- Hi there! Today I have something very special to share with you regarding our Starry Night cichlid. The Paratilapia sp. Marolambo. This fish is exhibiting some very unusual, very exciting behaviors. Let's check it out!
She is telling you, give her her own male and she will give you lots of babies. What gift to you. This is a beautiful fish. Everyone will want one!
Brilliant to see this. Great Video.
Fish knapped! Haha, that's so weird. Good catch
Ive been keeping aquariums & fish for decades & I have never witnessed this kind of behavior before. Kind of strange. Stuff like this really makes the hobby interesting!
Oh yea it was very strange!
Excellent!!
remarkable
never saw that
Thanks for checkin out my video Father Fish!
Aww the Paratalapia is being a great mama! : ) Very pretty fish with great parenting instincts!
Love that you have a Madagascar aquarium! 👌
The first time I saw my EB Acara move their fry, I was horrified! Then i was like, "Oh....I see what you did there!"
Thanks
What a wonderful world!✨
I know right!
I have two of them because of your old video you made. They are Beautiful fish. Love there personality.
So glad I helped you decide to get these amazing fish!
Very cool.
Thanks!
Wow I have definitely never seen that before.
Keep us posted to let us know if they continue to free swimming. It’s commonplace for many fish to even eat their own offspring so this is really unusual.
Will do!
very cool
Thanks!
Please keep posting what's the end result PLEEEZ 👍 thanks for sharing
Will do!
it's like you have a broody hen, but underwater....
Haha. I suppose so.
That’s awesome!!
Thank you!
I love your channel ,your fish room is fantastic,Samson I my favourite…I’m currently try to get my 8” fire eel to eat different foods as all he’ll eat is bloodworms and earthworms 👍
@@lee_1979 yea it can be tough to transition them, but I'm sure you'll get it there eventually. :)
That is freaking awesome to witness. Surrogating cichlid.
I thought so too! :)
Interesting video, let's see how far this goes with the adopted babies!
The Starry Night has continued protecting them, but it probably won't be able to find off the other fish forever. :(
Conservation - Even the Fish get it!
since you asked, this vid [George Mavrakis Super Amazing! Found A Lot Betta Fish, Goldfish & KOi Fishes in Rice Field Farm] talks about a breeder who routinely take the eggs away from bad parent discus and gives them to an ugly parent male discus who is a good father. apparently the beautiful parents are too high strung to raise their own babies. start the vid at 9:40.
