I'm a fairly new follower, I found you through your Sony A7 iii tutorial. I've binged so many videos, you are thorough and also you make things realistic? I'm a photographer but I often get stuck between an idea and the actual process of creating, but I like watching your videos because they have clear steps? Even pros get stuck sometimes! And it's great to have you to help me get unstuck.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm happy to hear that! I try to present things as easy to understand as possible and I will try to show more unconventional stuff as well!
@@JasonVong same here. After following you and watching your tutorials on the A73, I tossed my Canon 5d3 and got two A73 cameras. Still getting used to them but I'm so happy for the upgrade! Thanks Mr Vong😁😁
Love watching creators like you Jason your thoughts are different but spark thoughts for others.
Great sharing as usual. Thank you for the tips and helping us improve!
I'm trying to get into photography, and this video has really motivated me to go out and photograph anything that appeals to me. But great tips of what to do in such a simple way, thank you Jason :)
I appreciate your straight forward and simple approach.
Hey jason! i've been watching you since day one. I'm not an alpha user. I'm a fuji but most of your tips when it comes in photography really helps. hoping sooner I could have enough money to buy sony the one I'm eyeing is the a7iv paired with 24 - 70. but my fuji will be staying as I just love the color science of it. looking forward for more videos from you! stay safe!
Great tips! I definitely recommend others to watch this video even if you're not a Sony user. Very beneficial to your workflow and helps eliminate your mistakes.
Thank you for another great video! Your honest simple approach two Lightroom and Instagram were extremely helpful. I’m looking forward to your next release!
Everytime I come here i Always learn something new! Thanks man for making my basics in photography clear😊❤️
Your tip on composition was spot on man. Same for "being different". These rules have haunted me since I picked up photography again, but only recently I've found that these are just guidelines, and there are no rules. Enjoying the capture has become my only rule now.
Thank you, Jason! Very helpful infomation. This is exatly what I need right now as a newbie in photography
Great video! I’ve been doing photography for a while but not as a pro so always find it helpful to hear different perspectives. Thanks!!
More pre set and raw editing and especially Xperia Pro i content is so welcome
Thank you for inspiring so well
Recently I needed some help about photography and one of your videos was very helpful. Since then I have been watching a lot of your videos and finally decided to subscribe as well as turn on the post notification 🙂. Thanks for the tips. Keep up the hard work...
I love the Pokemon comparison. Just because someone else has a pikachu doesn't mean its the same as your pikachu.
exactly!
Thanks for the video Jason! The Lightroom and Instagram tips were really useful for us!
I like your photos so much. Good job! 😃👍
Thank you for the info about the anti-glare lens hood!
This video is really inspiring and encouraging.
Great video and very useful tips 👍. I think I watched this video 3 times by now 😅 . I love that you add all camera settings in each photo 🤞
Great video and content Jason. It's been a pleasure to watch your skills grow!
Yo Jason, the tips are much appreciated!! Love your content.
Your A7iv set up was super helpful!!
Just found your channel. Love it dude 🙌 good educator, great character, no nonsense, great talent. Spot on.
This was a super valuable video, in terms of travel photography and just shooting what makes you happy :)
Thanks for the tips🙌🏽
That low light ISO at 100 tip is 🔥
The photos on the Xperia are amazing. Wow! Might have to buy that.
Great tips! Those sunset shots over the city were AWESOME :)
Thank you!! 😁
Love your channel! 😊
Concepts effort and skills are always far more important than gears
💯
Can totally relate to that Pokemon comparison xD
You get great photos on your travels, thanks for sharing some of your methods. That no glare cover was interesting - never seen that before!
I've always been so hesitant getting it but finally pulled the trigger for one. I'm going to see how it holds up. Generally they don't last too long
Sony - fantastic best smartphone
Lots of energy drinks, stay up all night and then nap when getting home from the morning golden hour 💪 only way I can get up to the morning shots 😅🤣😂
Gotta catch them all!
sony perfect picture 📸
Nice video!
I enjoy taking outdoor pictures, what is a perfect Lens you would recommend for the Alpha 7 IV?
Hey jason, you've inspired me to become a better photographer. Your videos made me to convert from Fuji to Sony and I would always watch your videos for any photography tips from choosing the right camera, lens and to its very own settings. I was wondering if you would make a video on how you do your travel portrait photography like you did with your low light videos?
I will consider this!!
Bro all your video photo superb cristal clear amazing
Thank you!
This is so valuable!
Thanks
Hi there. Thank you so much for your videos. Great information 👍👍👍
I will
Like to use my Sony a7iv and send the pictures I take to my iPhone 12 Pro max. I haven’t been able to find anything that works like SnapBridge for Nikon systems. Also, what Sony phone you use? Would i need a Sony cell phone to accomplish what I want?
Thank you sir
Hey what’s up Jason I think you should cover taking photos in extreme low light situation for fast action movement
nice tips!
Dope !!!
Hi Jason. I am used to Shure SM7B. This one has many plosives. Not sure of you fixed the mic rumble or not but honestly unchecked this mic from buying list. Thanks. Your follower from Baghdad.
it will be fixed in a video after my next upload!!
Hi i am using both sony a73 and a74, thinking to get a 55f1.8 to add into my equipment but i am thinking if i should be using be pairing the A7III or A7IV with the 35mm to do some vlog, any suggestion for it?
nice one
Do you have any tutorials on the canon rebel t6i?
Hello I have a Sony a7iv how to get a group of people in focus
Hi Jason, i currently have a Action 4 getting ready to purchase a Pocket 3 both for travel vlogging. I would like to get a 3rd camera with a telephoto; i was considering a full frame hybrid because I want to take photos as well. My dilemma is I dont want my third camera so large for travel. Any suggestions? Thx!
Where did you get the blue peak design anchors
Hey Jason! Anti glare lens hood, damn, never heard of it before. Have been using my black hoodie all this while! And now when I searched, this piece of equipment isn't available in Amazon India! Jason, please carry it along for me whenever you plan to visit India. Please!
I'm trying to figure out how you got the shot at 2:20. It looks like a long exposure, but there's no motion blur.
I did a big client portrait shoot last week with my new a7iv and the jpegs look AMAZING especially the skin smoothing.
But when I open the raws I am kind of shocked how ugly the colours look in comparison? Previously in my experience raws would just look flatter but light room is showing my a7iv raws in a strange way. Looks like there's contrast and clarity and the colours look so muddy.
Basically resorting to editing the jpgs lol,
What could be causing this problem?
Latest version of light room on an m1 air.
More research saves time, walking, money, and storage.
Yo when you next come to London let me know I will take you to some amazing locations ,
I have a cannon t3i with a 24-105 f/4 lens and love it but after this I now want a Sony lol
Another great post, thanks Jason! One question for you, after creating so many great images, what do you do with them? Sell, share or is it just for personal pleasure?
I just share them. From time to time, I would get contacted about licensing and I have licensed a few of my images and videos in the past
How are you funding your travels? It’s expensive to live in hotels?
You know what I would love? If I could send you just few of my raw/edited photos, so you could give me some directions. I am an amateur photographer, I use a7III + sony 85 1.8 and a 24-105 4 G. But somethinh is missing in my photos and I can't find out what.
Can you make video for some transmitting app
Jason, your thoughts on using a MONOPOD on rooftops, etc. where a tripod is not acceptable?
I feel like if tripod is not allowed, I think they will also prevent you from bringing in a monopod as well. I haven't tried personally with a monopod. However, I have been okay'd with a mini table top tripod in the past. But for my last trip to Top of the Rock in NYC, I just use another camera as a tripod 🤣 as seen in 1:42 of this video.
Hi, what are your settings for your Shure MV7 microphone?
30db, flat EQ, limiter on, and light compressor
Where did you get those text effects ? A little detail really matters ! Nice video !
Thank you! they're from motionvfx made for FCPX
Dumb question for you. While using your, Pro I as a monitor, can you play back what you just shot? I got mine set up but I can't view my shots after I take them. I wasn't sure if I have a bad capture card or if it's even possible?
Same. The monitor only does the camera feed. For playback, you have to view it on the phone.
My photos on social media are often blamed for being Google copies, so yeah I know the struggle of getting exactly what others has.
I am a hybrid shooter and I want to buy 24-70 f2.8 but I am on a very tight budget. Looking at the Rokinon (Samyang) 24-70 F2.8, is this a good lens to buy?
I haven't used that one specifically. But I have used the Tamron and Sigma 28-70mm and they're fantastic, esp for the price!
@@JasonVong thank you for your reply, it is nice viewing your videos. Learned a lot from you. Stay safe.
what is your image format on the camera menu? is it RAW or JPEG?
RAW + JPEG!
How about Xperia 1II? It only has 1.4 and 1.7 aperture, is it good in low light? I hope you have some photos.
I don't have any photos with that particular phone unfortunately :(
@@JasonVong Oh, too bad, that's the only gear I have right now to learn photography
@@angelevarcurioso8523 That's perfect to learn with. Does the 1 II have the Photography Pro app? Definitely try out the Sunrise / Sunset tip and still give low light a go with the phone. it's important to just know the settings for now before graduating to a mirrorless camera.
Hey Jason, I have a good one for you. WHAT is your secret plan to infiltrate inside a skyscraper and position yourself for the sniper shot? Do you just walk in "hey I'm just a photographer" and they let you in or what?
Might have to ask the Winter Soldier for that 😂
@@JasonVong Dude like seriously, how do you get inside skyscrapers!? 🤣
@@AndresHernandez-fd1hi most of the ones I go to are public accessible. Most of them do charge admissions esp the NYC ones are very pricey. The London ones however are currently free. They are usually chill with pro cameras but are strict on tripods.
@@JasonVong alright I'll try my luck lol thanks again!
I want to be an photographer but i dont have camera because I have a sick i cant afford any camera 😭
Hi Jason, are you aware you flipped off half the world at the end of the video? The V-sign with palm in is a rather rude gesture here in the UK as well as Australia, South Africa etc.? :)
So I’ve been told 🙈
Love Your Body Of Work. I'm Always Interested In Your Videos On: Cityscapes. Night Photography. Night Videography. Do you upload to "Stock" sites? Ever use HDR to create a bit of an "unusual" look? I love HDR, as it makes my work look a bit different. Your thoughts? Aloha Blessings For 2022 from Maui.
I haven't uploaded to stock sites but I have been contacted (though rarely) about licensing and I have licensed a few of my images and videos in the past
