Conor needs to keep the illusion alive at least for a few more weeks. And White is telling the truth in that no date has been booked for McG's return and that there's a chance Conor never fights in the octagon again.
It'll probably happen this time. But if he can't beat Chandler (and beat him decisively), it will be time for the Mac to retire and focus on his other ventures.
