- This video has been well overdue. I have heard a lot of people say that because of the production on And Justice For All, they don't like it. I think looking past the production and really hearing the level of skill and talent that was put into it, you can really see how this album is just as good as their first 3.
Here is my reaction to hearing Metallica - ...And Justice For All for the first time. I hope you enjoy it!

Man, don't apologize for what you're choosing to listen and react to! We're all here for whatever you're enjoying! (At least I am, I'm like an emotional vampire, I feed on others feelings)
People were talking smack about this album?!? This is my favorite album from my favorite band. Every song on this album rocks!!!
Only bass players complain and who cares about them?
I think the production and the sometimes bloated / overdone songwriting rubs some people the wrong way, but it’s still one of their best, regardless.
Funny. I’m a bass player, but that album is still amazing.
Numero Uno on my Mt. Rushmore Metallica albums. Always has been.
......to elaborate for the masses who hear not....THIS was the most doomed out/grooved out Metallica album.
You know what? I'm a 56 year old metalhead from Germany, and I really, really like your approach to Rock Music. It's a lot of fun to watch your videos. Just try and stay being yourself, it's worth a lot.
exactly
To Live Is To Die is a must listen off this album
This album is f'n great! They show they're more than just bangers, they're very technically skilled. That's what this album is, showing their talent. The changes are amazing.
the frayed ends of sanity is anoher amazing song from this album
This is personally my favorite Metallica album. IDGAF what others say, I was 16 when this came out and it blew my mind...it's definitely their angriest album. First album after Cliff died, James's anger is showing through, Lars tries to show how good of a drummer he can be because his father criticized his playing on earlier albums, this is just Metallica at their best. Nothing after this compares to the aggression and complexity.
You can definetly react more often to Metallica. I love it so much😂🤘
The fact that you rewind shows the appreciation and the genuine interest in this man, fucking love your channel!
Agreed. I love this kid. He totally Fkn gets it !!
When you listen to the song "One" please do the album version BEFORE you watch the official video. There is a lot of dialogue from a movie in the video. It will make sense after you hear the song and then see the video.
A good reaction might be to do both back 2 back. The video definitely adds value. The video is a masterpiece in the way that it incorporates the movie. But in a way it also distracts somewhat from the song.
I second that
Yes! I hate every reaction is the music video. One is probably my #1 favorite song from them.
Hey MB, One is a must! It’s probably the favorite for most people on this album. It’s definitely my favorite.
He already reacted to the One video. Molly should also react to the studio audio. The video is absolutely brilliant but the dialogs make it a bit tricky to fully appreciate the song itself.
Nice to see that young people still "recognize" real music :-D Greetings from Germany
You're going to love the whole album. The frayed ends of sanity is absolutely amazing and you'll love it
Iconic beginning... great chorus... amazing solo... heavy ass ending... METALLICAAAAAA 🤘🏽😎
thanks for reacting. no matter what they say... it´s my alltime favorite album from metallica. every song is a banger
We aren’t going to get tired of Metallica reactions. That’s what a lot of us fucking want! Keep up the great videos man
their best album! best feel on drums ever!
I've been watching your reaction videos for the last week or so. I'm a 57 yo guy from Arkansas who has been a heavy metal fan since the 70's and I really appreciate the fact that a young man like you is checking out some, in my personal opinion, really awesome music. I applaud your choice of journeying into the metal genre and I am certain that you are now a fan of this music that I have loved since it was created. I remember when all of these albums first appeared back when I was in my early 20's. Thrash metal really started with Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and others. I'm glad you are able to experience this music and see how technical and intricate it is. Greetings from Royal AR. 👍🇺🇸
You need to react to their concert on Seattle 89. 🙏Also react to ‘To Live is To Die’. An instrumental dedicated to Cliff and represents their different stages of grief. Fan fave. Emotional stuff!
💯 YESSSSSS!!! Seattle 89' Binge n purge is iconic Best Metal concert Ever! I was at 92' San Diego, also Excellent show. In 92' I seen them a few weeks later, right after Hetfield got burned half his body with the pyrotechnics! I thought they'd maybe not come back from that one. He couldn't play guitar for awhile, he'd burned his entire left side of his arms, hair n face! Dammmm...and it's on tape too! F#$@! Sh$t!
Even heavier and more aggressive than the studio versions! Brilliant gig.
@@Metal_Mary what? You witnessed them in their prime?! SHEES🔥
I was at that Seattle show. Awesome show
@rc5121 OG! WOW!
The whole album is deep, technical, hard, tight and intense. The songs are longer and progressive. Yes, the production is different (you'll read the story) but there are many treasures in this record. Hetfields riffs are incredible throughout. Hope you listen to 'One' at some point. Also, I think the lyrics are Hetfields best.
Enjoy 🤘
(And this album is MUCH heavier than anything they had done up until this point. They did it very deliberately)
There is also a version with proper bass recorded - ...And Justice for Jason - enjoy... 👇

well put- 👍
@@filfil8389 Thanks friend 👍
I feel alot of people are "purist". AJFA isn't kill em all. Some folks didn't like that. I dug Metallica up to the Black album. They lost me after that. A few ditties here and there. I hate to say it, no longer my genre. I dont know what they are considered now. They're so big now they could write poop on a cardboard box and people would love it. IMHO. Not hating, not even upset. They gave me wonderfull teenage years. Anything after the black album just isn't for me. Much love from Texas.💚
@@BigBbadx4 Well said. I think every song of theirs before the black album defined thrash metal. I can count on one hand how many after AJFA are even close to this caliber, but I only heard what others played because I never bought another album of theirs after black. I didn't hear the story about James and Lars mixing Jason's bass way down until many years later but that's probably why this album hit me so differently from their previous ones.
As soon as I saw this pop up, I was like, “Man, he’s gonna dig this one!” The dynamics of the soft and heavy sections of the intro…then when it sets in with that sick groove of a riff. No one can deny how tight and precise these guys are. I can’t seem to listen to anything but Acid Bath these days; however, this album still holds a special place for me. Glad to see you hear it. 🤘🏴☠️
As someone that was around from the beginning of Metallica I have to say this is my favorite album of theirs.. the weird production actually gave it a very unique sound. The guitar tones are perfect, and the riffs are heavy AF. Anyone saying this isn't a heavy album is insane! I know Lars gets stick but I love his drumming on this album. This mix really added some depth to the bass drums.. enjoyed that. I am going to have to check out a few alternative mixes of this album.
Mate, I am/was a Hip Hop fan back in the days when this first came out. My older brother was a metal head. I loved some of the Metallic, Anthrax, AC/DC, Slayer stuff that he would play . He also loved some of the Public Enemy, Run DMc and Ice T hip hop I listened to. It’s great to have an open mind with music or you can miss some awesome creations. Now my Heavy Metal brothers plays his N.W.A Albums to my 13yr old son when we visit him and I’m on CZcams searching Metallica songs ….. don’t ever stop trying different Genres. Great Vids, great channel.
When Metallica was touring for this album, I went to two different cities and seen this concert twice
They were great live
Saw them with faith no more. Incredible
*are
Me too...the Damaged Tour was awsome! Both the shows I saw had The Cult opening and they were really good.
YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!
I saw them in '89 and it was pure high-intensity mega-aggression the entire show.
Not bored... please try Spit out the bone...
Do you know what I like? Watching first time reactions and waiting for that little snipit of a song where you know they will react because it's sooooo good 😀
RIP cliff, they dropped that bass, right off the album.
Congrats on hitting 20k. I'm glad you're enjoying your dive into the world of Metal music. As a life long Metalhead my one advice I will give is, Try not to let the stupid genre labels get in your way and just enjoy the energy and sounds. 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Hello good evening. My name is Eduardo and I am from Montevideo, Uruguay and I am a big, big fan of this music. I recently started watching your videos and I really like seeing your reactions when listening to this music. He seems very genuine and sincere and we really appreciate that. Now, if you want to listen to something that will make you think about speed with the guitars, I recommend that you listen to the song, Detox, by Strapping Young Lad. The vocalist is Devin Townsend and I think listening to his songs, especially this one, will blow your mind. I send you a big hug!!!
My favorite Song. As relevant today as 1989. The lyrics are just as potent as the instruments.
1988
the longest track on the album is the instrumental "To Live is To Die" you need to do this MollyBoy, it is one of the saddest tracks in all of Metallica, it was in homage to Cliff Burton who died in 1986 in the bus accident.
I actually fucking cried hearing that song the first time. That middle part is heartbreaking. And James’ solos always emotional man.
Another awesome song. Personally my favorite Metallica album can’t wait for you to react to their Seattle 89 live performances🙏‼️
I was at that show. Awesome show
@@rc5121 No way!! You’re lucky asf man seeing them live and seeing Metallica at their Peak!!!
The Seattle 89 video is spec-feckin-tacular!!!!!!
@@MrFEFman agreed man I’m stoked asf once he reacts to it especially Master of Puppets, And Justice For All, Harvester Of Sorrow, and Battery all live from Seattle 89🙏
Simply a masterpiece
LESS GOOOO, hyped for this one. gotta finish this whole album🙏🏽
You HAVE to watch the live version of this song it Seattle 1989 best ending to a concert ever!!
I was there. Awesome show.
@@rc5121 lucky I wasn’t born yet or else I would’ve tried to be there😂😂 did get to see rush twice tho before Neil passed so thankful for my gpa for taking me to see them
Indeed, with the stage falling apart and also perfectly played.
Have a look at Rammstein. And the live versions.
"...because is my channel. And if i have to paus, i have to pause" 😆🤣😆🤣
Great words my friend!!!
Uhuh, this one is gonna be a good one!
Title track is one of my least favorites on this album (not that it's bad). I think you'll prefer Harvester of Sorrow or Shortest Straw over this one
Yeah, Shortest Straw is a banger!
Yup harvester and shortest straw are definitely the 2 best songs.
You think? My opinion is those you mentioned are "worse" than the title track. They're all good though but title track, blackened and frayed ends of sanity are my favourites!
To me Harvester of Sorrow and Eye of the Beholder could have been removed completely from the album. In my ears very boring songs.
the concert they did with the san francisco orchestra is mind blowing
Justice is my favorite Metallica record without question.
And Justice For All is my favorite album of theirs. React to “One” from this album next.
If you’re going to do one from the album after this, do “Wherever I May Roam” - it’s a monster.
He has done One already
Check his other videos. He's done One and Wherever I May Roam.
The bass guitar or lack of is people complaint. But really I’ve heard it with bass and it detracts from the tight thick sound they were going for, and really the production is perfect for the songs. They’re complex and aggressive.
Album is perfect.
Black album after this was the album that made them super stars so early fans and elitists hate it but it’s really one of the greatest albums in metal history. Sad but true may be the heaviest song ever.
It doesn’t detract lol.
@@BrainWasherAttendent just my opinion. i didnt like it with bass, it steps on the kick and guitar
Was just recommended this video even though I rarely watch reactions. It's just so darn wholesome to see the youngsters stumbling onto, and absolutely enjoying the music of my childhood. My good friend growing up bought this album in the fall of 1988 on cassette tape and immediately ran over to my house to so we could listen to it on my boombox. We were in the 4th grade and it changed our lives.
Gratz on 20k! Keep up the good work!
I didn't even know people disliked this album for anything other than mixing lmao
This is I.M.O. THE best album from Metallica.
The thing that is really unfortunate about AJFA is that this stuff was when Metallica started dabbling more with classical arrangement and prog rock ideas which was absolutely 10000000% Cliff's wheelhouse. This album is a certified classic. Had Cliff been on this one, it would have been considered by many to be the greatest metal album of all time. We can only imagine the bass parts he would have played on this and how REFINED it would have sounded as a result
Lack of bass😂
@@neilpatrickhairless instead they bullied newstead and buried his parts. Listen to the and justice for jason version of the album
AJFA is a amazing album, so much anger in that album from the passing of Cliff. The lack of bass from Jason is the only thing missing. You must do Harvester of Sorrow next....sooooo fucking heavy!!!!
Yes! Yes! Yes! Harvester!!!!!!!!
Here for the party!! Love that you're doing these mate.
Well done on the 20k 😊
Not a SINGLE bad track on this Masterpiece
Yeah...finally! Its probably studio version, hopefully remastered. Im hoping its live in Seattle 89' ..A girl can dream! 😂
Can’t go wrong with anything
Sarà la versione originale.
True..
@@Metal_Mary True True!
That show in Seattle was awesome. Whenever I watch the recording, it gets me amped up
I so wish i could hear all of these hits for the first time again! Love your reactions and content!
Great being here for the premier, don't see these often, so yea, have subbed now. Rock on \m/
Great album! 10/10
Death Magnetic is an insanely good album and produced by Rick Rubin, same guy who produced early Slayer stuff.
Unfortunately the production kinda ruined an incredible album
The first time I heard The Day that never comes I was driving home from work one night and I only heard the second half of the songI didn't know. I didn't hear the first half and I knew it was Metallica instantly and I knew they were back!!!
I am waiting for the turn comes to album Load.
Load and Reload have grown on me over the years. Unlike St Anger.
@@haxan6663 Actually Load is my favorite Metallica album. And I have a specific reason for that is: I can't listen 2 or 3 songs in a row that are in the same album. For example, And Justice For All song is nearly 10 minutes. If I play 1 more song from AJFA it will be 15 minutes of same kind of guitar tones, same kind of vocals and same kind of riffs. I don't like it, I don't want it. For the most part I just listen songs mixed from different albums. One from Master, one from Ride, one from justice, one from KEA, one from the Black. After 2 songs in a row that are in the same album is just unlistenable to me. Except for Load. I can listen the album Load in one shot. Probably its because the sound quality in Load is the best and for my taste. Before Load, vocals are just too low in the songs. One other thing is that before Load, the most important thing is the guitars not vocals. Guitars and riff are there and also there are some vocals too. But there is even instrumentals. So vocals are actually not the point. In Load guitars come to boost the vocals. James' actually singing well and beautiful. I like it better.
I like ReLoad too but not as Load. In ReLoad things that I love in Load is there again but songs, I don't find them that much interesting and beautiful.
I like the the thing that St. Anger is doing but I just hated the way it sounds. I like only 3 songs from St. Anger.
You've already done three songs from the next album: Wherever I May Roam, Nothing Else Matters, and Enter Sandman are from that album
Like I've said before, Spit Out The Bone from their 2016 album is a must listen
Easily one of my favourite albums
Harvester of sorrow is by far the best song on the album.
This album doesn't have any bad tracks. But it does have one BIG problem. The problem is the bass or the non existent bass. Blame Lars & James for this problem
And justice for jason album sounds great
Live you hear the bass
This albums prefect the way it is
I would say, the absence of low frequencies on the bass, because the bass is actually audible, but all the low frequencies are on the guitars.
Wouldn't be Justice without the dry cold sound though!
Great reaction buddy! Nothing like watching a new metalhead being born! 🤘🤘🤘
Absolutly love your reactions man, best way to start off the weekend with your channel in front of me!
I appreciate that
This was my 2nd time seeing them live, the live show for this tour was amazing. Keep up with your journey into all things metal.
Favourite album since I was 11 - never gets old
Congrats on 20k my boy
Thank you!
Dude, absolutely love watching you have the exact same reaction as I and my friends did 36 yrs ago.
🤘😎
I cannot get enough of your facial expressions!
these reactions of yours are addictive 🤨😁
Your facial expression says it all... There is so much feeling in metal music!
Been a massive fan for 34 years....this is by far my favourite album that they ever did 🤙
I got this cd when I was 14. I'm 49 now and it still hits hard!! 🤘💪💯

Can't wait ❤this whole album
I absolutely love the Metallica content!! Please keep doing them!
Great song. Great video! I cried with you.
I would listen to this on my Sony Walkman before going to sleep many nights in 1989/90. Still listening to it today. I hope these songs last forever. I sometimes fantasize about what it would be like to find this album or metal in general, really but especially an album like AJFA 100, 400, 1000, 4000 years from now. I would put on a hazmat suit and brave fallout if I knew where to find this album.
Wait till you hear THE SHORTEST STRAW!!! just subscribed. Love seeing your reaction to the music i here up with. Keep it up!!!
keep going.....real fans thrive for this.
"we can look past the quality of the drums" is a lifelong saying for us metallica fans lol
Great reaction! Bro keep doing Metallica!!!!!!!!
Great reaction 👍
My absolute fav Metallica album !!! Love the channel bro
I love this record, don’t listen to the haters. It’s in my top 3 of their records. Black Album, Master of Puppets and this record. I listen to this record when I work out.
their performance of this song in seattle '89 is awesome too, worth checking out
Ive said it on another vid but this my favorite metal album. Love it dearly and every song is great. I personally love the guitar tone and drums on this album. Epicness
Forgot wherever i may roam from the black album too. Its one of my favourites and u have already reacted to it.
Saw this concert live in Cleveland OH it was a banger ❤🤘🏻✌🏻
Hey. I’m 55 and I’ve been a metal head all my life. Just started watching your channel and I love when younger people get into and appreciate metal. Love your reactions lol.
55 here too. Good to see this generation finding Metallica and learning what we already know. My son bought me tickets to see them last year for my birthday. He is into metal as much as me.
My favourite album!!!! Dark and disturbed . Brilliant
Great seeing your reactions bro to the best band ever. Live version Seattle 89 is awesome!!!
That is how I listened to it the first time as well. I kept rewinding it!
Ppl can talk all the trash they want about "Lars,"his drumming is freaking nasty on this album and all the ones before!
Can't wait for you to do Harvester of Sorrow!! Frayed Ends of Sanity!! This album was my introduction to Heavy Metal way back in 88 or 89. My love for Metallica has never faded. What a band!!
Eff the haters mate! As a 59 year old who’s been there, it’s refreshing to see you appreciate good music! 🏴
Congrats on 20k btw!
People are over critical. Music is art. Enjoy each piece for what it is. Peace and love from a 58yo rocker who comes from a time before Metallica. It took a bit but I developed a taste for Megadeath. I was immediately hooked when Megadeath hit the scene.
Awesome song. Great album.
Best Metallica Album ever❤😊
My favorite album !! Came out when I was 21 lots of good times jamming to this. The drums sounded fine LIVE!!!!!!!
Metallica are the kings of building anticipation!
You have to listen to shortest straw next. That's a banger! Great channel mate. 🤘🏼
DO THE WHOLE ALBUM PLEASE!!!
The people who say they don't like this album secretly love it😂❤🤘🤘👻
Justice is my favorite album, it got me into playing guitar. Glad to see a reaction from it I haven't already seen
I remember seeing the "And Justice For All" tour live back in 88 or 89(I think) with my brother and a friend. I think we were 13 or 14, no adult supervision needed back then lol. First and best concert I've ever seen! Good to see the younger generation appreciating it still these days.
