fantastic. Thanks for the video.
no problem 😀
very great style. Your videos help me immensely. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as it looks to go from being in love with detail across the whole picture to focusing on the essentials and making it look like that. Best regards
stick with it though. I used to be a hyper realist but managed to teach myself to paint more loosely. Many years of practicing but it did get easier. I'm glad the video helped.
