Don’t panic there is no chance of GP’s prescribing central heating because none of us can get an appointment to see one! I even have to monitor my own blood pressure and send in a week of readings. The surgery doesn’t do it. BTW even in your late 60’s don’t dare ask for a PSA test!!!!!

Paul Merton's made a whole career in "BBC Comedy" just through pulling faces- never anything witty said in his last 30yrs on the same show- "Have I Got Left Leaning News For You", The BBC is an expensive retirement home for failed comedians. I think Phill Jupitus once said something funny- but it went straight over his head.
The BBC has a million monkeys on a million typewriters, trying to write comedy, so occasionally by accident, something half funny comes up- though they still need the monkeys to tell them what it was.

I live in England and as a tot had to go to bed in a warm coat, gloves and hat, waking up with frost on inside of the windows, and snuggling up with the dog to keep warm.

It is also something the populous could do and would not be at the mercy of BoE policy. Of course I'm not blind to human nature and know this would never happen.
